The first few episodes were good, then it was getting really slow and draggy. But I was able to finish this: Bai Lu never disappoint to me, and though I missed that more ruthless role from Wang Xing Yue, it was nice to see the softer side from him. Lots of disconnected dialogues, like all of sudden there are this random conversation in and out of nowhere. Knowing mystery dramas usually don't have lots of romance, I didn't have much expectation on this either so I really appreciate the ending. For me not a masterpiece but it's always fun to watch Bai Lu.

When I said give them a chance is to give them a chance for the acting. What are you thinking, to watch some hot scenes? Gee gosh who's disgusting now? This is chinese drama for heaven's sake and I've been watching for more than decades. Are you really expecting hot kiss or what? Even with romance scenes most likely it will be a light kiss if there is any. Or maybe not even kiss scenes. Many romance chinese drama don't even have kiss scenes. Besides it was her decision to take the role, who the hell are you to judge her? If her role disgust you even before you watch then pleassssse skip this drama and move on.
