I have to wait for at least 10 episodes? When does it get better? I am already struggling with these convoluted situations that bring them together via their respective jobs. I cannot imagine a hospital sending their doctors to an emergency site away from the hospital in their hospital uniforms instead of a paramedic team in specialised gear who are trained specifically for on-site accidents and emergencies. Also she keeps asking him why he saved her... lady, that's his job! What do you want him to do??!
This said nothing nor explored nothing. It was more like an opening sequence to a larger story. I wonder if the director/ producers just labelled it a lgbtq+ movie and sold it to GagaOolala to get some views? I've seen better unspoken messages/looks between characters from just as short shows if not shorter. I had more questions about why no one was concerned about this kid being neglected than anything else. I don't think it was directed well either as a lot of the time I was just wondering what the motivations were from anyone on screen and I didn't want to waste energy filling in the gaps myself.
Can someone who their brain didn't decide to go on a rollercoaster hiking trip on sandals while watching this…
I can only guess that the writers wanted to connect the two stories somehow and be a bit artsy about it so the girl is the friend that introduce Hayden and Archie at the bar and she's telling her boyfriend about their relationship as it seems they are also facing relationship problems as she is being set up to be married or something. I didn't pay too much attention to what they were talking about and their scenes didn't last too long anyway.
Anytime a couple is forced to be apart for a long time because another person, usually a woman or parent who inserts…
I do wonder how someone after so long is still like this and clinging on for dear life? There is no way he would be giving her the attention she needs. We know from her youth she is a horrible person but one would have hoped she would realise this is not what she wanted but she wants to die on this hill. I find it unbelievable there are people like this but then I remember all the reddit stories I have read and it becomes very realistic. I feel sorry for the kid.
This is a Hong Kong drama, not from mainland China ~
Yep. I was thinking the whole time what would happen if/ when China controls HK fully. Would these shows get banned/ destroyed? Will the actors face repercussions ? I hope this is not the case but who knows under the CCP?
There're reviews here that say they didn't understand how both the stories are connected. There're no connection…
Wasn't it that they were connected by the girl telling the story. In the bar the two protagonists of the two relationships meet briefly. Archie then goes to get a drink and meets Kelvin and Hayden complains to the girlfriend about his ex and then heads home drunk. The girl is telling her boyfriend about her two friends and their relationships. I get its was a way to tell two stories but not sure if it was that necessary. But if people are asking then maybe they need a thin connection?
I felt I watched 16hours of drama in 3 hours. Its amazing what sharp conscise writing can do in a short period of time. It really puts drama that have much more episodes to tell a story to shame when they lose pacing. I am watching a CDrama with 32 episodes that I am skipping through most episodes because nothing really happens in those 45mins and feels like a waste of time. This short drama didn't feel at all like there was too much crammed in at all and still delivered everything it needed to in under 3 hours without losing pace, plot or tone and was entertaining throughout. Really well done.
I started enjoying it a bit more after halfway through the series because Jade toned down a bit. I do wonder, seeing as this type of "comedy" is not popular internationally, if this is something Thai viewers enjoy watching - the over the top reactions because I've seen it on other shows but usually from minor/side characters. But it really only came from one person here and seemed mostly unnecessary. I have to say there was one scene that I cried with Jade but also the scene was well done so it contributed to the feelings that Jade expressed at the dining table. That kid has potential. I really hope they give him something to really sink his teeth into one day and none of these silly over the top "comedic" characters.
Well for one, this this is a Thai show with Thai actors. A lot of countries have some type of national service especially in Asia, some countries in European continent etc. A quick google will tell you how the Thai NS works.
I wonder if my experience would have been better with better subtitles. Nonetheless it was pretty standard fair.…
I still don't understand why the hell Ai (who apprently has had a crush on Songkhram for so long) out of the blue decided he had to avoid him and didn't want to see him anymore. That was so random just for a bit of drama and a make up scene. But really didn't deliver on the emotions because it was just shoved in there for no real reason.
I wonder if my experience would have been better with better subtitles. Nonetheless it was pretty standard fair. Lots of jumping around/ skipped story lines but because it was so basic, you can pretty much tell what the conversations would have been had they showed them. The main couple kisses were a bit weird like they were out of sync with each other. But no denying they tried their best to act close. All in all all the couples were cute but there wasn't too much too this either. Like they tried to be Bad Buddy, but cheaply.
Regarding part 1 and part 2: This has all the tropes in the book including repetition but I enjoyed it. I think you can turn this into a drinking game too. Take a shot every time they say "3 days"! I didn't really feel connected emotionally to any characters or relationships they tried to build because you can see how things are gonna turn out quite clearly. No real surprises here. Nothing overly complicated. But an entertaining ride nonetheless. It's a shame we didn't get more tail action in this. I guess the CGI would have been too expensive.
They tried to do too much in too little time and thus didn't have the energy and poignancy of the series. But they hit some key points of the manga but also missed so much more of the feeling. The manga deffo hits all the spots. I'm awaiting the arrival of volume 9 which should be release any day now.
This was not bad. Healthy relationship, just a little tropey but well done. Dragged a bit in places and only one point in the very beginning was so absurd aka the blood donation stupidity but everything else was well done so it makes it crazy they went in that direction to make a certain point. Very well written female and male leads. Very good messages throughout. Excellent child actor.
