DP2- Disappointing Part2
I came for the issues, darkness and Jung Hae In (+ the rest of the cast) and well all the stuff that made season one great including it's PPL but all I got was confusion.Season 2 is honestly the most confusing season I have ever watched, time hops, oddly cut and instead of great repetitiveness and PPL humour I got silly fights and conspiracies... Some kind of A few good Men ordeal without Jack Nicholson yelling "You cant handle the truth" but with some nice kicks and Jung Hae In´s naked upper body... but non of that could make up for the silliness and confusion in this so I am sorry to say this (I really am) as I gave season 1 a 10 this one barely makes it to a 7,5 saved from an even lower rate by it's cast, music, issues (it does touch a few issues, just not enough) and the slight feeling of desspair that I appreciated from season 1.
If you loved season one I would recommend you avoid this season as it may take away season ones magic and ruin a fond memory, and honestly this season is redundant as it ads nothing to the story at all...

Between Fanservice and a Plot Fanservice Seems to Win
Fan service... Fanservice... For as Far as the eye can see there will be Fanservice... I seems like the creators of this where faced with a choice to offer fansevice or plot but not both...This is the highly anticipated parallel story of Win and Team who many of those who watched Until We Meet again wanted to see more of... And indeed we did get to see more of those two, a lot more.. And while they pretty much offer some kind of consistency with the main story and its timeline, and though there is a trauma that they do try to adress... This drama seames to be missing that all important plot that the mother drama has.
While the leads are lovable, fun to watch and take off their clothes a lot, I am not sure there is much of a plot. There are some good lines here and there, splashes of humour, and I dare say even high quality dialog at times. There are even signs of angst, misunderstandings and the oh so entertaining plot line of people who need to communicate with each other better but there is very little build up and yes as I seem to say a lot I found it hard to find the plot most of the time.
That said the dialog about consent in this is gold, so is the general message of actors have the right to love too... Most of the characters are entertaining, lovable and sweet. The acts of friendship are adorable to and I dare say the main couple while lacking in build do have great chemistry and provide a whole lot of fan service... And are a pleasure to watch. I also enjoyed seeing a swim team without perfect abs and that seem to act like most bodies do when bended showing us some skin and fat too.
A lot of the acting in this drama could have been better, like a lot better I do not have any complaints about Boun Noppanut Guntachai/ Win his acting was pretty decent but when it comes to the rest of the cast I know they can do better, I have seen several of them do better so I do not know if this drama was rushed or if it due to the writing but they did not bring out their best work for this drama.
Watching this drama (both the cut and uncut version too) felt a bit like sitting next to someone who is driving a manual car for the first time as it the shifting was al jerky and off... So again either the editing or writing was a bit off... At I kept feeling that something was missing most of the time while other times it felt draggy instead.
I do not know if I can truly recommend it as I am sad to say it is so inconsistent in quality and lacks a plot so I can not really say it was good. But I did enjoy parts of it a lot, it is an easy binge and yes I did fall for the fanservice I guess... It is also gif friendly Oh and Boun is definitely going on my crush list after this.
P.S. The official sights subbing is even worse than the lack of plot... and has even more grammatical errors and typos than most of my reviews. I am still grateful towards those who added subs to this, for without them I would be lost.

I was expecting toxic cliches but got: broken, scared and confused done right!
A trip to my broken youth... This drama threw me to my teens, though the characters here are in their twenties I could not help but think of the time I was trying to find my place in the world, wanting love while being terrified of it at the same time.... this drama is neither the feel good, butterfly fluffy romance or the toxic bad boy mess one may think it would be but a beautifully made show of the chaos that is made when fear, longing and broken souls come together.I completely fell in love with the way this drama uses sound, filming angels, slow motion, lighting and even backsplashes to set the mood and convey the way the leads are feeling and topped them off with letting us listen in on their thoughts. And while I often find flashbacks annoying these where just perfect to set the mood in this drama. not to mention the great use of symbolism thru both art, weather and umbrellas. I could really understand and feel what I think they where trying to make me feel.
The characters here are probably not the most lovable characters and do not always make the best choices but they feel real and relatable in a way that is hard to explain but was just right for me. I loved how the women in this drama are portrayed as active, sexual beings with lust without completely ignoring the double standards set on women. Not to mention the inner war between heart, logic, fear. The second male lead has great dimples and is a great second male lead. dare I say second male lead done right giving way for some pretty important dialog from the female lead and was great for the plot as well as an aid for her character development and self awareness.
The male lead is portrayed as this dangerous guy that uses women as toys, that women should stay clear of, but is actually a pretty broken yet upfront guy that actually respects others boundaries (most of the time) and though he may have used some tricks never forced himself on any one else, so I actually liked him. And could definitely see my 20 year old self fall for him.
The side couples in this drama complement the main couple beautifully showing different struggles on the way to admitting to ones feelings as well as pressure and again self doubt. And there was not a single character that annoyed me.
This drama will show you more butterflies than give you butterflies but is worth much more than temporary butterflies, and is most definitely worth being watched.
P.s. There is also a really cute kitten in one of the episodes!
Also, smoking is bad for your health (they smoke allot)!

