It's already ep 4 but the hype for this show in Taiwan is still pretty underwhelming. Not because they think this show is bad but because of political reasons. This show was a WETV production, aka China's media outside China. Most of Taiwanese fans who support LGBT & BL don't like China for what they do to LGBT, BL and other things related to freedom of speech and Taiwan's existence as a country. And they seldom watch dramas through any Chinese viewing platforms so few people would really buy VIP to watch this BL. If people wanna promote this show on their biggest online forum, some people would reply, saying it's a China based media, people should be careful of your personal information got recorded and saved after registering to VIP. That's why not many Taiwanese people watch this. And because it's funded by a Chinese media, the actors and the platform sometimes need to cater to what Chinese fans want when they got interviewed or livestreamed. For instance, Yu is Japanese & Taiwanese from our international fans' logic but the actors sometimes would say he is Chinese & Japanese when he got introduced so the "Taiwan is not a country/Wuhan Virus 2gether twitter shit" won't happen again. But it also angers some Taiwanese fans… It's such a pity for a good show got ignored not because it's bad but for other reasons.
I'm kind of hopfeul that they may have a falling-out at the end of ep5 and then get together in the finale of season 1.
