Just like 5 mins in and thats a continuity error if I ever did see one. Bun saw the watch on Tan first before seeing it on Peud and that was before Peud went missing so its weird for him to think that Tan stole the watch after killing Peud....

Also why would Tan be sending people and beating up people to look for Peud when he knows he's safe and can contact him? ....

Ah I didn't realise there will be a second season. Usually these type of independent things don't continue. I guess times are changing as more and more dramas are doing the season thing. I don't mind so much if they follow the books and wrap it up nicely. What I don't like is like western tv shows take a book, add lots of stuff to it and drag it out for 10 years. I hope Asian shows don't become like that.

They haven't even touched on the solving of the mother's disappearance in in the episode summary and there are only 2 eps left? How is that gonna resolve with such short episodes?

The revisions to the TV show made for a lot of fun and more interesting judging by your break down of your list. I thought this show would annoy me but its so simple, pokes fun at itself and doesn't take itself seriously. Pretty easy going light hearted watch. They even get some issues in there with homophobia and parental influence. They made Ton such a naive airhead his homophobic ranting don't carry that much weight because what he parrots from him father is not the same as his actions so its not so concerning because you can see the battle going in inside his heart. It's gonna all come together nicely and comedically next week I am sure as they all do. This show has been an unexpected hoot. The trick is to not take it too seriously or have high expectations.
I just came from TharnType which made so much changes to the book for the worse! I am grateful for this piece of hot mess every week!

Love this break down. It is basically this. I came this far so will see it to the end. I read the book a while back so I will just rewrite it in my head so it all makes sense again. (Not that it made that much more sense in the book but still better than this)

Such a weak plot point really. An incredibly spoilt brat with too much time on his hands and apparently, daddy issues. Such a weak reason for him to go for Type just to get Leo. The writers are really clutching at straws now. Very messy as time goes on.

I would have liked more techno but he has hardly been in it at all and he is the best friend! TechnoKla would have been awesome because of the history over the 7 years between Type and Kla and the dynamic between No and Kla, but alas they didn't cast Kla or do any of that storyline.

It's kinda of hilarious that the two couples people seem to like the most are two that were not even in the book to begin with.
Cir/Phu are taking the place of NoKla and TarTum.

I think Doc Champ are the best thing about this series.

There was so much questionable decisions and casting in this series though. Remember the kpop idol wanna be and the nosey neighbour?? Seriously? Why? They weren't in the book and the don't make sense at all in the series and hardly any screen time (thank goodness)!

Basically the tv show doesn't do justice to the character motivations in the book at all. The book wasn't that great to begin with, but it was clearer and more put together than the TV show.

It all makes much more sense in the book. But marginally because I really don't understand why Type would do the same thing that Lhong did to Tar! I really don't understand how 7 years later and a victim himself, would organise a rape. It still boggle my mind. Of all the revenge you can do to someone, why she write THAT type of illegal revenge.

I had a HUGE sigh of relief when it was just threaten to re-injure his leg, but then after when No said Type is all about Eye for an Eye... I am sure it's not the end of it. He might just cause heartbreak for the kid somehow. Then again they made Fiat so pitiful I don't know if they would do it to the viewers.

In the book Type is actually really really awful to Fiat to the point he really should go to jail for organising stuff to Fiat just like Lhong organised stuff to Tar. I hated that kind of storyline in book 1 and I hated it in book 2 but apparently Mame has a fetish. But also Fiat was a really disgusting person and really didn't have such a "pitiful" backstory nor a P'Leo. (tv version is such a spoilt brat. Book version was a bit psycho).
The whole motivations of each of their characters and the relationship breakdown really was not represented well in the TV show. It wasn't that great in the book either, but it was pretty awful in the tv series but I could see this was going to be a problem from episode one. The jump from sweethearts to warring couple was too big in this episode. The TV show resolved every little spat they had so it looked like their relationship was solid and stable and then just to throw a spanner like this didn't make sense. But in the book those little spats were building up gradually and the underlying issue caused by Type's reluctance to be open about their relationship and wanting to move it forward, put a severe strain on their relationship and was not being resolved and Tharn's motivations and state of mind makes sense when it culminated in this scene (barely but by then they had a huge fight before he went away to work so he was already feeling super insecure so I kinda get it). Type was also not feeling appreciated for his efforts to Tharn or lack of acknowledgement. Tharn knew about Fiat a bit more in the book than in the TV series and there were existing issues before this scene. Even Type understood what he did wrong in the end. But the TV series doesn't seem to be make those points so its a confusing mess. Not even a hot mess, just a mess.

Also Cir and Phu are supposed to be No and Kla which would also have made much more sense and brought some humour and interest to the show. Cir and Phu are such dry characters. Phu also took Tar's place. This couple was not a great addition even though they are fluffy and cute.... but maybe not for this show. I also didn't realise it was Cir in that bar scene! LOL That was a shock and then it dawned on me what the directors/ writers had done to my precious KlaNo.
They barely mention Kla in the beginning eps and then he wasn't mentioned at all and forgotten about completely.

Adding Doc and Champ though was a great idea! Love those two. Hope they do a little more with them before the end.

People who haven't read the book: OMG THAT PHONE CALL IS SCARY!! How can anything resolve in 2 episodes?!
People who have read the book: meh.

Because then you'd have an entertaining couple and that whole bar scene and afterwards would have been funny and cute to watch with a sprinkling of spice. Instead of that bland Cir and Phu. They are both too straight shooting to have agreed to do something like that. But No has stronger motivations and Kla has even stronger motivations to No.

I wonder why they didn't cast Kengkla for No? It would have made more sense than Cir and Phu.

I Just remembered what they did to Fiat in the book so I am happy they brought the Leo character in because I dunno why Mame like rape so much. It was disgusting in the first series and its disgusting in the second book. I really hope they took it out of the TV series!

I can see why everyone is upset about that scene. I think the book wrote the story marginally better so the motivations and insecurities were more developed that what is shown in this TV version. They really didn't film this scene well at all maybe because they were stuck to keep it in and the emotional element really had no build up or motivation because their relationship was pretty solid up to this point whereas in the book it was more rocky.
oh well.

I can only imagine that Doc/Champ storyline is going well because they weren't in the novel. Then again there are some odd decisions, like putting the peeping neighbour and wanna be kpop idol from Season 1 into Season 2 for not good reason. I really cannot wrap my head around that one at all.

I hated Boyo's character from all of Season 1 and through the whole Bew storyline of Season 2. She was a really horrible person. I think she has finally matured thank goodness. Took long enough.
