This drama is one of the highlights for 2020. Eps 17 - 18 were so good. I did find eps 13 - 16 not as strong as the first 12 eps (that’s just me complaining about the bad guys getting away with things all the time), but there were some great moments here and there. I love the scenes on the houseboat, the Princess Consort is played with an even hand and the Shen family are a delight - except for Qing off course!
I was initially skeptical how the age gap would work in the drama without feeling cringey. Fortunately, the cast…
Yes, I agree. She also “stitches” him up beautifully in episodes 25 and 26. The acting is first rate and I look forward to when they are doing things together again. He knows she is getting under his skin :)
End of week 10 - a little disappointed how things went. Best bit: how the track and field team is developing. The worst bit: the misunderstanding between KSH and LEJ (I know they are supposed to be the bad guys, but I want to see them succeed as a couple)
Finally finished. My favourite episode: 8 - Juliet’s temptations. One of the rare shows where the second half is so much better than the first half, and it has a lovely ending :)
That's what I like the most I could careless about anything else all the moments this OTP has are all priceless…
Ep 14 (27-28) took things up a notch by showing, and reminding us, how fabulous they are together. I hope we get to see them in another drama together :)
At the halfway mark! As much as I enjoy this, both Hong Hai and Mo Heng frustrate me. The women are way smarter. The wedding photo scenes were very funny and Ke Ke is running rings around Old Li :)
I hope Pil Jung doesn't give up on her only dream for the kids..
Like Asuna, I don’t believe she will either. The dog is not necessarily a deal breaker though. It was good to see her have some victories this week.
Although KSJ redeemed himself, it’s time he was more honest. I would like them to try something different than the usual “don’t tell her who I am.”
In many ways, our potential pizza shop owners have a better approach to things.
I thought we might see the bed store manager with the uncle by now - hopefully this is the outcome as a result of his interaction with Pil Jung and not as another match up with her as the show seems to be alluding to.
All in all, this show is still better than many other shows out there. I much prefer this to Brilliant Heritage - which is not a bad show, I just got sick of all the relatives.
Eps 3/4 went to a whole new level. I like how they have connected the leads so early on and that they now know who each other are. The final scene and epilogue were fab :)
I enjoyed the first 12 episodes of Fake Princess but I have now decided to drop it after 21 episodes. For me, the story fell away once the Third Princess came on the scene and the Fifth Prince went to the dark side. The acting and the sets are good, but the cute and funny moments have become less and less.