Expressionless, did they even try?
This drama has an okay, seen before slightly rushed story... Incorporating Playboy boy friend, revenge, misunderstanding, evil mother (in law), evil coworker etc. Giving us some classics like splashing coffee and forced time apart. The female lead has an expressionless charm, making me wonder what she is hiding about 80% of her screen time, part of me is impressed another just feels numb, as the kissing/implied sex scenes completely lack any sign of sparks. There really is no chemistry involved what so ever and her expressions are as dry as the dessert....
The male leads have their charms and nice smiles, but over all just fall flat.
That said it is an easy binge ant there is some kind of charm to watching something where you keep wondering if this lack of expression i part of the story or just due to bad direction/acting.

Chasing the Cringe
Third drama in the series of the world of the close friendships, rich kids and relationships that always seem to have some kind of hiccup...Unlike the other dramas this one felt more like two separate seasons, season one was okay a bit awkward and made me role my eyes a few times but it was okay... The end of season one and the second season, yes I know it is only one never ending drama, so second half, second season, whatever was just so, so ,so lame. Taking our okay, not great but okay male lead and giving him more flags than Lee Min Hos character had in Boys over Flowers. Trying to disguise several mens (not only our male lead) predatory behaviour as love? and romance? Seriously?
The female lead got cringey and her acting felt as fake as her hair extensions, but I still hoped that she would shove Sevi off of her and run for her life never to return...
So basically while I do seem to have a thing for this universe as it keeps wheeling me in, I am seriously worried about the writers experience and understanding of healthy relationships and men. and signs of intelligence.
Girl, you can do better!
Also, people breakups are usually for the best, let go of your ex and move on with your life...

Everybody wants to die with Reiji
Forget till death do us part in this drama everybody wants to do and/or die with Reiji... In this extreamly twisted drama that tells some stuff as they appear to be giving a face and a voice to the suicidal, the predator, the stalker and the obsessed. There is this raw honesty and symbolism that sticks with the dram from the first depressing inner monolog to the last even more depressing inner monolog and has great dialog with such great lines as:" If you can´t smoke I take you can´t do a lot of other things to"
" Ill make you feel happy to die with Aow Nagi!
" So did I just commit a felony"
" Im consenting to this" - yes they actually use the word consent!
" Her emptiness makes me feel at ease"
" but it would have been worse if the gender were reversed, Thank god I'm a woman"
" Only I can save Reiji"
But also a lot that should probably creep you out. A fun watch, a different and definitely a drama worth a watch

Soundtrack No 2 as in less good than Soundtrack No 1
This was a short yet inconsistent drama in form of pace and the ability to keep my attention. The chemistry between the three leads is kind of off, the romance feels meeh... and I kept thinking to myself she is probably better off single than with a guy who clearly does not understand her at all.
That said I liked the female lead quite a bit for being human, fun and showing a range of emotions done well, however the other characters just fell short both in lovabilaty for the character and also in terms of delivery of lines.
The music is kind of sweet, the shots go between "oh this is pretty" to "oh I feel dizzy"
An okay watch bit not so much more...

Part of the Plot was Left on the Moon
This is a very short dare I say educational film, there to show support to the trans community where they tried to squeeze in as many issues as they possibly could in to 8 minutes while still trying to have some kind of story. The result of this ambition is that the viewers are left to piece a lot of the story together on their own, giving it a bit of the feeling of waking upp after a drunken night and trying to piece the evening together... Still the issues are important, the attempt at a plot admirable and the parental figures lovely.
But I do believe we all should live on earth, and that there is a need to go fetch the parts of the plot that where left on the moon. So here is for this getting a remake with a higher budget, but till then it will only take 8 minutes of your time so if you have come this far reading this review you might as well give it a try.

