It was amazing. 'Why is life so sad and so beautitul?' is what this drama made me think as I was sobbing watching the last episode. It is worth watching, I recommend. Don't be afraid to cry because this is not only crying, it makes you feel alive also. I loved it. One of the best drama, if not THE best drama of the year. Brillant acting and storytelling. Beautiful, beautiful drama.
Men cheat and women bear with it. Before anyone jump at me, I have been watching all kind of Japanese drama since middle school and Japanese drama got me into dramas at first. I lived in Japan so I know a bit about society. Is cheating acceptable? No. Asura just showed us how Japanese society is still years late in men/women relationship. The fact that it took place in the 70' is just an excuse. This drama is pure Japanese in a lot of aspects with the weird fetichisation of women's body, cheating is not a big deal and a woman should not make a fuss of it. The title itself? "Asura"? Takao says it himself: women look like pure on the outside but are actually vicious on the inside, what the hell? And this is the conclusion? However, the filming is beautiful, the acting is very good (nice to see Uchino Seiya again, I didn't recognize him at first) but the story..? Nope.
Canβt complain about the acting, the setting, directing and all that comes with it, but OMG I donβt think…
I'm the same as you... I finished it pretty quickly tho hoping I would understand toward the end but nope. I simply didn't understand while I still could "enjoy" the acting and the quality of production.
First, having a misunderstanding again really got on my nerves π but then I liked the episode, quick 40min! If I were Chi Cheng, I think I'd need holidaysThe scene with Wang Shuo was great, I'd like to see them playing together again, Idk there's something good between them kind of
I'm really looking forward to next week's episode! We can already guess how the situation will be resolved, and I hope more of Cheng Yu and Xiao Shuai ! Btw the way Cheng Yu got involved in the fight was sooo random π I feel like he would've try to stop Chi Cheng more than throwing fits (bottle in that case) for no reason it seems?
Tbh I really liked this episode. It felt less messy than last week's. Every characters always have different dynamic with each others which is very pleasant to see. I especially liked Chi Cheng and Wang Shuo's in this one. Wang Shuo was interesting, and that rumour since day one that says Cheng Yu likes Chi Cheng kills me everytime. Chen Yu seems so dumbfounded π
Splendid mini drama, the cinematography is beautiful and very colorful, the chemistry between the characters was great, I loved it! Very contemplative, the emotions are well delivered. It felt like watching a Ghibli all along. The vibe and the aesthetic reminded me of I told the sunset about you/I promised you the moon
I'm ep 6 and still don't understand... Overall I'm watching a serie with a plot I don't understand π₯² only Gao…
Yes I realized some of it by the end of the 6th ep (I actually had forgotten about their first meet) but didn't get the whole X Company thing. I had it for the Enigma too π Thanks for explaining
