What was historical about this Chinese James Bond parody I don't know. Actors are actually all good, but the story is a clichéd disaster, most of the things don't make any sense and the costume designer did it dirty. And I have most questions about Main Lead's eyebrows - wtf is that makeup? And updo?? Although his costume, 100% not historical, is actually pretty and suit him. And the modern Russian song by Zemfira on the old Chinese ball??? I would not recommend watching this to anyone.
What a wonderful slice of life drama! It's unrushed and mature. Every scene, dialogue and interaction make sense. Every character is here for the benefit of another - they conflict, they love, they grieve, they support, they make peace, they get thought and grow together. What I love most about it is that by the end of the story everyone is healed, they are on a higher elevated level of themselves, but it's not a fairytale. No one won lottery or magically got some money, woke up famous - no deus ex machina elements - they weren't rich and they haven't become rich, but they move on, they live and love, and forgive, and that is the beauty of life - a soulful living. We all do mistakes and we all do our best, that's what makes these series so relatable. No filler dialogues, wonderful rhythmical storytelling - that's how you make a really good cinema! And so many social problems touched as well. I can't believe I missed these series as it aired!
I also don't understand the ratings, because with all my love for Gong Yoo it's a boring dragging story of rich…
None of the themes you mentioned were explored or even established as a problem in the series. Try and compare the mental health issues of a stalker and non-feasance of law enforcement between The trunk and Baby Raindeer. This is just but one example of how to introduce a certain trait in a character doesn't whatsoever mean exploration of the topic. Like it's just there. Yes there are crazy people, no you can't do anything about it. Yes you can hire someone to kill them, then... what then? Just as unresolved as any other issue you mentioned.
Was it just me or did it feel like a weaker Because This Is My First Life or Private Lives, with the whole fake…
I didn't watch the series you mentioned, to me it reminded Hollywood movie "The marriage story". Not the plot wise, the plot is different completely, but the whole rich people suffering to find themselves in a marriage and establishing who hurt whom, and who used who. Exactly same boring unrelatable vibe.
All my eternal undying love for Gong Yoo, but that was boring AF. I have severe insomnia and even at x2 speed these series put me to sleep. Not the success I was hoping for. 3 years of no projects and now this? I also feel terribly underwhelmed about the horror element that was advertised and isn't there at all. The thriller is also not thrilling. Just boring rich people with no jobs problems.
Shout-out to whomever made the chandelier cgi - that was art! A crystal flower turning into an eye... wow. That's the only thing I loved about the movie.
How in 🤦🏽♀️😵💫🤕🥴 the world does one even understand this 8/10 rating?Ufff 🤣🤣🤣🤣…
I also don't understand the ratings, because with all my love for Gong Yoo it's a boring dragging story of rich infantiles who have nothing better to do with their lives but revel in superficial unnecessary drama. 6 out of 10 tops.
At last it's now complete! 6th episode sub is on subscene and link for raw added on my blog.My blog:https://www.tumblr.com/bluedisksubs/705630796195692544/210623-a-year-end-medley-extended-version?source=shareAnd…
Sorry, links don't work unfortunately. On your Tumblr downloads work but they are only low quality video in Korean, no subs ((
I don't wanna be mean but that was haphazard all over the place and not great. This season completely ruined interest in TinCan relationship because Can looks like a completely appealing idiot and it gives a hella pedo vibes with his childish behavior. Meh. I wish they either dropped their story on a heartbreak note of last season or continued it instead of poor rewriting.
I know it's early to judge by just one first episode, but already I loved it so much!!! Such a happy summery feel-good series, they give me life. Entering New Years with a such a good vibe! Keep up the good work, I am already a fan 🥰
I really don't think they understand the meaning of "misogynist".
Exactly - there wasn't the concept of misogyny which is wrong, because a whole societal norm was misogynistic. So why pointing this out in Joseon period?
