As I was watching ep 4, I thought to myself that 12 episodes might not be enough to tell, what I think, is a very interesting story in a very good show.
It wasn’t bad, but lacked something - perhaps too drawn out? I felt the quirkiness was dialled back. Terano needed more oomph, Boss Lady needed more, Bowl Cut was underdone. I liked The Cleaner and Kei was good.
What was an awesome show lost its way in the final 12 episodes as too much needed to be resolved. Very good acting all round though and characters that made you want the best for them.
Sadly, I completed Trolley with reluctance. What started off as a very good introspective on the choices in life framed by one’s past, went from a trolley at full tilt to a train wreck 🤔
I enjoyed the first three episodes very much. There is a good balance between issues re work, family life and financial pressures. Then there are those very funny moments. The leads are superb.
Words alone cannot describe how wonderful this show is. The friendships, camaraderie, gracefulness, beauty, culture and traditions and, the food. It is like a little Bon Bon that once you take a bite, all those amazing flavours hit you 😊😊😊😊😊
After 14 episodes, show continues to be outstanding. There is so much to unpack here. Show is very good at addressing the pressures that the “sandwich generation” are under, the challenge of corporate politics against a changing economy, the pitfalls of family in business and the good and bad in relationships and friendships.
Can we say EOY Top Ten? Big thanks my friend for this tip! Better late than never.
Absolutely is, without a doubt, EOY Top Ten, phl. I’m just so happy you are taking the “Meet Yourself” journey, because there is one thing I can guarantee - when you get to the end you will say to yourself “I need to watch more - is another 40 episodes of this delightful show too much to ask?”
