What is the point of teasing serious plot if you want to do a cheesy melodrama?
Its not like this show is horrbly unwatchable. There is, definitely worse ones in both production and plot. But its hard to look at all this wadted potential andnot feel deeply disappointed. But first the good things.
It is so very pretty. Atmospheric coloring, very well done choreography (of both dances and fights), all actors styled nicely. One of the best places to get your eye candy this spring/summer season.
Set up is also very intriguing. Both detective part (host getting kidnapped, killed or trafficed), social part (Wayu quitting university to support his struggling family) and even romantic one (with so much separating our main leads, from occupation to family situation).
Amazing support cast. Moonlight parts are definitely the best.
Unfortunately, it spectacularly flops on everything, except dances.
Krit as a detective is profoundly useless (from the very first time when hemanages to scare offthe vitness ready to file assult charges on his suspect). He does try. We get to see his thinking board and he does... stuff. But somehow all the progress is made by other people and in the end the case is closed offscreen with no definite villains named/punished beyond some off hand remarks. But Krit gets promoted andyou get to wonder if dad forced the case closed to protect his corrupt buddies.
Family struggles of both Wayu and Krit solved magicaly when plot convenient. This is extremely annoying, because everything is big deal before it gets solved with no effort from anyone. End if you can give a pass for mom beating gambling addiction or sister returning to family (even though that last one makes "daddy and papa" parts extremely strange if you let yourself think about it for an extra minute). Krits father... the way Krit breaks up with Wayu for his safety, so heart breaking, so dangerous. And its nothing. Dad does nothing and changes his mind in 2 episodes. Splendid.
Personally i am not a big fan of nc/intimacy scenes in this. Too comedic for my tastes straight into cringe territory next to bdsm gear from last episodes.
I think the only way to enjoy this is is you are die hard fan of main actors or just dont care if plot moves due to what is happening on screen or what author wants to happen.

Come for thai vampires and stay for heart wrenching story about loving life
It is a bit tricky to describe Nour, because it starts as an engaging supernatural detective, but in reality it is a story about grief, enduring, suffering and choosing life.So if you are here sorely for supernatural, by the end you may feel a bit cheated. Making your own version of vampires - titular nours - lets director and screenwriter to make them as suitable to the story as needed, but also makes viewers to long for explanations that simply do not exist.
Same with a detective part of the story. Case is solved, but not because of our detectives are pros at catching supernatural. The only motive for the killer that is given - he wad so very angry and hurt.
After end credits roll you can easily make a list of questions not answered, but it will be a list of the things that is not relevant for both characters in the story or the main themes of it.
James in his quest for revenge does not care why his dad was killed. Ken, suffering from being alive, but not really living, does not care how he was turned or why. In a story about how important it is to live in a moment, to find joy even if its fleeting right now is the only thing that matters.
Every pair goes through their out journey of grief and loss, ultimately finding their own answer on how to move from that place to a better one.
And even though a part of me wished for no nonsense happy end, fragile sweetness of what show delivered, i feel, fits the story better.
In the end, i only left with one question - why wasn't it given at least 15 episodes.

good story done very messy
*spoilers are very slight, but i do discuss story as a whole*
I want to start with praise first, since most important part of detective with horror elements is a story and it is good. It has foreshadowing when its needed, solid structure and some good emotional beats. Good work from special effects and make up crew creates visual hooks from the start too and if you are a fan of gory-type of horror they do deliver till the end of the series.
Unfortunately, this is not as good if you look and detective side of the story and its execution. Unlike slashers or horrors with high-schoolers, some degree of common sense is expected from cops, even if they do not believe in ghost from the get go... but no, people responsible for the script more often than not choose stupid as a solution. It is not as evident at the start (like arresting Thup, but not removing his belt), but gets progressively worse, culminating in 12th episode. Sometimes main characters acting dumb is not a big deal, but not in this genre. At least i strongly believe so.
Other thing, that i found even more unforgivable - inconsistencies in magical side of things. Any magic, including ghosts and curses, need to follow its rules. Instead, we have Thup, who is in constant danger from all ghosts in the world, until it just stops, and Singha who is a proper ghost repellant, until this stops working too. And at first the killings have to follow strict rules and even slight interference can ruin it, forcing killer to start over... oh, wait, its also not like that. And its all ended this a proper deus ex machina spell. So very disappointing, so easily fixable.
Romance part, unfortunately, also lives much to be desired. Main couple starts awkward and forced and continues to be out of place. I do wonder if fans of Pooh and Pavel loved it, but for someone not invested in them, it was like watching inserts from some other show, once again it was stronger the closer we got to the end. Second couple fit in narrative much better, but with much less screen time or even focus.
Good story bits are still good, some parts are even great and it is entertaining enough. But bad parts ruin it pretty noticeably if you prefer logic in your entertainment.
