Title The Forbidden Flower Spoiler
Goooosh, I really dislike how much the female lead is obsessed with body and looks. She often talks about looking…
And one more thing, the writer said it clearly about her falling for him at 1st sight.. It's Jerry Yan, who wouldn't fall for him. 🤣
(I have a feeling that the writer wanted to make her teen dreams come true.)

I agree to a certain point. She does have a daddy issue, and she is attracted to him sexually. at the very first. Though her motive was what she felt when she listened to his voice and later her dream, but she WANTED to fall in love, so she was very much aware of his personal qualities and focused on them. A few scenes here and there, some deleted, shown them talking. The editing of the drama is terrible though, it didn't show much communication other than kissing between them.

Person Jerry Yan
Finally, a good photo for him other than the terrible previous one. He is hot.

Not sure about the her death in the snow though. His house was full of her belongings and paintings, more than before, I think she lived for a couple of months. Or may be her mom gave some of her paintings to him after she passed away.

I think that too, she was traveling to marry him not for a treatment, and she died there, later he lived as if she were still alive.
Personally i think the ending scene was his imagination, though, some says that he too died and that was their reunion in the after life, and take that as their happy ending! 🫤

I think they didn't show the real identity of Xiao han if I'm wrong correct me ?
There was nothing special about him, a shy guy who were easily manipulated to feel guilt for the death of his ex, whom he didn't even really love, and used to be in a relationship with just because it's convenient. He is jus a shy introvert, who finds it hard to communicate with others.

It's a dream, everything from the lighting, cinematography, and previous scenes indicates it's a dream, even the song "Lucid dream" synched the lines "Are you just a fantasy or a reality?" with him looking at her with questionable eyes.
In the novel's ending, she died, without him by her side. But the director said that she shot 3 endings scenes. So, the ending is up to our interpretation
1 - She is dead and he lives as if she were still alive with all her belongings there (toothbrush, mug, towel, paintings...etc) in the house. And he keeps the fish and seeing that plant blooms makes him remembers her. So, he imagines her coming back to him.
2 - She is alive. When she was in the airport, she was traveling to USA for treatment not for his hometown for marriage. And he kept waiting for her to come, then she came back at the ending scene.
3 - She is dead, and when he saw the blooming plant, he knows they will come together again, and later he died someway, and the ending scene is about their meeting in the after life.

Personally, i'm more inclined to the logical ending, which is the original one, that she died after they got married and lived a while together. And as the caption of the novel said :
"In that year, she was beautiful, and he was not old; after that year, she was eternally beautiful, and he finally got old."

Can anyone tell me what was the connection between xiao han and mr. Twinkle ( famous painter aka heran's father)…
He bought a cheap copy and hanged it on his wall. She saw it and replaced it later with the original she had inside her house's safe.
Twinkle was her dad.

I can't get over how it ended seriously
I keep coming to the comment section looking for anything that assures the theory of her being treated, but sadly nothing. The novel says it clear and the drama follows the novel.

She is dead, and he lived as if she was still alive and living with him, her towel, her toothbrush, her mug and…
She was so young, repressed and naive. When she was at his village (ep 12) They got married without her knowing that, giving and getting all those gifts from the villagers was accepting her as his wife, and accepting him as a husband. As for him, he is a shy, Introvert guy, who only thought that being with a girl whom he worked with (his ex) is the logic arrangement, who owes nothing to her or her family, yet he paid them everything he has as a compensation for her death, which he is not even responsible for. She is his REAL 1st love, 1st real breath of freshness in his life. So ya, he was also a nive just like her.

How much older is he supposed to be in the drama cause no one even bats an eye at the 20 year age difference.…
I think in the novel he was 17-18 years older.
He is hot and he is visually stunning! So, no one cared about his age after a glimpse on his face and body. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, it's his imagination. That's why the song Lucid dream was in the background with the question " Are you just a fantasy or a reality?" He keeps day-dreaming of her, and since he was in the same place where she 1st asked him to model for her, and also the same place he refused her when he knew she was so young, he saw her coming wearing the same dress she was wearing in the 2 previously mentioned occasions. Same place, same outfit, same flower field.
Before that, he saw the epiphyllum blooms into 2 flowers, remembering their bet about being together if it bloomed, knowing that they will be together again, so that might intrigue his imagination of her.
I said once before, it's a sad ending, yet it was written in a pleasant way that doesn't wrench our hearts.

The ending both real and unrealistic reality. Why how can you ask someone you love not to love someone else when…
Think of it as a confirmation that he will be hers in the after-life. If he loved and married again, then may be he will end up with another woman. She is immature and innocent in way that made her selfish like a little child who can't stand giving her loved ones to others.

Im having my doubts on watching this due to the two break ups, i read on this site about it and i despise break…
It's almost perfect drama, the breakups were necessary. Trust me, you will miss a lot if you don't watch it.

He had a cheap copy of it, but she replaced it sometime later with the original she kept at her house's safe.
No, it was indicated. She asked him from where did he get it, and he answered that he bought it from some cheap place. Later she got the original out of her house's safe. The next day she went to his place carrying a frame stating that she framed his painting. But when her uncle Han flipped the flower painting it was stamped with the hand writing and the signature of her dad, which means that she replaced it sometime earlier.

Regardless, I'm happy and it was a beautiful drama! I would actually pay so much money to see a re-uploaded uncut…
Let's pay together. 🤣
I think it's a dream, the lighting, the outfits, the music, the blurry scene... etc all indicate that it's a dream and he knows that. But that's his get away from reality dream.

In the last episode, I am confused which scene is real and which is imagination. did the girl die?
She is dead, and he lived as if she was still alive and living with him, her towel, her toothbrush, her mug and her paintings are all there the same way she kept them. So he is living waiting for the day he can be with her again, till then he keeps imagining her calling him out again.
