Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
It's Stockholm Syndrome with extra steps, so the plot already isn't good.
Yes, emotional abuse on the part of the FL and her family.

The show *started* with the ML broken due to the FL and her family. Anything it might do now to try and redeem the FL would just come off as poor rationalisation after the fact (for example, some people are commenting that she protected the ML from her brother, which to me just comes off as hypocritical, seeing how much worse she herself treats the ML, which the brother himself said after she beat him, and felt more as "don't play with my toy" rather than "don't hurt my husband").

We haven't heard his side, we've seen it. It isn't like he's telling someone how badly he's been treated and distorting the truth, the show, well, showed us.

If the leads were gender-swapped, everyone would (rightfully) be up in arms about how abusive the man is, rather than try to rationalise and defend him.

Stockholm Syndrome, or victim falling for their abuser, appears to be where the plot is heading, which I don't consider good.

Thanks to PotPlayer and its ability to skip to next subtitle line, I didn't miss any dialogue ;).

I thought it will be light drama. But I think if it will be quite heavy in the later episode. And I just think…
Nah, it's definitely gonna be light, judging by how light-heartedly the show treated ML's abuse by the FL and her family, as well as his reaction to the FL's terminal diagnosis.

I didn't see this as a fault of the ML, but rather the FL and her family, in a *just how hard did they break him for him to feel relief upon learning his wife is dying and he'll finally be free of them* sort of way.

I'm sure the show will blame the tumor for all her shitty behaviour regarding the ML, but it's too little, too late already in episode 2. Her and her family straight-up broke him, there's no excusing that.

For there to be even a slight chance of her redemption, she'd have to cut her entire family off completely (which will never happen in a Korean show) and then spend the next decade trying to get the ML to forgive and forget (which is no way for a relationship to work).

I assume that they'll blame it all on the tumor making her treat the ML like shit, and the ML will do as he appears to have always done in the past 3 years, just accept it with no comment.

I'm really struggling to get past 30 mins of the 2nd episode. I was really looking forward to the series because…
You made it farther than I did, I already started fast-forwarding in episode 1.
The ML is utterly pathetic (not because he's happy she's dying (I would be as well in his situation), but for just accepting everyone's treatment of him), the FL's entire family are a bunch of abusive assholes, and the FL is straight-up psychotic.
I can't watch this garbage anymore, especially because I'm fairly certain the show will end with the leads together, her magically cured, and her family magically becoming not-assholes. I'm sure they'll also attribute her asinine treatment of the ML to the tumor, so once she's cured all will be well and magically forgotten.

Fuck that. I might come back once the show is over if it ends with her dying after the ML divorces her and takes everything he can get from her, and it turning out that her prior behaviour was all her and her recent affection for the ML was due to the tumor. But it won't.

Korean shows seem to be averse to catharsis and retribution, especially against those with power, and this show will sadly only be more of the same.

Yes.

Nothing, it's just stretching out the plot with tropes and the idiot ball.

I do, I blame the writer a lot.

Also, it's not your job to bring evidence to the police (that's just another Hollywood trope to rationalise not going to the police when it's always the most reasonable and rational thing to do), you just report and they investigate and find the evidence.
Just think about it, if you hear gunshots and call the police, do you then have to provide them with the gun, the shooter, and/or the victim? Of course not.

There have been a few complaints about the arrival of the white truck of doom (WTOD), and even more about the…
It's not WTOD, it's truck-kun. And the FL and the guy are dead and have been reincarnated into a new world of swords and magic as heroes, where the guy will assemble a harem of (waaay too) young girls, including the FL, wearing armour that puts game armour to shame in how much skin it shows, and save the world from the Demon Lord.

At least it would if this show were Japanese ;).

Though, that garbage might actually be better than this pile of steaming turds of a show, where it keeps intentionally getting in its own way. It has an excellent main cast where both couples look good together, but the writing, the plot (the antagonist just randomly decided to spike the ML's drink for no reason other than to provide a reason for the ML to suspect him), the elementary school-level forced cuteness between the main couple, and the in-your-face foreshadowing are just dragging down to shit-tier.

This sounds kinda bland and boring, honestly. A wealthy, naïve wife and a smart, maltreated husband. It's basically every rich/poor couple story, just gender-swapped.
I'll give it a shot because of Kwak Dong Yeon, but I won't hold my breath.

Title Queen of Divorce Spoiler
It's...just...so...bad. Everything about it is terrible, even the acting is lacklustre.
The person who okayed this is an idiot. A romcom where the main plot involves kidnapping, rape, spousal abuse, the lead going to prison for something she didn't commit,..., virtually every crime a person can commit, and to top it off, the characters are...just...so...retarded.
I could only stomach it to the middle of episode 4, where the FL got grabbed of the street and neither of the leads bothered to contact the police, and it's just too much.

On The Witch: Part 2. The Other One Feb 21, 2024
Just rewatched the two films for the first time since 2 came out, and I have some remarks that I didn't take note of the first time:

-First, this a brilliant example of a female-focused series done right, and puts virtually all modern Hollywood attempts to shame. There's no "she's just a woman, what can she possibly do" asinine tropes, no fanservice bodysuits, no random denigration of either gender,... The characters are just themselves, their gender only mattering if required by the plot.
It's what I imagine how an egalitarian society would be like (minus the blood and gore, of course;)).

-The writers fucked up the first film's lead character by having her be so apathetic to her sister's grief when losing the only people she cared about. Her caring about her friend and parents is what humanised her in the first film and kept her from being just a psychotic killer, yet here she is now, when her sister is going through the loss of what anyone (especially a super-smart superhuman) can easily see is an analogue to her own family, and not giving any fucks whatsoever.

-The worldbuilding is great, and I'd love to see more of that universe with its megacorps and their superhuman soldiers, as well as the factions within.

-It desperately needs a Part 3. There are just too many unanswered questions.

If the breakup was so early, I can only assume they won't get back together until the last two episodes, making the next 6 episodes a pain to watch.

it's not that he does not like them, but rather he resents Ko Mi Ja for choosing to dive that day, which ended…
"blaming others or directly accusing them of killing someone for a coincidence" is exactly what commonly happens in real life.
Let's say for example, that you want to do something risky, and your best friend doesn't want to let you do it alone, so they go with you. That risk results in your best friend's death. Would you feel responsible? I believe most people would answer yes. And it's a small leap from that to said best friend's loved ones blinded by grief holding you responsible as well.

I never said it was right or just or deserved, just that it's normal human behaviour.

As for him having still not gotten over her death, that's easily explainable by it being a small town. He would see the FL's mother pretty much every day, and be constantly reminded of it, causing his anger and grief to fester.
If he or her had moved out of town, I'd agree with you, but coming from a small countryside village myself, I know grudges, even minor ones, easily last decades.
