ma ri and good doctor escape kang in wook after he accidentally shoots ma ri when aiming at doctor and shoots…
I find the ending very open if I'm honest. I didn't see the last scene as an after surgery scene. Mari comments on the flower and she goes "your mother told me the meaning the other day" Mari was told ages ago so I find that scene to either be a flashback or dream.
In episode 4 when they were doing the better looking test between Woo Shik and Seo Jun. Who would have voted for Woo Shik because I would have. I was staring at Seo Jun going "Really....not my type but I guess some people might like him".
"but that's only because of his past." would you say the same for serial killers who had a bad past? Let me remind people that not everybody who has had a bad past turns into him, okay. Please don't bring the PAST into it. He is a grown man who should know right from wrong!! I honestly feel like I'm talking to fans of Lee Hyuk from The Last Empress again it's so funny it hurts. "I just hope he lives happy" do you really think he deserves that? How old are you? Because I would like to think somebody of a reasonable age wouldn't come out with this crap about a psychopathic abuser :') If you're below the age of 13..actually make that 15... then I think this drama is too adult for you.
Funniest scene for me so far has to be the scene with Junki (of course) and he's filming a Historical scene and he needs the toilet! I couldn't stop howling!!
I watched this series from day 1 and I enjoyed it immensely but it did however leave a very bitter taste in my mouth by the end with how they handled CJHs departure due to scheduling issues. I felt some anamosity between the writer and his character as she wrote his end terribly and I'll never forgive her for that. It would have had a higher rating but that alone dropped it quite a bit.
Only watched the first episode for now but I didn't rush to put the second one on... that was 3 days ago. However after seeing your article I may just play episode 2 :3
seo kang hee has been executed, why kang eun ran hasn't?
We don't know that she was executed yet. She just wasn't in the scene during the court yard scene and Ari's scene wasn't like seeing a Ghost. It was just Ari imagining her mother because being in the palace probably made her think of her. Normally people on death row are in prison for a long time before they get executed.
In some ways I liked the finale episode but overall I was very disappointed. I think if I didn't start this drama thinking there was a romance between Wang Shik and Sunny I wouldn't have been mad but that was not the case. I feel like the writer changed ships quite quickly and disregarded that storyline. There were scenes to believe they could have been something but the writer probably following the popularity of the Sunny and Lee Hyuk ship decided to play to their advantages. I think that's what makes the romance in this show awkward. The writer didn't have her mind made up from the start and it made things messy.
The lack of emotion for Wang Shik was disgusting. He was a crucial part of the story and many admired him and Sunny was one of them. He did so much for her and he expected nothing in return and I guess that's what he got. He loved her silently and she couldn't even share a few tears for him. It was BAD WRITING! The Sunny we knew who was close with Wang Shik would have cried for him, visited his grave and had a few memories but we got nothing. The moment she had that flashback of Lee Hyuk it was as if Wang Shik was gone from her mind and she was focused on Lee Hyuk. If she had a quarter of the emotions she felt for Lee Hyuk's passing for Wang Shik then I wouldn't be sitting here with a bitter taste in my mouth.
Now I know Lee Hyuk redeemed for his actions but in my eyes and hopefully others it wasn't enough. They made it look like he died a hero.... a hero?? This man discarded of a woman's body like it was nothing, he pushed his pregnant wife in the pond and left her to die, he framed and ordered a hit on Sunny, ordered Na Wang Shik to be killed and locked up Kang Joo Seung's character for 7 years in a mental institution. 7 YEARS AND HE DIED LIKE A HERO! With the heroine of the story crying by his side, remembering their moments. It was BAD WRITING AND FAVOURITISM. Also what makes it bad writing is how Sunny didn't even tell the Empress Dowager that it was her son and not Wang Shik but she just stood there quiet and then got mad after the Empress Dowager shot her son 5 times. BAD WRITING.
The best part of the finale was seeing the Empress Dowager after being arrested as she was hilarious and the sweet moment of Kang Joo Seung with his new family.
Watching episode 49-50 and I'm wondering if the writer has completely forgot who Lee Hyuk is. She's making him out to be this sweetheart who deserves Sunny's love.
I'm sorry but despite SSR adorable and impressive acting I just can't fall for it. I've seen too much bad from Lee Hyuk to even think of him that way. He's not right in the head and his mind is warped. It was only 2-3 episodes ago when he was forcing himself on Sunny and went completely berserk. I feel like that never happened anymore. The whole 'outing' scene was uncomfortable. The writer pulling out all of the stops to ship them was quite sickening. I know this is just a drama but can we please not forget that he ordered Sunny to die. If this was real life and a real story would the general public really want them to reconcile? Absolutely not and anybody who did then they need to get checked out because their idea of a good relationship is completely and utterly warped. The whole accidental kiss and then the car scene... Please don't tell me Sunny is going to give him another chance because if she does then she's not the woman I thought she was and it would be a bit sudden. She's expressed her hatred for him and there hasn't been scenes to show she's doubting her hatred so I honestly hope the writing goes smoothly where there won't be room for her to even consider taking him back.
I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about the last two episodes after hearing the news about CJH. I guess the fact that his last scene didn't feel like a final scene so I'm really wondering what they've done with his character. Did he die off scene? Most likely.
I watched the preview for the next episode and I know previews can be very misleading but I didn't ask for a rom/com between Sunny and the psychotic Emperor. I expected a rom/com between Sunny and her bodyguard as that was one of the things that drew me in straight away and I feel like I've been robbed of that.
Bearing in mind what Lee Hyuk has done in the last few episodes it just feels weird to see those scenes in the preview and it makes me quite reluctant to continue. However I don't just watch the show for the romance so I'll watch the last two episodes and hopefully they don't leave me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
Due to the Lunar New Year holiday, Ep.43-44 will air on Thursday
Eugh, there have been so many scheduling problems these past few months with a quite a lot of dramas. I guess I can let this one go since it's not to do with sports.
Your not the only one...just 10 episodes left and the empresss hasnt had a glimse of real romance much less kisses...…
I know she has feelings for him as there have been a few scenes to back up this statement (not verbally but more in her body language and actions) but this week I felt like the main romance was between Lee Hyuk and Sunny despite her hatred and her using him. I honestly feel like the writer is just riding on the popularity of these two despite them not being a viable ship because of who he is and her feelings etc.
I do admit he can be adorable and if he wasn't psychotic I would probably end up shipping them as well because despite being team woo bin! I can still see the chemistry between the other two. However his past actions and even some of his current actions make me feel sick and he is actually sick. When I think about it I actually like their scenes together because she is using him and the way she does it is hilarious as it's so easy.
However when it comes down to the romance for me it's Sunny with Woo Bin/Wang Shik. He treats her so well and he doesn't force his feelings on her. He literally sits on the sidelines with his feelings because he knows they have bigger fish to fry and because he is living on limited time. He respects her and the dance/dinner scene says it all.
I honestly can't see Lee Hyuk ending up with Sunny because he's not going to get off scott free as he has committed serious crimes. Several attempts of murder and abduction with Kang Joo Seung. Also I highly doubt Sunny is going to regain any of the feelings she had for him in the past. She is a strong woman and if the writer pulled something like that then she is seriously discrediting Sunny's character. I also don't think Sunny's love for Lee Hyuk was pure, true feelings as she was literally his fan girl and I think her 'love' stemmed from that.
