Burning questions on that finale! Who is “Lit” and what is his(?) relationship with Jade?! Also, what was the weird vibe when Jade was telling Akin about the role and Akin saying he left the business - all mysterious like?
Watching the show on Viki. The comments from other watchers are really irritating me. People keep asking to sign for season two, and then one person said they already wrote the script for season two. But it doesn’t mention a season two at all on my drama list. Anyone know anything about a season two that is verified?
I was so unsatisfied about her sisters disappearance. What DID happen to her? Was she murdered? Did she get lost and die in the woods? Did she just decide to leave and is still alive somewhere? I wish they had closure for.
The music in the anime was WAY better; very moving and addictive. I expected the same in the drama, but it’s falling flat so far. Hopefully, I will be proven wrong.
It doesn’t even compare to the anime. I’m on episode two and still underwhelmed. The actors do NOT match the characters, and the heart of the anime seems to be missing
First the article recommending Renai Mangaka, and now this jdrama - I’m so excited to start a new one and expand my repertoire. Kdramas have been stale for me lately and I’ve hesitated over Jdramas due to their either depressing and dark themes or the reverse, campy and too silly. I hope this one is as good as Renai Mangaka has proven to be!
I agree It took me 3 tries to watch it because the FL would always piss me off (especially because I was a psych…
I think we may have to respectfully disagree on the diagnosis. LOL I still think it would’ve been more accurate to say that he had DID. My reasoning for that is the character that he would see in his imagination was a fragment of his own self at that age. And he also blacked out when he was the teen. But I don’t disagree that he could’ve also had schizophrenia. Schizophrenia id often paired with other mental disorders and not necessarily the only thing a person has.
I personally love that drama solely because they at least tried to depict mental illnesses other than overly used…
Don’t get me wrong, there were some good aspects to the psychological issues being treated. It was at least more aware than many kdramas. I loved the uniqueness of the characters too. But they did seem to wrap things up a bit too tidily, compared to real like.
Even knowing the depiction is not quite accurate, I still find a weakness for these and other psychological kdramas. For instance, in the drama “Its Ok, Thats Love” (2014) it depicts the main character as having schizophrenia. But not only do I think that was a misdiagnosis, but the character actually had DID, it was also was pretty flippant with how it ended the series basically having him “cured “. And the female love interest was a psychiatrist; Who had her own mental health issues. I have watched the drama several times, and still continue to love it. But the inaccuracies of the mental disorders represented throughout the show still kind of bugs me. I see the writer had good intentions in trying to make people aware of these issues, but definitely could’ve handled the factual aspect of it better.