Lawless land with a whole lot of attraction... and smiles
This is the story of the evil lawyer with a devilish smile who falls in love with the stupidly kind Tai Kwan Do instructor at first sight only to find himself in a bit of a dilemma... a dilemma that sends the two off in to a dangerous pit of corruption, misunderstandings, people framing each other and some kind of healing done fun...The acting varies quite a bit but the devilish smile of the lawyer ml pretty much makes up for any shortcomings among some of the side charakters and honestly So does Silvy who impresses me more and more every time I see her, why has she not gotten lead role yet? Seriously girl has talent and attitude, and to top it off she even has a really good voice. As well as the grandma who is just a total sweetheart.
The story is pretty predictable, but has a lot of angles, the villain is as evil as it gets both the villain and the lawyer with the devilish smile have some really good lines.
Half of the male second couple is good the other half annoyed me while the female second couple could easily have stolen the show all together, maybe made a spin off where they create a trio cabaret with the grandma and tour the world...
So what can I say it an okay watch with a whole lot of fun and entertaining but also a whole lot of meeh and bad acting

Twists, and explosions that left me wanting more.
This is one of those dramas that is pretty much guaranteed to keep you on your toes, and is most definitely an easy binge as the pace is fast the twists are endless (some more predictable than others), the possible outcomes in every episode are like 8 and each episode ends with a cliffhanger making you feel that need to click on that next episode button.Add to that the acting (not only abs) of Lee Seung Gi, the endless charm och Bae Suzy (acting too), the cold second male lead and a bunch of fun not ridiculous characters and you have a really good drama. This is not a romance, but much like in Big Mouth (same writers), the romance in this is top, top, both chemistry and sweet scenes and would have made a great romance drama if they would have given the romance more time and episodes... but that said this definitely satisfied my need for romance.
Though I am not a fan of second seasons this is a drama that desperately needs one, making me lower the score a bit, other things that lowered the score where some unrealistic stuff, some stereotypes, and things that made me role my eyes. However the story it self is really interesting and considering all the twists and details, pretty impressive. The characters are mostly complex. The explosions and scenery is lovely...
Definitely a fun drama!
P.s. it is another drama I watched with my hubby that he actually enjoyed and wanted to binge. I also dropped it mid episode the first time I started it but picked it up a few years later and got hooked from the start. So If you are not feeling it right away you may just need a break. Also pay attention to the details, they matter more than you think.

Social Criticism At It's Most Confusing
This was so much fun, while I did want to beat a few people up as well as mute the mom and sister... I still found myself enjoying this just a little bit to much...As this is a drama that talkes about class, and by that I do no mean school class, or being classy but the actual blue collar white collar socioeconomic class... power relations, masculinity the works and it does it beautifully... Fine you may need to dig a bit and there are a lot, and by that I mean a lot lines that are there to show the absurdity of gender and class conventions that if taken out of this satire context would seem a bit sexist... So they are pretty much putting these things out there. I am willing to admit that some of the stuff they put out there had me guessing wondering are they serious or are they just trying to show this stuff as the line between progressiveness and whatever I should call it can feel a bit blurred... And thing do become kind of absurd... And I guess I liked it.
While I hated the female leads mom and sister I did really enjoy watching all four leads, their lines, thier characters, their interactions mimics.. muscles... As well as the use of the word sexy" and "uterus".
That said the wrap up was a bit to fast, so I would like a few more episodes. But other than that this is an easy binge and a whole lot of fun...

You will need to both love the cast and Hate to Love to love this show
Some would say that the definition of insanity is repeating the same mistake over and over again and expecting a different result, so by this definition the mother in this drama is indeed insane, and to be honest that may not be the only reason for the audience to come to that conclusion. As this is the story of the mother who wanted to make up for lost time by controlling her grown up kids and how every single attempt at that pretty much backfired. The boys are lovely to watch, not really boyfriend material and have indeed been deeply traumatised by their very rich on money but poor on love childhood. However I do not think I would call them gentle except for maybe they youngest bro. That said I loved them all. As for their points of rebellion/love interests I would say the first one was sweet the second not really my type and the third had a lovely character but was not very well performed.
One thing you may want to know going in to this is that this drama is very much a drama that can easily be split in to 3 more or less completely detached parts. One for each bro with a so called special at the end, so if you find yourself thinking hey this couple is not my cup of coffee you could actually just skip it and move on to the next.
This is also a drama packed with the hate to love trope as well as a bunch of well known and love drama cliches such as the oh so beloved co habitation, misunderstandings, ex comes back, poor woman rich man, power relations etc... There are also a bunch of sweet friendships, backstabbers, cheaters and women who hate women... As well as a how of society double standards towards women showing us yet again how women get blamed for pretty much everything if they show the slightest interest in pleasuring her body... While a male can be a serial cheater but still be viewed as the victim of seduction.
Was it good? no not really... Was it bad no not really? But The boys may not be gentle but they are indeed a pleasure to watch so while I may have wanted to give the plot a 6 9/10 of the cast made me smile whenever they appeared on screen making it worth my precious time. So if you are unfamiliar with the actors and do not like the first episode I advise you to drop this as most of what makes this drama worth your time is the feeling you get from watching the cast and not so much the plot...

