Come for thai vampires and stay for heart wrenching story about loving life

It is a bit tricky to describe Nour, because it starts as an engaging supernatural detective, but in reality it is a story about grief, enduring, suffering and choosing life.
So if you are here sorely for supernatural, by the end you may feel a bit cheated. Making your own version of vampires - titular nours - lets director and screenwriter to make them as suitable to the story as needed, but also makes viewers to long for explanations that simply do not exist.
Same with a detective part of the story. Case is solved, but not because of our detectives are pros at catching supernatural. The only motive for the killer that is given - he wad so very angry and hurt.
After end credits roll you can easily make a list of questions not answered, but it will be a list of the things that is not relevant for both characters in the story or the main themes of it.
James in his quest for revenge does not care why his dad was killed. Ken, suffering from being alive, but not really living, does not care how he was turned or why. In a story about how important it is to live in a moment, to find joy even if its fleeting right now is the only thing that matters.
Every pair goes through their out journey of grief and loss, ultimately finding their own answer on how to move from that place to a better one.
And even though a part of me wished for no nonsense happy end, fragile sweetness of what show delivered, i feel, fits the story better.
In the end, i only left with one question - why wasn't it given at least 15 episodes.
