I don’t understand why Princess Wanning suggested the entry exam scholars to team up only to have Shen Yurong still pick Jiang Li as the top winner. And does the Li family work for her since they mentioned sacrificing their son to be a monk to impress her. How can Shen Yurong kill his wife who he supposedly loves just because the princess asked him to but can still say no to her in other things.
I also don’t get why the Jiang mother wants Jiang Li gone so bad, she isn’t in her way of inheritance or anything so why the desperation to get rid of her?

Has no one here watched story of yanxi palace or legend of hao Lan? Because everyone is commenting how this is their first time watching an intelligent FL and a great revenge story. Wu Jin Yan is the perfect Fl for this drama as she’s done the above mentioned dramas which have similar vibes.

Have you watched Story of Yanxi Pakace or Legend of Hao Lan? Both have same FL and same vibe with intelligent FL who is able to scheme and is clever in others scheming plans against her and revenge story.

I think it was funny when they were investigating and joined the troupe and she did the opera of legend of the white snake acting as Bai Yao Yao and Xu Xuan. Because Allen Ren actually played Xu Xuan in the drama a year before this in The Legend of the white Snake haha and he looks exactly the same with his looks and facial actions.

You need to watch ep 1 again. Su Wan died, and asked her sister to marry the crown prince because she’s the Achilles heel (meaning weakness to the other prince that loves her. She wants her to raise WAN’s child for 5 years and stay by emperor’s side until her son is old enough to read and write Etc.