A broken lighter and a run away princess... who turns in to a knight
Another drama that could have been great if they only cut it in half... or skipped a bunch of draggy scenes and unnecessary detours. As this is indeed the story of the pretty naive but bad ass princess who falls in love with the broken lighter. The broken lighter has a bunch of red flags and completely lacks communication skills, he has however learned the hard way how to manipulate his surroundings to get what he wants instead of using actual verbal words.
The princess, has parents who pretty much want to control her, do not value her opinion at all an basically oppress her in the name of "mommy knows best" basically forcing her to either do as they say or find ways to lie to them. And while the parents here are pretty much as awful if not worse than most parents in c- dramaland they do make way for a lot of character development for the female lead and are one of few examples of controlling parents who actually contribute to the plot in a good way. However this was underdeveloped and I can not believe I am writing this but I would have wanted a little bit more screen time for this part of the plot.
The romance in this is top tire, with or without being in an actual relationship the leads have great energy, bickering, great chemistry, a bunch of beautiful scenes and though you will have to wait for the kisses, the drama does offer a bunch of steamy kisses and more. The female lead is pretty much addicted to the male lead but manages to be so without becoming pathetic (odd but true). Oh and they do seam to have a basic idea about consent .
So what is it I am trying to say here...
The main coupe may not be goals but they are indeed entertaining and fun to watch. However the surrounding plot with all its twists and turn make little to no sense, there are some good and important lines and scenes here and there about second chances, struggles, bullying, jealousy (a lot of jealousy), needing help to climb mountains, betrayal, inequality all done pretty ok, but they made it feel cluttered and draggy and just prolonged the main couples struggles and took up screen time.
Some parts of this are great others meeh, the pacing and time skips are kind of off too. Some of the long build ups are wrapped up with unsatisfactory lines or flash by in a second. One moment they are kissing the next moment it is 3 years later. Inconsistent as it may be it is gif worthy, and binge worthy fluff worth a watch.

Pretty...
Sometimes a person just needs some mindless drama, with pretty cloths, evil characters, and the promise of the results of peoples hard work on chiselling abs and back muscles. Overwhelming throbbing masculinity that forces itself upon some helpless femininity... Watching a man take charge....in a firework display of lies, power and deceit...And this is indeed a place to see that, at least the first few episodes the amount of times the male lead removes his upper clothing flexes his muscles and forces himself upon the female lead in a guilty pleasure kind of way is indeed almost overwhelming. Later on we also see the big difference in hot and sexy use of ones body to overtake another person in a less evil way and the forcing ones self upon another person in an evil not so sexy way. It is all in the way the lipstick is smeared and the hair.
But the male lead does seem to keep his shirt on more and more the more what would seem like plot unfolds.
The male lead is indeed fluent in writ grab, throw over the shoulder and hiding stuff. But has indeed done his ab work and besides the whole forcing himself upon the female lead seems kind of nice, besides the forcing was done for a good cause, since women who have been forced upon are deemed taken and therefore can only marry the man who did the deed... Showing us how lovely it was to be a woman in the past.
The female lead changes sides more than a tennis ball at Wimbledon, and it is indeed a miracle that she survives past the first episode.
Then there is a voice of reason or more the voice of the viewers among the characters who won my heart... There is also a bunch of more or less evil, cleaver and annoying characters among the cast.
So if you choose to watch this shut off your brain and enjoy the view, just know that the frequency of the power demonstrations by removing clothing become less and less frequent as the episodes pass by.

My heart fluttered... and it was nice
This is a story about the humans behind the idols and trainees. The secrets, the pain, the struggles... the evil media, evil ceo and of course the evil fans who seem to forget that idols are humans too... But most of all this is a story about friendship, falling in love and moving on... With lots and lots of pretty faces, music and shiny stuff... With more or less predictable twist and though there is a lot of shiny stuff things are not always so bright...I admit it I am a huge sucker for this type of dramas, and have had the male lead in this on my crush list for quite a while... the female lead was pretty decent but nothing wowed me about her... though she did have her moments the over all impression was good enough... however her group mate Yu Ri Ah and the at times slightly evil second female lead La Ri Ma stole my heart... and well so did the boys groups such sweethearts the whole bunch...
It was a lot of fun to watch the main couples way to becoming a couple and try to figure things out.It was especially fun to watch the male leads shift from ice cold to completely obsessed to cold as ice in the same scene... As well as the way he looked at anything that had to do with the male lead with melting eyes... she on the other hand was not as easy to read as the guy... However once they did they became kind of meeh...
What never became a meeh was the interactions between the group members, as well as the other couples... they were all lovely.
There are very few annoying elements in this drama, but there is some cringe that should make me take away stars but my new found crush on half the cast kind of made up for those parts. So Is this drama actually worth 9,5 stars... probably not, but it is highly bingable, highly entertaining and just my cup of coffee...
