you should watch their previous drama together! the male lead is a writer there, so its a perfect sequel

tang fan is very obviously dubbed, the voice sounds nothing like the actor's real voice

i know everyone says its an open ending, but i personally feel like that ending implied that he died. either way, it doesnt seem like a happy ending (even in the book ending where he lived). the second to last episode felt so happy, i almost regret watching the last episode

Just from the first episode, it seems Da Laoshi is the one now leading and solving most of the puzzles. Other members are involving themselves and giving ideas. But it's obvious that none of them are actually coming up with solutions/answers. And compared to previous seasons, you can tell that the production team has lowered the difficulty of the puzzles overall.

Justin is going the acting pathway now, so he's pretty busy. So is Yang Mi. And I think neither of them wanted to be there without each other anyway

the ending of the series was too rushed. the rebellion + xiao heng' battle + happy ending was all wrapped up in two episodes. in my opinion, the drama should've ended much later at episode 45: firstly, ep 39-41 chen wang's rebellion, defeat and aftermath, then ep 42 xiao heng and a-li's wedding and sorting out her relationship with her "father"+ some side character stories wrapping up, then ep 43-44 xiao heng out in battle and a-li getting re-used to life in peace and more side characters stories wrapping up, ep 45: xiao heng comes back from battle + happy ending + married life.
