It is very interesting and well paced. So there is mystery, supernatural items, and a wonderful relationship between an uncle and his little niece. JJH and JSY are also developing a good relationship. As for Kim Kang Woo, he is playing a really good baddie role.

You have two best friends: Eun Ho and Dan-i. Eun Ho has always loved her. It would seem Dan-i doesn’t know this. Eventually, Dan-i gets married and Eun Ho tells her she is beautiful on her wedding day (which she doesn’t seem to hear). She then runs away from the wedding, but Eun Ho brings her back and she gets married. Dan-i then has a daughter but ends up getting divorced many years later and her life then falls apart. Dan-i doesn’t tell Eun Ho about the divorce until 12 months later. During this time she lives a secret life in her old house and tries to find a decent job while supporting her daughter. She finally gets a job where Eun Ho works and then moves into his house :)

I thought ep 8 was wonderful. Like Goldilocks, I thought the little touches here and there and the emotions throughout were just right: The Moon is Beautiful, The Snow is Beautiful - “Genuine, Dedicated Love”.

The first four episodes were terrific. It’s a good blend of the supernatural (ala Wharehouse 13) with prosecution and crime Korean style. Then we have the relationship between Gon and his niece which is special. The cast is great with each of our main leads well matched and it’s good to see all the veterans playing villains.

Here we are at the completion of the halfway point. I thought up until the last ten episodes Gangnam Scandal was quite good. Now that the melo has kicked in, it has become a bit of a mess - the writing that is. The acting’s good and the filming at times is very good. There’s a shot in ep 60 with So Yu overlooking the river that’s fabulous. It needs to get back to the more comedic elements, because when it does, this show really shines due to the fine cast.

This is short, sweet and worth a few minutes of your time. An ideal watch for Christmas or Valantine’s Day

Just the most fabulous show and for me the best Cdrama out there. I could have kept watching more and more. It moves into to my top five shows of any description of any country.

What we do have is, as you say, one beautifully told and rounded out story. I just hope the writers steer away from those self destructive tropes in Kdrama land. This story deserves so much more, because each and every character is interesting, even our fearsome Director Go (she might learn some modern leadership techniques along the way :))

After the completion of ep 71 I think we can see that there is a grand plan at work. The grand plan has to be the reason why the Emperor is ignoring proper process In resolving GTY’s matter. Mind you that’s not a good reason in itself. You should always demonstrate that you followed a proper process to avoid accusations of bias. It’s the one thing that has weakened, for me, the penultimate arc in this great show. The remaining few episodes are going to be jam packed though, and I think most enjoyable :)

Yes, I found myself in the end saying “well, I got this far, I will just keep going”. I think it’s because of some of the cast, having watched them in so many other shows.

Meet Me @ 1006 is very, very good. Leaves most of the other Taiwanese dramas for dead. Iron Ladies was good until the last couple of episodes.

I hope his plan works - because I found ep 69 the first disappointment in this wonderful series. Yes, it’s supposed to be messy etc, but I felt the execution of the episode was way off. Just me being cranky :)

I’m not sure whether I like Sky Castle or not. It is certainly a thought provoking, sad at times, story with great acting. It is clever with its commentary, has some great moments and squeezes every drop it can. It’s one of those shows you just need to watch and make up your own mind.

Episode 5 has a lot going on with some beautiful moments. Eun-ho though, what are you doing? Dan-i continues to be fabulous!!! Overall, a well made show, some fine characterisations and a good, effortless, watch. :)

Yes, I found the final hours of Fates a much more satisfactory watch. I liked how you broke the story down by episodes above. We did deserve better :)

I don’t know what to say in the end. The first half was a wow, stylish, glamorous and intriguing. The second half plunged off the cliff. The scene between Jennie and her mum at the airport towards the end was a really nice touch and I liked the closing moments between our lead pair.

And it’s fabulous :)

Easy going and delightful! Desserts x Stressed!!!

Some Thai Lakorns I found going against the trend are: Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat (Love Destiny) - a wonderful historical drama depicting actual events. Yes, there are some Thai elements, but fascinating, and on a par with Minglan in many respects. Then there is Tai Peek Puksa (Louis Scott is quite funny in this) re the ghost fighter pilot. Currently, I’m finding Nang Rai a very good watch (The ML only has eyes for the FL. It is the FL’s mother though doing the hair pulling re her own daughter). I also thoroughly enjoyed the Crown Princess - quite a classy show.
