Sima Jiao takes the #1 spot for me as a Xianxia ML. Even though he went through a lot of suffering in his childhood, he doesn’t act like a jerk toward the FL (aside from a little at the beginning to confirm his suspicions). He’s honest with her, openly says he cherishes her the most, and even goes along with her whims. After reading some spoilers about the later story, I love his character even more

Tbh I didn't see the SML in both the trailer for more than 3-4 secs. Feels like his role is shorter or he just completely disappears

How's the dynamic between ML and FL here in the novel if anyone has read it guys?

I saw two trailers of the drama, and it seems that the misunderstanding or angst will only be on Zhu Yu's side because of his principles as a demon hunter. The FL, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to mind that he’s a demon hunter

This would have been Princess WanNing’s story if Shen Yurong were as intelligent,kind,patience and capable as Yan Shang. Honestly, the premise feels almost the same; the FL here is a princess married off to the enemy, only to later meet the ML, a scholar.

Are they going to have misunderstandings/breakup/angst when their identities are revealed?

Every time they want an emperor which is well liked by everyone role they always select Bao Jian Feng 🤣

How is Zhao Lusi's character so far? Is she annoying type

Pretty sure Zhou Ye would be the last person chosen for this drama as she is already the protagonist of LOTFG which occurs in the same universe as of this

I wonder what's the relationship between Xiao Jue and Duke Su from The Double both of them share the same surname and are from military family also the story takes place in same universe

I sincerely hope they don’t use AI again to force a sad ending just for the sake of making it more ‘impactful.’ Instead, they should give us the happy ending that’s already in the novel

Plot is nothing special but the leads dynamic and chemistry is making me click on next episode much faster. Like these two don't care about the world at all. Also I like the FL here she is scared of ML but also cares about him and
think of him as a good person. Plus no misunderstanding between them so far. They both speak truth to each other without hiding anything

A more similar but better drama than ADWAD would be Fortune Writer. I recommend trying it as it is only a short length drama but handles the topic which ADWAD couldn't do

When will ML get the chance to shine so far, we have seen only FL saving him and her friends in action. ML hasn't done much

I think ML might have some idea about FL's true identity.

I love how neither of the leads is concerned with the world. The ML is consumed by his hatred and actually wants to burn it down, while the FL treats everything like a vacation, only paying attention to what truly matters to her. Their sole focus is on each other, saving the world is the last thing on their minds
