@Steph_M Was she a product of her circumstances like it appears in the drama or was she just a bad person? Like did her maternal family think women are just breeding stock and they also did not educate women and she was forced to marry the ML? Or was she inherently just a bad person?

Can someone tell me how is the character of Xing Tang in the novel and is her story the same as the drama?

I am talking about Xing Tang the legal wife. Her family did not educate the women implying their only value is marrying into other families and giving heirs. Then she was married off to someone she didnt want to get married to. And now she is discovering what absolute garbage of a man she ruined her life for.

My girl was just born to the wrong parents and born in the wrong era! I genuinely feel bad for her...

How was the team getting paid?

Can you give me the gist of the novel? I read the last few episodes and it feels like it was a rebirth story in the novel?

I literally had bile build up in my throat listening to Yue Yang talk! I want to puke... What a complete piece of sh!t!!!

This is a classic example of what happens when you choose the wrong partner!

Why are they making her suck a jerk in the drama? I dont understand. She is confident and independant in the novel, but she isnt a jerk about it.

Also why make her look so dumb? Also whats with the silly reason to ground her from the board? You wanted her to wake a pilot up who had just fainted (no matter if it was just a harmless fainting spell) to land the plane in bad weather? Its not like his brain is going to be 100% right away to do such crucial maneuvers right after he wakes up. Are their heads stuffed with cotton?

Another completely unnecessary breakup! Can we please stop breaking up for completely fixable reasons?

It wasnt the focus of the drama but a major reason why her business went under.

I honestly find it offensive to erase the collective trauma we all went through as humans. I know it’s probably censorship but it’s like closing your eyes hoping day turns into night.

It’s so funny how they wont mention COVID by name. Is it that much of a taboo?

First you decided I couldn’t separate an actress from her character. When I clarified that I liked the character, you decided I must be incapable of appreciating subtle acting. Apparently, the only explanation you’ll entertain is that anyone who disagrees with you doesn’t understand what they’re watching.

I understand understated acting. My criticism is that her performance didn’t communicate enough emotional variation to make the character convincing. Calling it “microexpressions” doesn’t answer that criticism. Which scenes? Which changes? You’ve offered plenty of certainty and no specific examples.

“Just because it isn’t your cup of tea doesn’t mean it’s poor” works both ways: your enjoyment doesn’t establish its quality either. You’re entitled to find her nuanced. You’re not entitled to invent my viewing preferences so you can lecture me about them.

I am so glad I am not the only one who thinks her acting is sh!t. And mind you this isnt the only drama of her that she has received this criticism, most of her dramas, the supporting actresses easily outshine her coz she is that bad.
