Yes, I have to agree the problem is the story and the scenario. I’m getting close to dropping BP. There are some very good moments (JC and his daughter and her storylines) and even clever, off the wall artistic moments (hijacking of the blue car), but they get lost in the more ridiculous elements that the story switches to, especially throughout eps 9-12.

100 Days is a good show. It’s not too heavy and it’s not too light - it’s just right!

Well, it’s a solid start. The two main leads certainly stand out. The Park brothers are real jerks: Chi Woo’s husband who is a real slacker and his brother Kang Sung who is a status hungry lawyer. Wan Seung’s mother gives Chi Woo a hard time, but his mother (the ever delightful Park Joon Geum playing a much stronger role) gives him a swift kick (literally) when he needs it.

The synopsis makes sense once you watch the first few episodes. Although there is nothing new or original as yet in terms of a storyline, both Yoo Jin and Jung Hoon are delightful. It’s also good to see Kim Chang Wan (Wan Seung’s father) play a nice role too.

For me the issue is about how his character has been written and directed. We get some really good glimpses regarding the struggle OJY as a character has in dealing with the real world. However, I find he is not coming across as strong as I would like him to be. Ayre that is the point when he is contrasted against LYJ

I think it’s always interesting how we see characters and actors in dramas differently. It adds a whole new dimension to the impact of a show.

With the first episode, I felt like I was watching a movie. I didn’t want it to stop.

I tried to stick with The Third Charm. Lee Som is fabulous in this show (as she is in others). However, I feel those around her can’t match her performance (apart from the brother). This show has a great theme, it’s just not right for me in terms of its plot and execution. C'est la vie...

Just completed episode 50 and wanted to drop it so many times after episode 42, but I’m going to have keep watching. Se Na is about the most vile villainess in Kdrama land, hammed up beautifully by Soo Ah. Her fall from grace should be spectacular. Hahaha....

Oh well. At the end of episode 12 I found myself underwhelmed and I have decided to drop it. It had potential. I guess I just didn’t appreciate how the story unfolded after episode 4. One element I really did like was the backstory between Tae Soo and his mum (and the mum’s role in general).

Eps 80 - 90 have been quite good. In essence the secondary storylines have matured and are quite interesting, entertaining and funny at times re the different relationships as the main leads settle into an almost idyllic life. The main protagonist tries to keep ruining things around her, but gets thwarted at every step!

The scene on the bus in episode 11 was just a fabulous moment

Regretfully, I have had to drop this one. Aoi is very good. I just found the story lacked heart early on and its a bit too demeaning

Seo Ji Hye is fabulous in this show. However, I’m struggling with the male cast though (apart from the anaesthetist). The ladies are outshining them in this one.

Do you have supernatural powers? This scene was so funny, I almost fell out of bed :)

In my view, it keeps getting better and better. Like you, I can’t see any plot holes. It’s a good old fashioned romp that is entertaining with good storytelling

Terius is a brilliant show. Eps 9&10 are hysterical. They change things up so well in this show.

So at the end of the first quarter of its run, we have a show that has glimpses of brilliance and then elements that make it something else. I’m not a big fan of flashbacks as a rule and we had a huge one during eps 7&8 that filled in all the gaps. I felt it wasn’t necessary. Ji Cheol continues to be a very good, strong and complex character. The storyline with his daughter is fabulous. His wife is also a good character - the storyline re Sun Joo and Min Woo can be taken one of two ways, so I’m going with the positive tack. As for the mystery drug experiments and the characters related to this, it’s not quite gelling for me, but it’s a key part of the story. I’m trying to get off the fence, but I can see the whole Min Woo (yes, he is a jerk of the highest order) thing is going to irritate me as well - so, I hope Ji Cheol gets to knock his block off, but that probably won’t go well either. Fighting!

If what is reported is correct, then Fan Bing Bing is, perhaps, lucky that the matter will be resolved through paying back the tax owed, fines and penalties. Although authorities throughout the world treat tax evasion seriously, that is not necessarily the thought of the average person. Studies have shown that the average person generally puts tax evasion way down the serious crimes list (almost at the bottom).

The issue in all this for me though is the public apology. The style of the apology, the way it is written and how it is announced to the world, appears to be a political and controlling message, as much as anything. Yes, there should be an apology. It’s a matter of what is appropriate. Public figures have that additional level of responsibility, or burden, if you will.

The other disquieting issue in this whole matter was her arrest and subsequent treatment including the bag over her head and lack of communication for three months. In my part of the world, this matter would have been treated very publicly. Not only that, if such an issue had gone to trial, a jury would be used to make a determination on the matter.

I can only imagine how traumatic the whole situation has been for her, her fiancé and her brother. It is not the nicest way to learn from your mistakes. However, she can rise from the ashes so to speak, including dealing with the public shame, but at the end of the day, she will be able to get on with her life. Plenty of other public figures around the world have done so (including resurrecting their careers). It will be interesting to see if her “social credit system” rating will be affected once this is introduced in China.

This show, as Knavery points out, is one of the better things to come out of Hong Kong in rent times. It is a very watchable show. Our lead pair were fanatastic. The cases were interesting , and the focus on good and ethical behaviour was well embedded throughout. We all deserve a second chance :)

A big thumbs up from me. Our leads did a wonderful job in this movie. I found myself totally engrossed in their story. I liked how they grew together in the face of adversity and how they tackled each challenge as it came along.
