The producer said we would get one ShiDe extra ep this month and the offical music video of Hard To Let Go(The ending song) featuring the story of the doctor & his crush. We can know what happened between the two.
I had no idea about this. That's very interesting. Do the other actors speak with Taiwanese accent and are the…
To be honest, every Taiwanese dramas face the problem of accent when they wanna promote their shows in China. HIStory series were all criticized by the Chinese initially for the accent 'cuz they think Taiwanese accent sounds sissy when Taiwanese men speak and the accent feels like it comes from the countryside. You can sometimes see them ridicule Taiwanese BL, saying it looks like two ukes falling in love with the accent. But they still watch the dramas later anyway (pirated version of course) 'cuz they don't have any chance to watch their own BL and Taiwan is the only BL that speaks mandarin in the market. Then they will all fall in love with the dramas and stop criticizing but sometimes their love to the dramas are too hard to handle. If they don't like how the story goes, they will attack the actors and the writers and the directors. And due to the small market in Taiwan, the actors and the production companies usually cater to what Chinese fans want so they will open their Weibo accounts to gain popularity. That's why they sometimes make some dramas about the Taiwan/China issue if the actors don't say he himself is Chinese. The funny thing is the official platforms sometimes work with the illegal subs teams in China to plan some giveaway projects to promote the BL dramas…If you are the one who pays for the money to watch the show, you will not be happy with it. That's what I've gathered throughout these years. In conclusion, if any Taiwanese show is popular in China, the team better be prepared for some unexpected turn someday.
I've seen that specific bridge in other Taiwanese dramas, I'm sure! Maybe Refresh Man with Aaron Yan? Anyway,…
Actually, he has been quite open about it since the incident. He said he would wanna do a bl during an interview after the incident. He even invited some popular LGBT guests on his talk show to talk about the situation. His career may be ruined in China but it's quite okay in Taiwan from what I've seen.
It funny how people are picky with any show that has a GMM tag and just ignore how bad are most thai BL LOLThis…
GMM got the highest budget to make any BL dramas so people's expectations are pretty high. But I think the first ep is quite impressive. It's been so long since I liked last GMM BL. The only problem for me is this story is basically the BL version of the Korean drama, "Falling For Innocence," only with different settings. But almost all the bl dramas have some elements of straight dramas so I'm gonna just let it pass. After all, the execution is more important.
Hmmm… WTF is happening with the rating. This one and We Best Love are my current favorites but they only got those kind of scores. If Mr. Queen got 8.8, these two should be at least 8.5.
Dang Douban currently has this drama rated the same as MDL 8.4 on 3295 people reviewing it. I think the interesting…
At first, most Chinese fans were heavily criticizing his Japanese accent but after ep 2, they're getting used to it and found it cute. Just like what you said, they usually hate actors who can't speak their lines with standard mandarin and they usually can't tolerate any accent. That's why they usually find Taiwanese dramas cringey due to Taiwanese accent. I usually don't care too much about their comments on any actors' accent 'cuz it shows they think their mandarin is the high class one but others with accents are pure peasants. But I'm happy more people are talking about the show and Yu's IG followers have been surging for the past few weeks and even his music video went from less than 10,000 views to almost 100,000 views.
LOL So many comments on weibo are debating if this show surpasses HIStory franchise. Many Chinese fans think ep 5 is a God-tier ep to be remembered in BL history. The building to the confession, the four doubting/questioning to ShuYi from ShiDe on the bridge, the complete demonstration of ShuYi's personality after 4 eps of description… ShiDe is not a coward when he takes a step back. Have you ever loved a straight guy and then he told you he wanna date a woman? Do you know how heartbreaking is it when you know it's never going to work? Letting go is the only answer to this mess. BL is not a reality so ShiDe's insecurity during the brige scene is vivid and so well-done. But thank god it's BL so we can see his love finally blossom the way he wants.
But I still need to say there were also classic eps in HIStory franchise and I think they are all great in their own leagues.
It's probably from the noodles Xuan was eating when he remembered the "miss me?"This episode had so many feels
Yes. Can't wait to watch their story in season 2. The official described them as a "sick couple". It means they are not mentally stable and healthy so it will be interesting to see.
