Oh btw I just remembered since you say anime, "Violet Evergarden" is my all the time fav, its so beautiful visually and the plot as well, its about a girl who fought in the war as a lifeless weapon and after the war ends, shows how she navigates her emotions and love. Genuinely a masterpiece. I've drawn her and painted her multiple times, thats how gorgeous she is and how much of an impression the anime left on me <3

In terms of cinematography, "my journey to you" and "veil of shadows" has got to be the best I've watched, you can check out their descriptions and see which one you'd like. Oh and Zhang Linghe is the ML in MJTY as well!! Both are cdramas, historical, one is wuxia and other is xianxia I believe.

What's with all the hate FL is getting? I see this in every modern drama's comments, why can't we just let women live, they don't need to be perfect, they can have personality, their own priorities, or naiveness. Y'all are acting like we don't have our own flaws irl too.

I think more than just some people, so many people skipped even watching this one, because the whole age situation was so weird.

You know, I originally did not want to watch this drama at all because of the age situation, despite loving both the actor and the actress. Especially because I didn't want to support or normalise such incidents in the industry, and it goes against my morals. But considering there's nothing good airing atm, and I really need smth to watch, I started this drama, just to give it a try. And the plot is actually so good, hello??? The visuals are stunning too. This drama had so much potential yet lost so many viewers due to the age concerns. They should have just cast another actress or shot this drama a few years later if they really wanted Ai Mi, because she actually fits the role really well and is gorgeous; however, it's really uncomfortable to watch during the intimate scenes. Ai Mi is literally my age, and this feels so wrong. Yet, this drama is actually so well-paced and beautiful. UGHHHH, what do I even do? How can they produce such good dramas while messing up the age gaps? Literally would have been fine if she was filming with someone her age, at least. Neo did such a good job on this project too. I hope such incidents don't repeat, though.

I'm at ep5, and I'm a bit confused because the lady in the mansion who was introduced as a maid and treated ML's wounds is later addressed as sister by FL and the crown princess, and she's apparently the mother of that child. Does that make her a concubine of the family? And that's ML's child? And FL is the third wife/women in his life? Or did I miss smth 😭😭
