Slightly disappointed, but not surprised. It seems like GMMTV ruins everything it touches. This season made the…
Good point. Grace was a cheat code/ shortcut. She said he was going to loose like three eps from the end so that was a downer. I was hoping Pang would come into his own and develop his gift further than the director. Have a little more team work going on.... there were a lot of potentials they didn't use.
My conclusion from S1 and S2, What solved every problem in gifted :OVALTINE
Exactly what I was saying every time I saw it. Boosted their thinking power. It really is what saved them all... that and the purple one they started with.
Thing is these two are pretty hot for each other in the novel but it just didn't translate well onto the screen…
Indeed. The whole show wasn't well executed. They didn't take the same level of care as the first season and part of that may have to do with all the changes and rewrites of the story and perhaps time and budget. They tried to do too much in too little time and failed everywhere. I feel sorry for Perth that he was not given anything to do and for such a talented actor, this was such a waste of time and effort for him but bless him, he still gave it his all. I really hope he moves on to better projects with directors and writers that can appreciate and use his talents fully.
Same for me. I enjoyed more Tul and Hin story than Can and Tin. And yea, Ae was the best this season but sadly…
The writers definitely and clearly backtracked on the Tum and Tar storyline and thank goodness too because that was not right on so many levels. I skip their scenes in the first season. I don't mind some step-brother love stories but this particular one was so wrong. So they have rewritten the Tum Tar story and gave Tum a new love interest. Tar can now go work on healing and finding his way again. I am also glad they worked on the Kengkla redemption arc even though not explicitly mentioning why he had to redeem himself in the first place. From the TharnType novel it should have been a fun watch but it also didn't come across on screen very well. They tried to fix a lot but didn't quite pull it off in the time given. It was a bit of a mess considering all the great quality bl shows out at the same time.
honestly, can we stop cringy and excessive sex scenes that don't do anything for the story and aren't working??…
Thing is these two are pretty hot for each other in the novel but it just didn't translate well onto the screen because these two are not comfortable with each other to give the type of performance they need for such a role. I did feel that this season Mean's walls came down a smidge, but Plan's was still way up. I still like them both though. At least there is TharnType and Earth (Singto) and all his ships to keep me going.
I haven't seen many people comment about the fact that both Mean and Plan apologised for their acting in this…
I mean, Mean and Plan don't seem comfortable together but Mean's acting has slowly improved over the season so I liked him a little more at the end. Plan remained a little stiff though. I also don't blame them too much, they had to work with what they were given - script and directing wise.... But these two never really were able to develop being completely comfortable with each in other in these roles like other actors are able to do. I think perhaps they recognise that for themselves.
I wasn't a big Tsuge fan at first, but he is so manic I love him now!
OMG right. I wasn't looking forward to the Tsuge scenes this episode as they are such a drag but this episode he is finally coming into himself and we are seeing more interactions and thoughts now. The way he runs everywhere lol! Manic is the word.
I have to say bravo to the team who made this work so wonderfully and meaningfully including all the actors. Every detail just holds so much meaning and feeling. A show that really pulls me in and says something about life. Wonderful adaptation of the comic.
I should like to start by stating that I do like Ingredients because it is so cute and adorable, as are the two…
I would counter that before the Judges said that, Jeff purposefully sung quite restrained in order to contrast the song he wrote for Tops to emphasise his feelings through that song. There was a deliberate contrast between his singing the first song and his singing the second song to juxtapose it coming from his heart and highlight his growing feelings for Tops against a song that doesn't mean as much to him. When Jeff sung the first song I was surprised because it didn't sound like his usual quality until he sung the second song and I was like...whoop there it is. Also, it is an audition so there is no requirement for people to be great singers and sometimes people get nervous and have bad auditions. They simply wont pick them. As it is a cheap and simple production and they are doing very well with what they have, I don't mind them using less than stellar extras for that specific purpose as it was still appropriate though I also fast forwarded that part. I hate that its every two weeks but they are managing to do a lot in 10-15 mins and the longing and desire from Jeff's acting is incredibly palpable. I can't believe it's almost over already! Only 5 more eps. :( Also this is pretty much just a giant ad for the channel so I personally don't give it too much credence as much as I would a show from a company that specialises in drama.
Frakking hilarious! A little different to the usual stuff. From the trailer, I didn't expect them to have as much chemistry as they do so I am glad it works.
Not too bad. A little slow. I got confused with all the extra characters and then there was not much of an intro to them so was even more confusing. I think it will be very difficult for them to act out the inner motivations of both these characters. In the book it laid out what each was thinking and how they cared for each other but the actions made the other person misunderstand. I don't know how they are going to do this effectively as already this first ep., with all the misunderstandings happening is already unclear for viewers who haven't read the novel. I can see it from the comments already. I mean the whole iron shirt argument didn't come across clearly on why Type was upset with Tharn and I think in the novel it is clearer and you can understand both sides, but here it just looks like Type is throwing a tantrum over nothing with no explanation on what actually made him upset. If one hasn't been in an adult relationship then it will be harder to understand how these things are a problem and happen. They will have so many more of these things building up . I hope they do them well. I miss Techno! Where is he at and why is Kengla not on the cast list but a whole bunch of rando's are? We shall see. Tharn Type are still have good chemistry so will still stay tuned.
