I am admittedly late to the party. I was skeptical at first on this one so I figured I’d just let some episodes build up before starting, so I could really give it a chance. Probably didn’t need to do that because the first episode has me hooked and I don’t see myself not watching til the end.
I do like PoohPavel. I really like them. The problem is I really only liked them in the first half of PittBabe S1. They didn’t wow me all that much through the end of S1 or any of S2. And that’s likely just been my own personal qualm. One thing I always did love though was when they let Pooh take his silly glasses off. He was almost a different character as Charlie when he had his glasses on versus his glasses off. I just never was a fan of him with his glasses on; it was never the vibe.
This has been so fun because we’ve got Pooh, glasses off, facial expressions just covering every base. And when you add that with Pavel‘s charisma. It’s two magnets that the slow burn will surely make you so angry that they don’t get pulled together quicker or sooner.
I’m digging this and so happy I’ve got many more episodes to binge before I get caught up. 🤞
I’m starting to form ridiculous theories as to why the S2 page isn’t on here yet. My top theory is that hopefully there’s a member of BTS that guest stars and they’re trying to keep that on the lowdown so they haven’t posted the page with the cast list in order to keep that a secret. Probably not that though. My other not so hot take is that because this was filmed in Switzerland and Vietnam, and not in an Asian locale that MDL supports on its site, that’s why they’re not putting out a S2 page. More than likely it’s neither of these reasons, I’m just so confused as to why there isn’t a S2 page on here yet.
Imagine crying and claiming the characters aren't blood related when it's the whole ass reason they even met in…
They’re not blood-related though. Iljo is a stepbrother into the family, which makes him not at all blood-related to Jeonghan, who is his stepbrother’s cousin.
The editing and continuity people need to slow their roll and do a better job. You can’t be jumping between past and present without context so much and expecting the viewer to do all the work. This is short format viewing, figure that shit out, stop making it so incomprehensible to the point of confusion. But other than that, I really am enjoying this.
I’m either way off base or the nth person to say this, but this is so Fifty Shades of Grey, but KBL coded. Which I’m not throwing shade at, not at all. This is something else, and also something really fun.
Wish I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Not really worth it. My complaint isn’t the lacking plot, it’s the lack of purpose. It wasn’t misleading, it was directionless. By the end I could have cared less about any of the characters really. My wish is that this would have tried to create real emotion, instead of just playing with my feelings.
I’m really liking this so far. I’m a bit confused though on what exactly is Fan Xiao’s motivation. I just can’t get a good feel on why he has chosen to put Shu Lang in his crosshairs. Is he really upset about the minor fender bender? Seems like a little thing to want such a big revenge for. But then again, not really knowing what exactly he’s up to is also part of the fun of it.
By the end of ep7 I thought there’s just no way forgiveness could ever be found after all that went down between Pheem and Than. Their relationship had become a dumpster fire. Pheem really went the route of doing the absolute unforgivable. But by the end of ep8… I’m thinking just maybe they have a chance and I’m liking their odds. I’ve embraced everything toxic between them and just want to see them back together again.
I’m just a lurker in the comments, but idk. I really think I need to wait to start watching after this finishes, and that’s not really how I do things. I usually don’t want to know the ending, but after reading the comments so far, this is giving me those vibes that knowing the end is needed before putting myself through all of this angst, I don't think I have the energy for it right now.
In case you’re scrolling the comments to get an idea of if you should start this show, in my humble opinion, it’s a resounding yes. I just binged the first 4 episodes because I was also hesitant to begin, but I’m really enjoying this. The storyline is really good, the acting is immersive and believable, and the action isn’t half bad either. I’m glad I gave it a chance and started watching, I hope you will too.
