A love between a girl who hears lies and a boy no one wants to believe. A story that questions the merit of truth in the face of trust, ability or none.
This was warm and fuzzy. I even loved so many of the side-characters which is pretty rare for me. Which makes me all the more glad for the nice way everyone's story got tied up by the end of it ~
Listen. I bought the Stormlight Archive in their hardback anniversary editions. Holding those bricks around for weeks tired me out so much that I broke it up into sessions reading it online π Comfort before looks π
That being said, I love having a range on the shelf. So both win in truth π
hwang inyeop is totally overhyped in this drama! i like him, but i think the character of han seojun is overestimated…
I love him. Just depends on what angle we're talking about it.
I don't see why people ship him with the MC; the show itself never tried to hype him in this way. But as an individual I adore him. He wasn't just "a second-love interest" but an actual character irrespective of JuGyeong. The warmth he treats others with (including Suho and JuGyeong) gets to me. He somehow attached the term "green-flag" to "bad-boy".
But I agree with you. I'm in the same boat as any who love him. But I rarely expect individual characters from dramas to get plenty attention. Same for True Beauty. Yet SeoJoon does.
Moody's Cell: You start a drama, then drop it after 2 episodes. Your PTW is exploding, but you watch a random drama that's not in the list. You rant on the Feeds about how you hate a trope, then next time you know, you choose a drama with exactly that trope. You don't even know what your taste is anymore, but hey, who cares about being put in a box.
The only line that's right is the first one (VERY often). Don't have a planning list at all and I try to only talk about what I DO like because that's all I want to see on my own feeds. And I know my tastes pretty well I think xD
there is no touch of romance between first leads, they are only sharing the same pain of losing their relatives…
Curiosity about Cha Eun Woo's acting was what brought me to it and while I expected to be impressed, he actually did well beyond that. As you say, acting played a huge role in bringing out the strengths of the story.
For me, it was already written well. Themes were clear, every scene mattered, the reveals pieced together properly and the ending was satisfying.
Some things were predictable cause I knew every piece had to play a key role but through the more important angle that's its pro. I did want more wholesome moments to ease the stress and because I went in with different expectations of what it was, but that's a me thing. It did its job; the amount I wanted wouldn't have made sense in this story.

I loved it. I probably can't rewatch it cause I don't want to go through all of the pain again, but it was brilliant. The journey that the main two characters took as individuals as well as with one another made for an 'interesting' watch to say the least.

But his ACTIING in Are You Human Too was amazing <3
I can use this for my breaks instead ^^

As someone who always wants the opposite, that just shows how much fun I was having ^^;

Have to keep this on my radar.

It's a heavy series that consistently punches you in the gut without mercy xD
It's the local ratings in Korea that matter more to the show anyway.
