Episode 12 was really good, and so sad thought jo seung woo's character this episode would be stronger, was a…
I think it’s interesting re Mr Goo because during his ten years with the Chairman’s family it would seem he has only dealt with situations regarding traditional workplace practices and everyday people. In essence, by keeping the Chairman happy, this has allowed Mr Goo to sell his soul to the devil. He achieves things through using oppressive leadership and management practices. In otherwords, he is in reality, despite being very clever, talented and having a compassionate side, a very weak company president. But only Ms Kang knows how many hits Mr Goo has taken and obviously thinks he is worth sticking with.
Since taking on the restructuring of the hospital this has revealled a situation where Mr Goo is faced with not just one maverick, but many who won’t lay down or roll over. They are clever, and he is not used to this. Despite his early successes and his strategy to keep the outsourced departments, he is genuinely scared. Whether his next strategy regarding firing the Gang of Four is a means to save them will be interesting. So too with facing his fears and doing the right thing. I guess we will have to wait and see!
If you are struggling with Voice 2 re the first three episodes (like I was), stick with it. Episode 4 gets into gear and then episodes 5 and 6 are nothing short of compelling viewing!
So I tried to get into this, as I greatly admire the screenwriter + Jo Seung Wo (Secret Forest was the best thing…
I found it wasn’t until episode 7 that Life finally hit its straps. I nearly gave it away three times until then (episode 2 was brilliant, but the other episodes around it were extremely patchy). The acting is superb. I did question the level of writing early on because it seemed to lack a certain level of awareness regarding leadership, management and medical technology and practices, but those things that were missing now appear to be addressed (perhaps I was being too harsh in my thinking initially). Episode 11 looks like it will be a real game changer.
This drama is one of my favorite, right now. It truly pulls out all the emotions. The story is well paced. The…
To me each episode is like watching an extraordinary novel. This show is amazing in terms of how it can show breathtaking scenery one minute and then focus on the smallest of details the next. It’s exquisite in its portrayal of events, the emotions are very real and the acting, is as you said, superb. There isn’t a thing out of place.
This is one of those dramas you need to have a look at for yourself and then decide whether to watch it or not. I thought the first half of this drama was terrific. It left me with tears of sadness and then tears of joy. However, with the second half I felt they tried too hard and perhaps introduced elements that weren’t really necessary. Do Jin and Jae Yi’s relationship is very special and this is maintained throughout the whole series. Heo Joon Ho’s performance as the psychopath is right up there, we needed to see more of Reporter Park and I thought Do Jin’s mum was wonderful.
It almost has a The Long Kiss Goodnight (Geena Davis) vibe to it - some of Sang Mi’s martial arts skills and the flashbacks of defending herself hint at something other than the red herrings we have seen so far - but I could be totally wrong of course!
Should I watch "Voice" first or can I watch this drama first? Will I miss important parts of the plot? Thank you!
You won’t miss important parts of the plot by not watching Voice first, as Voice 2 is a completely separate story and case. Episodes 1 and 2 have plenty of snippets re what happened in Voice and how the Golden Time Team operates. So far for me re Voice 2, it is not as chilling or suspenseful as Voice, but that could all be about to change.
This show has far and away exceeded my expectations. The counterpoints regarding the storylines and the characters are well done. Not everyone is what they seem and the other side of their personalities have good depth. We finally have an over the top jerk that you can feel some sympathy for in Soo Ho. I like Ji Hyun - stoic but full of life when she puts the sadness aside. Then there is Min Seok who keeps selling his soul and Chae A Who May be more than she seems. Only time will tell where we will end up...
I quite liked Who Wants a Baby? It has a bit of everything including practical tips at the end on raising a baby. So, overall it was good consistent storytelling, good acting and addressed the full range of issues regarding how having a baby (and children in general) impacts on a family, friends and others.
You would think a super intelligent AI like NSIII would’ve figured out a better keeping place for something…
I actually found the premise for the last two episodes to be quite disappointing including the life and death scenario and the very ordinary cliff hangar setting up NSlll. I also found the shareholders meeting and the launch of M-City to be lack lustre in the end. It was all far from convincing. However, the moments re NSlll with So Bong still stacked up.
After four episodes I’m in two minds about Life. It is well made and the acting is very good. I found ep 1 so so, but ep 2 was very compelling, then, eps 3 & 4 didn’t really carry on with the same vigour. A range of interesting subject matter has been introduced along the way, but some of the counter arguments to Seung Hyo’s propositions needed to be much stronger. I guess I will have to watch a few more episodes.
Oh, I do believe both brothers are equally intelligent. Just that one was definitely favored by Mom. The one with…
Yes, the brothers are equally intelligent, and could have been great characters. I have dropped this show for now as I began to feel that things regarding the brothers should have unfolded differently and other elements of the story aren’t meshing quite right after such a promising start. I really like the Mum and Ji Hyun.
