Yes, they are brothers. Riley’s character supposes to be the SML but the drama may not closely follow the novel and anime so he becomes the support role. Now you mention that they look alike and I do agree 🙂

Sorry that I can’t give you an advice because I only watched the anime. Don’t you like watching anime? Gong Jun’s character style in Word Of Honor somehow resembles the ML in the anime so much that I really wished he played the ML in the live action.

In the anime of season 1, Eigetsu (Top 1 scholar) and Kourin (a servant) have feelings for each other but the story doesn’t focus much on the romantic part and they are just support roles. I don’t know if the drama will change that.

Glad to see you here! 🙂 Did you watch the anime? It’s one of my most favorites. I used to wish to see a live action in which Li Ying Tong is the FL and Gong Jun is the ML. Although half of my dream comes true, I’m happy enough with this live action and the cast.
This drama is surprisingly good! The plots are very interesting, no dragging, and are different from other dramas that I have watched. Can’t wait to watch episode 5.
