Im sorry, but theres no way this girl is Thai. Watch her in Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat. She looks as caucasian as you can get! Even the character she plays isnt Thai and is supposed to be half Japanese/half Indian. Which is also laughable as she doesnt look like either ethnicity.

How is the ending? Cdramas have made me leery....

It’s eerie just how in sync we both are, it’s like I wrote this article myself! Almost verbatim how you got started in Thai dramas, the Kdrama slump thing, why you will go back-and-forth to Lakorns, cultural and historical appreciation of Thailand theough Lakorns, even watching Love By Chance. Did you come in to my head and steal my thoughts?!?! *suspicious side look* Great first article. The only thing I would add is that I wish Viki, Netflix, and Hulu would add more Lakorn content. Most of the time I find myself desperately searching YouTube and DailyMotion for English subbed videos. And thats a rare find indeed.

Has anyone heard of a sequel “movie”? I saw a three minute trailer on youtube where it looks like G and T go on a vacation. But I cant find anything else online about it

Well I finally got around to watching Tawipob (2011) , because it was so hard to find English subs of it, I was finally able to on DailyMotion. Overall I agree with your assessment of this drama, except for the males leads “crazy love” for our wacky heroine. It seemed to me that often he was quite perturbed by her, and even a bit exasperated. The last few episodes his love seemed to have grown steadfast and deep. It was very romantic. But she definitely fell in love with him first, I feel. It was refreshing to have a mother-in-law love and approve of her future daughter-in-law. It was also nice not to have a scheming second female lead in the mix. I could’ve done without the historical background story. I think the politics played way too much into the drama. As a westerner, I felt like there were quite a few digs and slights against everyone who is “Caucasian”. And the lead heroine should’ve known better because she lived in the future and didn’t have as narrow-minded a viewpoint as her ancestors would have. I think that the stereotypes that were portrayed that all white people are bad and want to distroy other cultures and even find them disgusting was a bit heavy handed. I for one enjoy learning about other cultures, especially Asian cultures. Other than that the drama was pretty good.

I watch Korean, Chinese, Lakorn, Taiwanese, and a little Japanese. I haven’t found a good place for Lakorn though. Viki doesn’t have Thai shows
