This is a pretty good drama. It's nothing too special, but it's enjoyable enough to watch. As one reviewer already said, the real star of this drama is Kyoto itself. That's what kept drawing me back to this series. I loved seeing just how beautiful Kyoto is the scenery, the kimono, all the traditional things, etc. Although according to that same reviewer, the producers of the drama were very careful to only show the beautiful parts of Kyoto and to not show the modern less beautiful parts.
I guess the rating is low because people don't like realistic rom-coms. They only want to see the beginning of the relationship and just believe that the couple lives happily ever after. This is different. It's an entire 6 year relationship. In our day and age, relationships don't last forever. They're bittersweet, like this drama.
This was so good! You would be hard-pressed to find another couple like these two. A bi-polar girl and a guy that's too nice for his own good. Each episode is happy and a little bit sad. It's realistic. It's a bittersweet drama in just the right way.
I tried to watch Gintama 2 several times, but something kept putting me off. It kind of seemed like the subs were subpar. I finally searched for better subs, and I immediately notice that it's waaay better. LOL now I can watch it in peace.
Impressive article. I've watched them all except season six. I liked all of it a lot except episode 1 and the special. I need to watch 6. My favorite side character is the guy with glasses whom she never remembers. My favorite villian is the old fat doctor who likes women. But really, I just love both of those actors anyway. I would picker her shinpai... saying also, but change and challenge cracked me up too.
I was surprised to hear about this movie after I watched Django unchained. I didn't watch it, because I didn't think it would be good. Your review has changed my mind. Now I want to watch it. But I will wait until after I finish Taira no Kiyomori. I love Tarantino and Miike btw.
Like, one person for both of them to share? *Thinks naughty thoughts*
