Disappointment romantic drama
This drama should change its title to sword and friendship or family but not beloved. There is no romance at all between the leads their never even in scenes together that much towards the end. They focused more the 2 and third couples romantic relationship. The actoring was great from the whole cast though. If you watched love in the pavilion yes i would say its interesting sequel to see the main leads kid as adult. Other than that sad ending 😔. But if your into to romance dramas like me dont watch it again there is no romance with the leads. I only recommend watch love in pavilion than watch this one. Masterpiece drama
Omg one of best dramas every episode i was never boring i didnt even care that main leads didnt kiss til episode 29 thats how good the storyline is seeing strong female characters was everything. Im sad that wei lang and fan died that hurt. But im happy liu yu ning character lived this time cause im still upset about his ending in story of a pearl girl. Song zu er and liu yu ning had such good chemistry i hope they do another drama together in the future. I def plan i watching this drama many times again.Was this review helpful to you?

Good storyline.
Turns out there six couples since the son of li family is alive and well had sweet storyline. was cute. I liked all the couples story expect the 5th sister marrige i get its just drama their just acting the actress is 17 a minor having her being romantic with 27 grown man its inappropriate and uncomfortable to watch which is why skipped certain episodes. If anyone feels the same way I do wants skip that couple the 5th couple story starts at episode 29 the last two episodes you dont see them as much together can especially fast forward thejr . In my opinin they should casted a ml the same age as 5th fl would been cute. I have to say the 4th couple storyline is my fav i love haode her strong personality and bravery and strength never backed down. Would watch this drama again maybe.Was this review helpful to you?

Great all around storyline
Just finished today omg who ever casted these two leads together def deserves some praise they fit love when its strong fl and strong ml the characters felt like a strong mature relationship and parentship standing together as one and their chemistry was everything. As for the second fl her story was strong dealing with abusive marriage and so full of hatred misses out on someone who actually loves her and losing her child it broke my heart i was glad in the end she put her focus on helping her people and the country . Lin qin i love seeing her as warrior in dramas. Even there is alot darkness besides light in this drama i def watch it again and recommend to check out.Was this review helpful to you?

Just finished def good women empowerment and struggle story. I was disappointed on the lack of romance im huge fan of the leads from go go squid. I was hoping there be more mature passionate love scenes than in their last drama. But I loved how the ml respected the fl not trying to be hero but equal partner. I def would recommend to watch. If you wanna see some romantic scenes with the two leads watch go go squid. Im def happy there will be part 2 of this drama so hopefully more romanceWas this review helpful to you?

Def rewatch drama
Loved the storyline that it was both dark and comedic at the same time. Love a good strong female lead. The father and daughter scenes had me laughing. Loved how supportive her father was in choices. And the ml im fan of his dramas. The two leads had such good chemistry my favorite thing of relationship was their acceptance of each others good and sides. Loved all the beautiful colors of the costumes. Im glad the couple had a happy ending that she stayed and instead going back to the real world like most other dramas with similar stories end. Family drama not alot romance
If you like stories about family this def a drama for you. The family dynamic was great. However this drama did not have enough romance for me i disappointed im fan of two leads thought they had good chemistry should have more screen time together. Most beautiful love story
This such a beautiful love story the chemistry with these leads despite their age difference the actress is in her 20s and ml is in his 40s is steaming and touching all the same time. The ending is hard to interpret it seems that she died from cancer but in the flower field after the credits you see them together i thing it just a fantasy even though part me hopes its reality. This only drama that has sad 😔 ending that ill re-watch again and again 😢 i highly recommend giving this drama a chance the story is everything.Was this review helpful to you?

One of my fav modern dramas
This drama has healed my trauma from the drama one and only seeing the leads get they happy ending that didn't get in the last drama is so good. The story just kept getting better every episode usually Im not into slow burn romances but seeing their love grow every episode was worth ive watched this drama twice in the last 3 days and currently watching it for a third. Def watch one and only first even though its sad ending it will make this drama and love story more understandable and beautiful.Was this review helpful to you?

In my top 2 fav historical drama for 2025
Omg my advice do not listen to reviews its mostly ding fans who were mad he not was upfront but i loved his wei yun green flag engery omg the way he respected and loved chu yu was everything i think they had such great chemistry their fighting scenes with spears together as one loved i. Fan of Victoria song this is the first historical drama ive seen her in he did not disappoint chu yu character is in my top fav female generals. This had such a strong female cast honestly the whole cast was everything. The only character i didnt like wss emperor of sui trying everything to keep the main leads apart he was just jealous and paranoid of two military families coming together. I disappoint i wanted two more episodes for a weddings of all the couples. I def recommend this drama all of the episodes were never boring this my top 2 fav historical dramas 2025 next to prisoner of beauty.
