it's not that he does not like them, but rather he resents Ko Mi Ja for choosing to dive that day, which ended…
So far, I've gotta say that the ML's father is the only normal person in the show. From his perspective (losing his wife because the FL's mother wanted to dive despite being told not to), I can totally understand his behaviour of wanting nothing to do with the FL's family, and barely holding himself back from burning their house down.
Of course, this is predicated that the flashback was of when the ML's mother died and not just a red herring.
"The way the father is acting you would think the mother held her under water till she drowned."He's ignoring…
This is bog-standard behaviour in a family feud. Ever heard of Romeo and Juliet? It's not exactly a little-known concept, especially in small communities.
And he doesn't go out of his way to make them uncomfortable. He just ignores them and/or walks away. As for food, no one, and I mean no one, would willingly take food from their enemy unless they were starving, and even then some wouldn't. You're projecting because you like the FL's family and dislike the ML's father, so you paint everything he does as an insult.
"The way the father is acting you would think the mother held her under water till she drowned."He's ignoring…
Well, we don't know yet what exactly happened, so everything is an assumption, including calling his behaviour unreasonable, pathetic, jarring,... For all we know, she murdered her (obviously not as this is a romcom, but it's possible).
I'm going to go against the grain and say this drama is kinda boring. Sorry. I actually find the sisters stories…
The younger sister's story definitely (it has everything; a single mother, dead father, adorable child who sees and understands what people say about her mother, the new love interest who connects with the daughter before meeting the mother,... it, by itself, would make for a better sad-beginning-happy-ending romcom than this show), but the older sister's story is just a bad sitcom without the canned laughter (a strong, independent woman who takes shit from no one dealing with a goofy ex-husband and evil upper-class in-laws with not a single braincell between them...), in my opinion.
I really don’t like people who deal with grief by turning vindictive and unnecessarily blaming the people around…
"The way the father is acting you would think the mother held her under water till she drowned."
He's ignoring the mother and her family and wants nothing to do with them. That's it. You make it sound like he's standing outside her window every night carrying an axe.
ML dad is so pathetic, stop making people miserable around u. It’s understandable why he feeling like that but…
The FL's mother was either in charge of the divers when the ML's mother died, or, as the two buoys with nearly identical names foreshadowed, was possibly the cause of rescuers mistakenly searching for her at the wrong location, leading to her death (which would also explain why the ML keeps wrapping the FL's mother's buoy in a floral pattern, to make it easily discernible from others), or both. The FL's mother giving the ML's father the basin of seafood also implies she feels some guilt over her death, whether deserved or not.
So, if that's the case, the ML's father is anything but pathetic. From his perspective, in one day, he would've lost his wife and his best friends would've become his worst enemies, meaning he'd have so support system. That sort of stuff breaks people.
Of course, as this is a romcom, it will obviously turn out to have all been some terrible misunderstanding and the parents will make up, and the leads will end up together with the ML's father's blessing. Which is a shame in my opinion, because it would be interesting to see my above-written theory, with the ML finally deciding to get over the FL, her possibly hooking up with the Lambo guy or moving back to Seoul after clearing her name, and the ML hooking up with a hitherto unseen female character.
Give me one Korean drama where the lead demon is strong/absoulte from episode 1 till end episode. If there were…
Loved him in Goblin, then Touch Your Heart, and finally Tale of the Nine Tailed, but I must say that the plot, story, writing, pacing,..., in short everything but the acting in Tale of the Nine Tailed, was utter garbage.
The characters had absolutely zero sense of self-preservation and behaved like all the bad shit that happened was forgotten the instant the scene ended.
This show was garbage for anyone even remotely interested in coherent storytelling. No two ways about it. There were multiple retcons: -the ML's meatsuit reviving from both a heart attack and getting shish-kebabed -the ML magically going from wanting to kill the FL over the last 1500 years in the first 12 episodes, to wanting to keep her safe over the last 1500 years in the final 2 ... -and in the end, they either retconned the entire show with the whole "it was all just a dream" schtick, or tried to asspull the absolute worst pity fan-service happy ending I've ever seen by ending the show with a "what if" scenario that wasn't possible anyways, because the fantasy diverged from the show's reality *after* the FL killed the ML's father, causing him to still keep killing her before reaching age 30 (which is another rant altogether), meaning that even in fantasy world, they'd get no happy ending. They should've just ripped the band aid off and given the FL her life, and the ML his death and be done with it.
In which case, I don't know who's worse; the one pining for a woman who dumped him close to a decade ago, or the…
It was an exaggeration to make a point, that both characters behaved poorly. Her dating other people while still in love with her ex is unfair to them.
The reason why Sam Dal is dating around and trying to move on is because in her pov, Yong Pil dumped her. So she’s…
In which case, I don't know who's worse; the one pining for a woman who dumped him close to a decade ago, or the one who, despite still having feelings for her ex, dated other people?
Or in other words, what's worse, being pathetic or being a hypocrite?
I hope i dont have to cope with bang eun joo the entire drama...i cant stand her...i just need karma to slap her…
You will have to, at least up until the last few episodes, because she's the only reason the FL is staying on the island. If she's out of the picture, the FL will return to Seoul (which will, I assume, trigger the ML confessing his feelings for her, which I only see happening close to, or at, the end of the show).
I agree that Yong Pil’s dad might have something to do with their break up but I don’t think the parents send…
My guess is the ML's dad sent the text and the ML neither saw the text nor heard the FL outside his house, and the light in his room was either his dad's doing or a misdirect (ML left it on by accident or forgot to turn it off or something).
As for why his dad did it, I'm guessing he saw how the ML was after the FL dumped him, or because he thinks her mom is responsible for the ML's mother's death, or a combination of both.
Another possibility is that it was the Lambo guy because he has a crush on the FL, though I think that's unlikely.
It couldn't be more romantic!!! Him putting that stole over her, he literally took a flight to seoul and attended…
Romantic... or stalking. Depends on perspective. Would you be swept off your feet if your ex of 8 years suddenly showed up while you're in crisis, indicating he's been keeping tabs on you?
And then add the confusing flashbacks of both breaking up with each other at different places using the same words.…
I'm guessing she dumped him first, then wanted to get back together and he dumped/rejected her. It's the only way any of it makes any sort of sense whatsoever.
Yup. Would be nice if it turns out he's actually just an innocent good guy, but I seriously doubt it. Non-ML good guys are pretty much guaranteed antagonists nowadays, otherwise they'd outshine the ML, and Korean romcoms can't have that, just like they can't have non-quirky, well-adjusted female friends of the FL.
this season they focused primarily on the stadium where the survivors are and they was all acting scared and everything…
Yeah. Soooo much runtime was wasted on the stadium shelter, both the civilians and the soldiers.
I mean, who gives a fuck that the shelter's civilian leader is hiding a monster in the basement when there are monsters literally everywhere? Or about the soldier-boy with the crush on the FL? Or that, surprise surprise, people would hide that they're infected?
I watched the entire season in a single sitting, and after, it felt like I got around 2 hours-worth of worthwhile content, with the rest just being filler or padding.
So Joo Cheon Seok caused the accident that killed Do Hee’s parents? Is Joo Seok Hoon against Do Hee as regards…
"And I can’t believe the ratings went down so quick from 8.7 to 8.2" I haven't rated the show myself yet, but the biggest difference between episodes 1 and 2 is the power transfer shit and how the ML now acts like an idiot because of it, so my guess would be that people (myself included) disliked that and rated accordingly.
