Serenity05 When Nakhun and Phatsa were being shot at by Tim and his gang, the scene switched to Ongsa and Sangnuea having a boring argument. The editors should have stayed where the action was. I lost interest, and my mind wandered until I remembered, "Oh, yeah! Nakhun and Phatsa were in the midst of a gun fight. I wonder how that's going." Folk Jakrin Sangruan (Sangnuea) seems like one of the better actors. Although he plays a villain, his timing and pacing was more natural. Everyone else in that scene just seemed so wooden.

We see more about Pavinee. Her story just breaks my heart. Sunny and Kongkiat are in way over their heads with Songphon. They are tricking new recruits to deliver them into his hands where he sexually assaults and beats them. Songphon even told Sunny to prove himself by killing one of the guys he just assaulted. Now Songphon wants him to deliver Sun and Sky. This episode was really dark. I'll probably skip it when I rewatch the series.

The only thing halfway good about this show is the storyline, but it's so full of holes because of the way it was edited. And god it's slow. I watch it at 1.25 most of the time, and when it's really slow I speed it up to 2.0. At least Nakhun respected Phatsa's request for no sex. Yay! On the other hand, I don't even know why it's necessary. As a pure omega, can't he control Nakhun?

Okay, so Nakhun told Phatsa he's most likely pregnant. Phatsa: What! How could this even be possible?! I'm a man!" And Phatsa thought being an Omega only meant he was bonded. Well, luckily he finds out he's not pregnant, and he's so happy. But now Nakhun has his heart set on a baby. Phatsa is thinking "HeLL no! We ain't having sex any more!"

Wu Yue, Yao Zhidi, and Yang Moli jump through hoops to investigate Yue'e's death. They don't make much progress until Wu Yue puts her skills to use once more. Wu Yue is pretty sharp. She's a Sherlock Holmes, but she knows that if she pointed out all the clues, the police would just brush her off. Instead, she "channels" Yue'e's ghost to describe the events that led to her death.

The father and neighbors come to rescue Yue'e, but they are too late. This is only the second show I've seen Wang Hao Xuan in. In both shows he played a character with a sick mind. The first half of this episode is pretty disgusting.

Qin Zhiyuan suddenly proposes marriage to Zhang Yue'e. She's so happy because she's been in love with him since he rescued her. But her father disapproves because Qin Zhiyuan is sickly. He threatens to disown her if she goes through with the marriage. The wedding takes place that night, but there's an unexpected turn of events.

I really like this show, but the dialogue is so fast that I've had to slow it down to .75. The translation sometimes seems wrong, so I have my translate app on standby. Sometimes the translation is pretty close, so there could also be a culture gap. In this episode they were talking about the Liuhe Association ( I think it's some kind of cult focused on immortality) and how Granny was supposed to pass her role on to Wu Yue. I'm not sure if Wu Yue picked up her mantle, but I think she did.

This episode really shows the corruption of the Republican era. Watching a competent woman being sidelined is frustrating but that's how it was during that time.

Wu Yue's scam reading for Ma Yan Mei in the first episode proved to be true, but was the root of all the trouble. On to the next crime. But what's this?! Oh, Ji Wen Xuan! What kind of psychopath are you!

We get to see Wu Yue use her medium skills to get a confession. I have to say all of the main actors in this episode did a good job.

Another death, and this time the chief wants the case closed right away. Even though there is evidence he didn't do it, Man Dali has been forced into a confession as a serial killer and refuses to recant because the chief promised 500 silver for his wife. It's so sad, I cried. I thought this was going to be a light drama, but it's not. Anyway, the unfairness of it all brings the women together to investigate on their own.

For some unknown reason, the supervisor closed the case but Wu Yue won't let that stop her. She has now enlisted Ji Wen Xuan's help in the investigation. I just realized that Mrs. Zheng is Wu Yue's client from the first episode whose reading said her husband was murdered in a fire.

Wu Yue is adorable using her innocent face and tricks to snoop around and feed clues back to Yao Zhi Di. Mrs. Zheng seems very suspicious and the outcome of the case feels a little predictable, but I'll wait to see how it turns out before passing judgement.
