Cherry Magic is another example since I know Japanese to some level. Although now we're blessed with subs at the moment the show is released, the unofficial translation by BL fans are much more professional, imo. Sadly Adam Uni doesn't do subs for Taiwanese BL anymore or he would be much more accurate.

It's not something very important that will be lost in translation but the fact that the translator didn't stick to the original meaning really bothers me. For instance, when Shu Yi said Shi De "talked back a lot" after asking who Shi De liked. Actually, what Shu Yi said in mandarin was Shi De's mouth was like a clam shell, which means Shi De is a secret keeper who won't share his private things with others. But the translator translate it into "Talk back a lot" Also, when the doctor said if Gao Shi De was full of love, just spread it. Actually, it's not what the doctor said at all. He said Shi De should go to do recycling since he's full of love. Recycling is a common use for Chinese speakers to say somebody who is so pathetic that he wants somebody who is already abandoned by others or somebody no one wants.…The doctor is being sarcastic. And there are so many lines translated so wrong like these for the past three eps.
He is a famous French celebrity in Taiwan due to his appearance in talkshows. He is now moving in the direction of acting and he is speaking Chinese in the film. He has a very thick French accent when speaking Chinese.
Hmmmm...It's now getting more and more popular in China. I really hope anything will be alright. Don't want another HIStory & 2gether online fighting mess to happen again.
Trapped's issues were from the wrtier who wrote MODC. She extended the original draft of supposedly only 8 eps by Lin Pei Yu. Lin Pei Yu said the setting and the plot got changed massively during her writer fan meeting.
And Lin Pei Yu is really the God tier of Taiwanes BL. Her writing is just so smooth and intriguing. I was so against school drama but I still watch this show after knowing it's her work. AND THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT. She should be in the wall of fame in the BL world.
Why is Taiwanese drama still so underrated…It's been so many years since HIStory1 and I can still see people saying it's their first time watching a BL drama besides Thailand & other countries in the comment section…I was like are you living under the rock or something…
I was already prepared for the drama for being short since it's from the production company of Red Balloon but...............it still feels way too short after watching so many proper long bl dramas for the past few years. But great start though and it's also trending on Mydramalist page, which is quite a shock to me since it's not from Thai that usually did so many promotions.
LOL And it suddenly dropped to 8.9 in one night like Crossing The Line did yesterday. UTWMA also dropped to 8.8 in one night. Some BL fans from that Thai drama can be so stupid and childish!
