Big is just super handsome, hence nice to look at, but it's a weird character and acting is a bit questionable too, just because that is a role that doesn't give any room for good acting. Two scenes he delivered greatly were the confession in a frame at an art exhibition and when he caught Diew reading sex article and reacted as "what did you say" it was realistic and well played in my opinion. I don't mean NC scene itself but a short dialogue he delivered before.
And same - the only character I relate to is a Turtle.

Is "Content Rating: 18+ Restricted (violence & profanity)" because of turtle abuse? It looks like it wants to escape in the first half of the series and then I swear I can see it screaming "just kill me" through that glass box. Never thought turtles are such animated creatures. Otherwise it's super boring unlikely nonsensical couple that has zero overlap in interests and nothing in common at all, so realistically they would never be even in one friend group, let alone dating omg. As an extravert I can tell you if someone invited me to assemble a puzzle together as a date... I would jump from that balcony. Dew looks like a very autistic person and needs special help adapting. Not that the bullying or his mother's disappointing attitude are okay, no it's not okay, but a hot popular drummer being into that is unrealistic. Not that BLs are supposed to be realistic or relatable, but it should be entertaining and I am not entertained by this one. Barely finished on x2 speed. I hate writing bad reviews, but I feel I suffered so much I deserve a little rant. Worse than plot is only this annoying soundtrack which will haunt me forever.
The second couple of 2 friends who slept together in one huge bed is just as nonsensical but somehow at least the premise of someone afraid to begin a relationship because they are afraid to loose friendship, makes sense. That is almost relatable. The rest is meh. The series were so boring it cured my jetlag insomnia of 2 weeks, so thank you for that.

Very good story as the idea, has a major plot twist in the end, but it should be shorter and better structured. As it is it is a bit on the boring side. They show so much fluff in the beginning, promoting consent and healthy relationships - wonderful, then they touch upon shipping and internet bullying, abuse, unhealthy fans and fan service - yes, amazing. Covid theme seems like another lifetime at this point so I dunno, maybe it's a bit too late for that? Unrequited love for your straigt and then gay best friend - great topic again. Friend groups and support - amazing. But they add so many unnecessary scenes with attempt at humor, someone working, studying and discussing shipping, etc. And then it spirals down the hill with stalking and actual gang bang rape plan - omg! I feel like it is a plot I would gladly watch in a mafia sort of setting, about criminals and all, not all the university fluff of 3 long episodes. Also no NC scenes between main characters is a bummer. I feel the series have so much potential, but focuses on the wrong things for a very long time. Like that bouquet in the last episode - I legit waited it is going to explode or have a snake in, or at least some nasty card - they showed it for such a long time in so many scenes. And nothing. Same with a few characters who don't really matter for the plot but have unnecessarily long dialogues. The whole series should be cut in half and restructured to make it more dynamic, then it wouldbe so much better. It feels like a student work in a way. But it's still not bad at all. I love the actors, they do their best and they are all so cute.
And well I don't know who needs to hear this, but I have my eyes on Hearth since love Syndrome, he is absolutely mesmerizing as a bad guy, which even these series prove - he lights up as a strong character when he threatens someone on screen, and then this last ending scene where he acts as a bad guy. Piercings and all - look at him. Someone please cast him as an evil dominant bad guy, he's so hot in this role! I could watch whole series just for him threatening other guys 😅

Okay yes largely I agree, but absolutely every BL series have characters that need therapy and literally none is getting it, so.

Oh okay, makes sense.

It totally seems like they have never slept together, just secretary witnesses all of boss's "appointments", and it will be their first kiss. It would make total sense if secretary is one-sidedly in love with boss, it hurts him, he decides to quit. Boss overhears this and decides to stop him by tying secretary to him by starting an affair. But what was that scene then? I think it could be foreshadowing - something that is yet to happen in the future, or someone's erotic fantasy. But who's? Boss's or secretary's?

It would make sense if they fell in love, slept together, boss continued having other affairs, secretary couldn't take it and decided to quit, boss realized he doesn't want to loose secretary, so he stops cheating and makes it up for secretary. The way they did it is like secretary is jealous and can't take it anymore. Let's see what they will do next in the series.

I can't be wrong with my personal opinion. If you think differently, it's fine, you are not me, we are not alike and will never be, and I am happy with this diversity))

I definitely rate Step by step higher, but if boss and babe is 5 out of 10, step by step is 6 or 6,5 tops. So calm down they are both bad. But if I should suffer once again, I would prefer less suffering with step by step.

I really enjoyed Jun and Jun and Oh my Assistant movie. Check out isn't great, but it was interesting to watch for me )

Okay, I really liked the first episode! It was a little confusing - so have boss already slept with the secretary or it is about to happen? Timeline could be clearer. And I feel Boss should be older at first, but then they explained they started this company together, so it makes sense. Already I see a lot of love triangles and concentrated emotional drama, so I am sold. Hope further episodes won't disappoint.

Boss and Babe is the worst office theme in my opinion.

Beautiful, great aesthetic sex scenes, well shot, well played, well written, has a twist, but sort of slow paced and somethingis really missing. Normally I don't mind, sometimes series are a mood, but I never really tuned into this one. Underwhelming unrealistically happy ending. Probably because it's Bible, I expected the same novelty and surprise KinnPorsche brought and that's impossible to get anymore, I dunno. I enjoyed, but it will not become my favorite series.
Bas and Fuaiz are absolute shining stars for me here, I hope to see them in another series together somewhere.

I fully agree with you, I find flaws in many shows I like, sometimes they are just there on the nose and you can not ignore it, but Kidnap only had one episode so far and I can tell you what I can pick up on is the similarity of the beginning premise with My Stand-in. With main character being a stand-in for an arrogant actor nobody likes, having a debt over medical bills for a sick relative, and ready for anything to get the money. We can discuss how sweater thing is unrealistic, but it was funny, so why? It's fiction. It has a bit of clichés too (including the sweater, the medical bills debt, the mafia rookies, etc) but most series do. To make something completely unique is nearly impossible. Plus almost every series I watched this year have these or those clichés. The one I grew instantly resentful to is when one character is clumsy and trips and falls for 3 full minutes, which is enough for another to catch them, and then they stare at each other for 5 more minutes, the falling one always being in disbelief and having an open mouth, the caching one is also in disbelief because they are falling in love from the first sight. The one who catches always tops later. Maybe Kidnap will have it too? I positively decided that I am taking a star out of my rating of each show for this 😁
That being said, the "low quality production" is not a realistic flaw of Kidnap show, so no one denying this argument is a blind fan.
