I have literally been saying this shit in every comment sections. People have started shifting to c dramas bcuz…
I dipped my toes into Cdrama for this exact reason (and because Korean romcoms usually take shit way too far by making the leads into gods (if a Korean lead is a businessman, they're the greatest, bestest, most businessiest businessman to ever come out of Korea, if they're an actor, they're the greatest, most popular actor Korea's ever seen,...)), and discovered the pearl that is You Are My Glory.
It is hands down the best romcom I've ever seen, despite the blatant, in-your-face mobile game and CNSA advertising, and while much of the credit goes to the leads, a lot of it is also because there's no angsty/tragic/drama bullshit. It's just a nice fluffy story about two people falling in love and building a life together.
It's just my theory, because the show ended with literally nothing getting resolved. The leads didn't talk about their past/job or how they kept it from each other, the random gutshot to the aforementioned Taegu, the big bad, the 2nd biggest bad who ran to Thailand, what happened with the ML's boss,..., hell, even the grandfather's relationship didn't get any closure.
As I wrote in another comment: "It fells like they're either fishing hard for a sequel, or they had 16 episodes written and when it got cut down to 12, they just ended the show there with no changes to the script. Either way, it's like the show ended right as the final arc was about to begin."
I honestly don't think the drama has given us any clues to the real killer. I think every "clue" is actually a…
There's definitely a ton of red herrings. One could even argue there's too many. One thing I'm almost certain of though, is that the writer is involved somehow. Whether she has knowledge of the future (maybe her future self came back to tell her stuff), she's the puppeteer controlling the murderer(s), or she's the actual murderer (along with that druggie the ML pulled from the cliff in episode 1), she's portrayed as acting way too suspiciously to be reasonably innocent. (Like seriously, a dude throws a hat into the trash, who would think anything of it other than someone who knows something they shouldn't?)
I just hope the show doesn't do something stupid like introduce the real murderer in the last couple of episodes, making this entire whodunnit a scam.
Dafuq was up with the ending? -The big bad got away without even being known, much less dealt with -The 2nd biggest bad got away scot-free -The bad-but-not-really got taken out
It fells like they're either fishing hard for a sequel, or they had 16 episodes written and when it got cut down to 12, they just ended the show there with no changes to the script. Either way, it's like the show ended right as the final arc was about to begin.
I got Healer flashbacks after watching it. That show also ended with such a completely unresolved plot.
One of my favorite webtoons. Tell me why im more excited to the chowon and doyoon story to come to life then Jie…
Best guess, it's because in general, there's much less drama for the second couple. The lead couple always has some ridiculously dumb tropes occur, while the second couple is just a normal couple, free of jerking around. That, and the second leads are nowhere near as neurotic as the main leads.
"What is most interesting about the drama is the fact that this could actually happen to our planet"It couldn't…
It's you who needs to study. The Chicxulub crater, where the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs hit, is only around 200 kilometres wide. For something to actually sink the continents, it would have to shatter the Earth's mantle, so it would have to be moon-sized, and nothing can survive that.
I really enjoyed this show. I watched the whole drama in 1 night. What is most interesting about the drama is…
"What is most interesting about the drama is the fact that this could actually happen to our planet" It couldn't though. It's impossible for a comet to cause continents to "sink into the sea" but then leave Korea (it would either cause localised damage, or end life on Earth), and for unbreathable air to be breathable with just a mask. And if you could survive outdoors by wearing said mask, then you could just make a bigger mask and put it on a house/building/a plastic bubble over a city/..., problem solved.
The show has nothing realistic about it. Unless you were talking about something generic like class struggle or something.
What do you mean wait for a 1000 years? I don't recall it being said anywhere in the show that the ML would return…
I found out what the 1k years thing was about. Apparently the story this show was based on had a couple of extra chapters (5, IIRC), in which the ML comes back after said length of time. Someone in the Discussions section for this show has translated those chapters and you can read them there for a happy ending.
I mean, after what TTJ went through and doing that 500 years thingy, it kinda serves LSS right to wait for him…
What do you mean wait for a 1000 years? I don't recall it being said anywhere in the show that the ML would return in a millennium. I don't even know what that rainbow space he was in at the end was supposed to be. Was that a remnant of him stuck in that scale or something?
Thats the point. He loved her too much and she loved him not enough. And yes he will always deserve better
True, the ML got the shit end of the shitstick hard.
Still, the worst part about this show by far were the ridiculous misunderstandings. Everyone just jumped to the first conclusion they came up with and stuck to it. FFS, the FL had to literally become a god to be able to figure out the ML's obvious self-sacrificing plan.
Just rewatching this show (obviously for the FL, as she's doing like 98% of the heavy lifting (the other 2% by the ML, everything and everyone else is a detriment to the show, but I digress)), and in E3 I saw the thing that, by far, annoys me more than anything else in the entire show; the freaking door gap in the FL's home. Like seriously, that bitch can be measured in freaking centimetres.
Region-or-country-locked, and phone app only, so, even if you are in the right location, you can't even watch…
What bitching? I was also "using this space to help people", by telling them that the site you mentioned is region-locked, and that even if one is lucky enough to live in a non-blocked region, the episodes (aside from the first two) are only available via their app. Also, "rich"? What would possibly make you think that I'm rich? And you're welcome.
Xiao Zhan has dubbed his own voice, I don't know what you are talking about. Dramas can't use the on-set audio,…
"Dramas can't use the on-set audio, they need clean and crisp voice without background noise, echo, reverb, etc," In Western film/TV, they can, and do, use location audio whenever possible, because it's cheaper and it sounds more authentic.
"hence all the series in the world are dubbed" No, they're not. It's an added cost, so it's only used when necessary (bad location audio, dialogue changes,...).

Everything in this show is a misconception.
