Thank you, I really enjoy writing (especially on subjects I love) I just think we should talk about it, I also think writers can be more imaginitive and include the behavior being called out as many of them have started to do. It is more a question of how than a what to show or not show. And I am in no way advocating for censorship just more awareness.

Everything around a show is there to make us want them to end up together, kind of scary when you think about it... but honestly I am pretty sure that in real life handsome or not most people would not want to be subjected to this behavior.

Considering that date rape is a big issue, I still argue that this scene along with his controlling nature are problematic and signefys rape rather than persuasion. I will agree that her attitude the next day is ambigueus however that is part of my issues with this scene how they portray his behaviour as perfectly fine. This sends the signal to those watching that no is yes and that it is okay behaviour. And how people react to date rape veries a lot, so I'm not buying it but it is interesting to read your take on the scene. Thank you 🙃

Made in Taiwan , this article focuses on C-dramas but maybe a furure aticle will have Taiwan in the center ( but I have not seen it yet). However I have seen it mentioned in the comments, so you are not alone to react, there are a lot of dramas that have not been mentioned here, but hopefully people will be able to recognise the behaviour based on the descriptions given here.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, no I do not think sex is a need men need to controll quite the contrary, I think some times the drama will imply that sex is a need men can not control. I believe all humans shoul be able to control their dessieres no matter what gender they are. once people lose that controll it is more about violence and taking control of another humans body than desiere or love. Sex (rape) has actually been used as warfeare in many conflicts around the world as well (but Im not going to get in to that). However consensual sex or relations of any kind can be amazing if you listen in your partner and are attentaative to what they enjoy.

Most important is to understand the differense, but more and more drmas are using calling out this behaviour as great punch up comic relief.

there was actually a lot to write about with him too, but it had been a while since I saw that drama when I wrote this, but the whole hotel schene and the jellousy are forever (okay not forever) in my mind.
