Short tidbit regarding the secondary leads; Oh Hyun Kyung's character is a restaurant owner, Kang Byul's character is a real piece of work[jealousy towards her sister, the FL], and Shin Jung Yoon is FL's past love(unknown if that will remain true to the current timeline)
KBS Drama official Instagram posted a photo of the secondary leads(along with the primary leads Baek Sung Hyun and Ham Eun Jung) for the upcoming daily that will replace this one; Oh Hyun Kyung, Kang Byul, and Shin Jung Yoon https://www.instagram.com/p/C3USBBXOQFU/
I will post a reply to this containing a link to a summary of each main character's description in spoiler mode. Unfortunately, MSN links are very ass if they contain any hangul(when you copy and paste the link, there are a bunch of symbols where the hangul is supposed to be), but there aren't any other links at this time, so it will have to do.
An Instagram account was also opened in conjunction with this YouTube account(to post content from the channel/notify if a new video/shorts has been uploaded there): https://www.instagram.com/nobreggi_official/
haha yeah, saw it on twitter just now 😂. Seems like it's because filming for next daily had been slightly delayed.
Oh, so that's why. KBS Drama Instagram said the reason more episodes were added was because of the rise in viewrate(I questioned this because the viewrate lately has been tiptoeing between 9-11%, with peak viewership being at 11.7% in Korea, so I didn't find it believable lol)
will be interesting to see how much improvement her acting has gotten throughout the years
It wasn't seeing the light before back when this finished because of the Hallyu ban wave. Then the bs allegations surrounding Zhang Zhe Han happened(though I'm not sure this played a factor in this drama remaining on the shelf).
Rest in peace. Another wonderful veteran actor lays his head down after countless years of being a significant figure during the earlier times of cinema. I imagine his last moments were spent filled with happiness.
HUH!? Her most iconic drama "Jewel in the Palace" is getting a 2025 remake to celebrate 20 years since its release + she will be reprising her role as the main character, Jang Geum? ETA: Looks to be a follow up rather than a remake. Still exciting news.
Unfortunately we'll have to wait another year. Also I don't expect a full recasting, as in they are probably going to have to pick different actors for the other roles.
ETA: Hmm, it looks to be a follow-up to this series rather than a remake. Ah well, still exciting news regardless! You're right on them re-releasing this with high quality though...
Unfortunately, it's very accurate to how his IRL counterpart was like; a selfish coward who would do anything…
Yes. The government under King Injo's rule heavily favored the Ming Empire over the Qing's; as such, Injo saw Crown Prince Sohyeon, who spent his time in Qing territory trying to prevent hostilities from breaking out between Qing and Joseon, as pro-Qing, and subsequentially, a threat to his throne.
Kang Da Hyun(actress portraying sister-in-law of Kang San) has tied the knot with her boyfriend today(on January 26, 2024, January 27 her time zone)! I wish her and her family the best in life. As far as I'm aware at the moment according to some Instagram stories, Ban Min Jung, Kim Young Ho, and Jung Woo Yeon(she worked with Da Hyun along with Kim Young Ho in MBC Daily Drama "A Good Supper") attended her wedding.
I don't know who checks this particular page at this point in time(given that this drama is already complete), but I'm commenting this because I know there were quite a bit of people here who stuck around because they liked the actors portraying the characters(they gave it 120% of their all even when the plotline was at its lowest point).
How was that man the King. He's way worse than the Qing empire tbh! How can he treat his people and the CROWN…
Unfortunately, it's very accurate to how his IRL counterpart was like; a selfish coward who would do anything to maintain his throne.
Honestly, part of me does feel sorry for any actor that has to portray this particular king, because he's notoriously known in history as one of, if not, the WORST kings during the Joseon Era.

(Not even sure mild is the right word on this particular instance but nothing else comes to mind lol)
