No blood or step-brother. You are either born, adopt, or join a clan. Every generation call each “brother or sister”. Some case they are blood siblings, most case no blood relationship and the depending on the feeling: some see each as siblings and don’t Developed romantic feelings, some do and tend to marry each other.

Clan brother once remove (my joke) lol WKX’s father and ZZS’s master are in the same clan or alliance, like the five lake brothers. They knew each other when they little, till the clan/alliance was destroyed. I said alliance because in this world, you have your clan but the clan joined together to form a large clan-alliance and they is considered to family.

From the spoiler videos, they are from the same alliance and they are ‘clan brother’, so it may implied Axu’s feeling toward xing as brotherly. I thinks it really up to the person’s interpretation. They are still the most important person to each other.
I haven’t read the book, so this just from watching the show and I don’t if it is different from book. But, I suspected that Wen Ke Xing and Axu are like childhood friend (sweetheart ;) After Ke Xing figured out AXu’ true name, he became more affectionate (like he is more real about pursue him and not just playing flirting) and in 10, when he talk about losing something a long ago, but finding it again. What do you guys think?
Does anyone know if the peanut band that keep pop up in later episodes, is a real band? When it first pop up, I was “product placement”, now I come to think of it as a minor character that just pop up for fun. Did this company financed this show?

Yes. I was saying the same thing as you. ‘I must finish...’because I was watching for yibo. I agreed the chemistry between two wasn’t great for the ‘suppose great love’ or ‘I will died without you’ but more of siblings or friendship. Actually, all the chemistry between the couples were off. At one point I felt that I was actually watching two dramas at the same time, one is about Fei and the other about her cousin, which made sense when I later found that the script was written by several peoples and they seem to not talk to each. The actors shouldn’t have play their younger self in the flashback because it confused me about their ages and their chemistry to other characters. Production seem also spend more money on the Yibo’s costumes the setting and some of fighting wasn’t that great. It is not a bad drama, but lacking. At less, it was good enough for me to finish it and didn’t hate it. It was just ?
