This show has started off okay. I’m not sure that the overview is correct though re the characters respective roles.

Is this drama worth checking out?
I think it depends on whether you can put up with some of the unpleasant characterisations and there are some suspend disbelief moments/elements. Normally, I would have dropped it, but I’m at episode 40 (the first few episodes were good, then becomes challenging and evens out after episode 20) and enjoying the Lee In Hye and Alex storyline and some other bits and pieces. It does have a good cast and seems to have solid ratings.

I enjoyed the story and overall concept even though at times our leads did get into trouble time and again. I thought the leads were great and even liked the relationships between the bad guys. There was good acting throughout, some nice touches and a hint of sadness. Dean takes the cake as the crazy bad guy - some of his expressions were priceless!

Our leads were fabulous. Overall it’s not a bad show. However, I found the storylines to be all over the place. The Show’s concept was a good one, but many of the plots seemed to vanish into thin air. There were good characters and ideas throughout, it just lacked cohesiveness.

Episode 12: this has turned into such a nice show. It’s gentle, not pushy escapism. Our leads are starting to open up to one another and the relationships regarding the friends are handled respectfully. Take it one breath at a time.

Title Mr. Sunshine Spoiler
This drama is just visually stunning. But I'm wondering if these effects are to the story's advantage or not.…
Some nice musings. Maybe treat the cinematography as an extension of the characters. There was a wonderful moment where they were going down the river and he splashed her ever so slightly with an oar - it was like a reality check. The scene at the railway station was very powerful and well done. If our hotel owner hadn’t broken the atmosphere at that point, you have to wonder what might have happened next. We are starting to see Yoo Jin realise its not appropriate to behave as an oppressor. Koreans are people too. The Lady Ae Sin is wonderful.

On Are You Human? Jul 17, 2018
There is some very good acting going on in episodes 23-24. Kang Joon has taken things up a notch with his enhanced portrayal of human Nam Shin (an on point reminder of how much of a jerk he can be) and the interactions between NSIII and So Bong are delightful (in fact very human). The character I am liking more and more though is David - it’s a very natural portrayal by Deok Moon.

Title Mr. Sunshine
Epic in its scope, grand in its design and breathtaking in its storytelling. Dive in and enjoy every moment.

At the conclusion of episode 15 my thoughts are that Long Time No See is quite well done. Duo Dou and He He are very good characters as are He He’s parents and the other protagonists in this show. The story is developing at a nice pace and there are moments of joy, anguish, affection and self discovery.

A remarkable and thought provoking show. I found it became very much like the jigsaw of life – a tapestry if you will of the uneven and broken pieces each character experiences that somehow come together to complete the canvas.

TFHML is so well written, filmed and acted. I liked that you saw detailed insights into the characters and their hierarchy of needs. Even the most minor character is well fleshed out. This show could not be done with different actors, I’m convinced of that. The awards it has received are well deserved.

Title Marry Me Now? Spoiler
I can't imagine how Moon Sik and Hyun Ha become a couple, especially now with new boss.
I think the new boss is probably a bit of a phoney and Moon Sik will save the day!

Episodes 27 and 28 are not for the faint hearted, but all of a sudden this drama is not only back on track but has ratcheted up a notch! Dr Psycho might be in for a pleasant surprise. Full steam ahead

This is one of those stories you have to watch and make up your own mind on whether to like it or not. It is beautifully filmed. There is very good acting going on and there are some wonderful characters aka Sky Lord and Sword Saint. Then there is Sa Mo and Jin Ju. For me the older love story between Sword Saint and Ga Ok resonated very strongly. The younger romantic elements - hmmm. The palace politics - very ordinary. The writing itself - strong initially, then flip flops and runs out of steam. The theme of friendship is a very strong element. I’m sure many will appreciate Baek Dong Su and Yeo Un and their friendship as a mirror of Sword Saint and Sky Lord i.e. the philosophy of make your own destiny vs believing in adhering to your fate (not escaping your destiny or what others tell you). If you have the time, take a look.

On Your House Helper Jul 6, 2018
The first four episodes set the scene quite well in the end, and there is a lot going on (almost too much). I like the premise so far - healthy house/healthy life etc. Ji Woon is not too prickly (compared to some of Suk Jin’s other roles - lol) and I think Da Yeong’s character is a nice touch - someone with potential just bogged down by life (as it would seem with her other future housemates). Ji Woon is clearly “a man for all seasons”. Your House Helper might just rise above some other shows at there at the moment.
