Dzisiaj z laski swojej pokazalam sie promotorce. Dala zalke mimo, ze i tak teorii jej nie dalam. znaczy dalam, ale zabralam, bo powiedzialam, ze za slabe xD I jakie badania? badania robilas? No daj spokoj. U mnie na roku u innych promotorow ledwie spis tresci robia.

No to bardzo fajnie, ze masz swoja nisze z Wongiem ;) Mi jakos tak nie do konca pasuje, ale "In The Mood for Love" i "2046" rewelacja. A co do kaszany, no ile mozna o kazirodztwie? lol.

No i gral tam Leslie, ktory nie okazal sie kobieta ;D

That would be amazing to have some metal bands from HK. I hope people get inspiration from other countries of the region :)

I'm not sure how to describe how amazing was for me this film. I felt so connected with this story. Now I want to write quite a lot about it but I can't. You just must it :)

Haha, all Chthonic's songs are Freddy's. I'd rather his original name - Tshiongtso. BTW, they had concerts in Hong Kong too. People really want variety. Freddy even sung chorus of song "Takao" in Cantonese (in original recording, one of the choruses was sung in Mandarin). There's only one recording of this made by fan.

"Farewell My Concubine" just broke my heart. Such a beautiful film. I was amazed by Leslie's acting and this tension between his character and best friend. This film ended on my top 5 list - yeah, it means this one was a total masterpiece ;)

It's good wait in this case. You're thinking about it and I really like this feeling ;)

So happy that I'm introducing you to this awesome music :D Believe me, Far East has so many awesome bands and artists to offer. Chthonic now are considered one of the the best metal bands ever. We need few more years but this what they do is so memorable and they're hard-working for their fame which is absolutely deserved.

I was listening to Cantopop just to hear what it is. Most of the songs are the same - same beats, melody, instruments, just everything. In HK are singers with beautiful voices, if only they could make something different. Sometimes Mandopop is my guilty pleasure - they have so many music styles, you want r'n'b - ok, rock - yes, or rap. Just anything. But special place in my heart has metal. They have some awesome bands making music which should be well-known all over the world :)

Yay :D I'm waiting for effects of your research ;)

Freddy Lim is vocalist of Chthonic. He's the founder of this band and well known activist.

Many metalheads would say there's a huge difference. I can even say it is. All is about the subject and specific tone of the whole composition. But not all songs are in black metal style. I'm so curious what you'll think ;)

Adopt me or something. I'll learn with you Cantonese and Hakka ;) I just confused Hakka with Hokkien. Names sometimes are so similiar. So many dialect and I feel ashamed that I forgot difference between Hakka and Hokkien.

I must work for uni but I miss my swordmanship trainings and learning Chinese.

And my avi - it's this guy, singer Freddy Lim, who told me how to say "thank you" in Hokkien :) It's his promotional photoshoot for album. Check my song link - 49 Theurgy Chains ;) But be ready for black metal lol

I've heard Hakka. My favourite band is from Taiwan and they're speaking to each other in this dialect. No to mention that their songs' are in this dialect too. Vocalist even taught us how to say "thank you". I promised to myself if they come again, I'll speak with Freddy in Mandarin (I can't even dream about Hakka, I think in area of Fujian they're also speaking in this dialect). I'm a total sucker for languages, I need to know so many details. Gosh, why I don't have time to learn Chinese now? I miss learning it so much. At least, I have breaks with films.

Kim Ki-duk is far far away this time, I have one film on DVD but other stuff is winning.

We started our journey with Taiwanese films in the same time ;) Not long time ago I've seen "Silk", it was science-fiction horror. I want classics, I have already few waiting to watch. One of them is with Tony Leung ;) It's "A City of Saddness". When I catch my breath to Friday, I'll watch it this weekend.

Did you notice difference between Mandarin from Taiwan and Mainland? For me Taiwanese Mandarin is softer. If I only had more materials with their accent. All the learning books are with Mainland Mandarin recordings. I must watch more films ;)

And how are you in general? Everything's ok? We haven't chatted for a while. But what a nice coincidence showed up ;)

No one knows but they have a lot of amazing bands like Tengger Cavalry (my fave from People's Republic of China). They make fusions of folk and industrial. They're amazingly creative that now I'm listening metal from there mostly.
My beloved Chthonic is totally different story. They're from Taiwan and activists. Freddy Lim, vocalist, he's in Amnesty International. He's against Chinese politics and whole band state it. So well, they're banned there. I think that even as turists, they can't go there but have fanbase there. They met Chinese fans in Stockholm while their European tour.

In Polish TV they're not using subs at all, only dub (but thankfully, "behind" you can hear original voices).

I'm so glad that you liked it :) Metal is not well-received in Korea anyway. But Gostwind is their gem. I wonder if the situation will change like in Japan or China.
