Silly question How does Chi Cheng know that Jiang won't be able to walk once Guo Cheng taps dat ass? Does he have…
oh boy. If you read the novel, this show would be 1/10th of the info. These two guys are insane and have no boundaries. They aren't shy about anything and are super confident.

Viki subs are a bit hit and miss.
Yeah but Viki tends to be generally okay but for this drama the subbers are missing all the nuances.

For instance, why did they translate WSW's name to Fearless?!! That wasn't the point! I wonder if other platforms did the same? I have never seen WSW translated to fearless in ANY drama. It should have been "It doesn't matter" or "it's not important". It's the whole point of changing his name and a point of comedic situations as well as shows WSW's quirky diva personality that makes him hard for CC to ignore.

I dunno folks, I'm on ep 4 and getting a bit disappointed as a fan of the novel and first series version. There are so many "Easter eggs" that this series doesn't explain or changed slightly that feels so random if you don't know the book and they are hilarious in the book but not coming across on TV. They watered down WSW and CC characters so much. The characters of these two are what I loved about this story the most. They are both INSANE and diva's in their own style! I am going to try my best to adapt so I can enjoy the rest of it.

It's a blessing and a curse to have read the novel 100 times.

Title Secret Love Spoiler
Dad believed he caused An's parents' death. He was so guilty inheriting the Qin family's business so he swore…
What I didn't get is why would he inherit the Qi business as he is a Gu and the conversation with his wife and him is that they both built the company together.

its because the main character doesnt know actual korean, he was just speaking thai the entire series
For all the Thai Korean collabs they do it is always like this so I personally am used to it so it didn't bother me. At least in this one they had translation devices to explain some of it away.

Title Why R U?
This was like spot all the different BL drama scenes/plots you can or maybe I've watched too many lol. But the chemistry of both the primary and secondary characters where hot. I was partial to the second couple though. But I found both chasing love interest had adorable pouts when they wanted attention from their boo.

Because of covid and difficulty filming Thai Why R U, I completely forget Nat and Max where in it... I was wondering what the link was with Cutie Pie. LOL. It would have been great to see their storyline in Why R U fleshed out more. Alas.

Title Come to Me
I love this pair together but this drama kept getting ridiculous. The girl is a teen but she's not just a secret…
Yeah lol! I love it. Kept wondering what else they were going to add on. I think they tried to explain her "genius" is because of this "mutated gene". Like she is some X-man.

Title 4Minutes Spoiler
Just finished the show in a single go and I really enjoyed it! If Triage and DFF had a child, it would exactly…
True, but on the other hand, you could also argue that getting straight to the point was a device to emphasise the brevity of 4 minutes. Each person who had 4 minutes had to relive everything so quickly. A sense of urgency almost. But also, it could be just that they had time and money constraints. LOL But not a dull moment was shot.

Title 4Minutes Spoiler
Neither tag would fit.
I didn't feel at any point either of them hated each other at any point. When Tyme found out about Great's involvement he was mad and confused but ultimately, he also loved him. They were never enemies to begin with, just some secrets were exposed later but by then their connection was already set.

This was so well made all around. Top acting, top cinematics and effects, top story and progression. I could tell most plot twists, but enjoyed the journey nonetheless. That very last scene had me holding my breath too. Also impressed with the detail like in the last scene you can see the scars from the operation. They didn't have to do it. I don't think anyone would have noticed it lacking. But they did anyway!

They told a lot of story in just 8 episodes. Not a dull moment and pointless moment like many other series, especially American ones.

Just wondering now if Jeff's song is now Be OnCloud's anthem or what. LOL. I loved the arrangement they did for this one too though.

These tags are not present but would you agree that this is an Enemies to Lovers plot? How about First Love?
Neither tag would fit.

Title Attacking Lady Spoiler
Acting was not bad, one of the few chinese FLs who talked like a normal woman instead of a 5 year old.But she…
There's a lot of rules in Asian society and her husband did get called out by his brother for not standing up for her at that meeting. She has a lot of pride but also the writing was all over the place with her character. The drama is called attacking lady, but she did none of the attacking - leaving it to the husband to do it all so that she had no toughness to her to fight for what she wants despite a strong start. Also I think they were trying to imply that the fake Jinse was whispering in the mother's ear that she was a gold digger and manipulative while her son was telling her that his mother isn't usually like that so they can later have an excuse why she is nice to her again and not make it seem like it was because she is rich again.
The biggest issue I had is that neither father seemed to have particular attachments to the children they raised. Maybe I can excuse Jinse's adopted father a bit as he knew all along, but Jinse's real father didn't know that fake Jinse was not his and raised her as his own but none of that was addressed. I know they are short of time but they could have given up some trope story lines to cover the emotional baggage of all these people.

Title My Stand-In
This was really good (despite the character flaws, I think it was refreshing though that every one was not perfect and never claimed to be. Not sure the Guru was really needed but whatever, no harm either. ) - well put together and acted all around. Really snazzy loft apartment there too. One question/ observation/ criticism.... what was with those pigeons!?!

On Boys Be Brave! Jul 14, 2024
The acting was really top notch. A simple story that unfolds slowly. Had to get used to the back and forth in time exposition scenes, I don't think I managed it, only they slowed down. They did a lot in a short time. Also I like the twist in the narrative. There's no secret love, just boys becoming brave.

Also, I kept thinking that Balgeum was the dog from Choco Milk Shake but it must be the hair or something. It is not.

Never seen a cuter actress than this Girl Tan song yun.She was outstanding in GO AHEAD, my Papa loves her so much.…
I do love everything Seven Tan is in. She can do serious and comedy and she can come off mature and playful, ladylike and tomboyish, but always plays a character that has inner strength that transcends all difficulties and I love that about the roles she plays. Never the victim or damsel in distress. I want to start this but Im going on a trek for two weeks so not sure....have to wait til Im back.

Title Eye Love You
Yeah, the OTT acting keeps me from watching most J-dramas, cept for BLs.
I can't remember because I like it now. It wasn't the worst I've seen anyhow. It started off typical girl whose whole world revolves around a crush she happened upon one random day but it develops in to personal growth and a passion for her job and respect for herself that transcends her love interest - all while still going through all the usual tropes but has a lot of fun doing it. I have watched lots of Kdramas as well that start off really over the top slapstick but then mellows down; case and point: She was Pretty- I hated the first few episodes. It was so difficult to watch, then it got into the swing of things and it wasn't too bad. Still not my favourite but its now a classic nostalgic drama. The older stuff need a bit of time to get into. Japan is still really obsessed with its Manga artistic styles. Me pet peeve with jDrama is mostly the hair and general weirdness which I don't find in the smaller independent productions thus I too don't go out of my way unless it has one of the few actors I like mainly from Cherry Magic lol.
