the first ep was alright but idk the female lead is kinda annoying. also why would u just stand there when a whole…
It’s interesting, because in a sense, dramas do get this type of incident right. Having seen a number of rollovers (and experienced one coming towards me) it is like slow motion and you do stop in your tracks because your brain is trying to process and understand what’s going on. The hard part is once you have realised what just happened to then see if everyone is okay.
At the halfway point, I like the fact that 100 Days is a slow burn, romcom. For me, the balance is right re humour, romance and seriousness, and our lead pair are fabulous.
I’m in two minds about BP. There is nothing wrong with the performances: good characters and JH is a natural in the part. It was a hoot to start with, some honesty was explored and then some of the “blame the other person” elements kicked in. It has potential.
A read a synopsis elsewhere that is perhaps a bit more accurate re Soo Yeon and what his back story is and also some of the other characters..
All in all, I thought Where Stars Land had a great start. It delivered on elements that quite a few other dramas of late have failed to do. It has good pace and interactions, heroic elements, mystery, stars in their eyes moments and today “my life isn’t going according to plan” moments. I think the OTP has a lot of potential re I want to live my life quietly which is going to be upended non stop by you know who!
A fabulous article. It was a real pleasure to read such a well written and executed piece. In short, I quite enjoyed TPWY. Personally, I liked Tiffany’s performance overall and I was very impressed with Xiaotong’s role - a stand out. Yes, Vanness Wu was very good and oozed menace when he needed to. As for Lou Jin, I thought he did well, but perhaps I enjoyed his performance more in My Story for You.
Why was the son there in the end though? I was pretty sure the stepfather will stabilize the family..
I took this scene to mean it happens on one of the son’s visits with the double benefit of ending the series with the perfect “post card” picture. It’s a great shot
Overall, I found this quite a good, mild, mystery thriller. That being said, the last episodes were unnecessarily convoluted and a little disturbing. I expected it to be much more clever, however, the final moments consisting of a very cute/sweet ending made up for it!
I watched this show in one sitting. It didn’t quite go how I thought it would, but that’s okay. The story is about true love, but there is a lot of manipulation, obsession, some dark elements and destructive behaviour all contrasted against our hero who sees the best in people.
