Allot of drama and dispaisable characters with a side of charm
This was my first Lakorn so when reading this you may want to know that I judge it according to previous dramas watched and have honestly no knowledge of lakorns at all, and am more familiar with c-and k-dramas.What do you get if you take all the aggravating characters in Go ahead, Suits and Something in the rain along with bits and pieces of the plot to Remember:war of the son and put them together in one drama? Well probably something close to this.
A good thing that is also bad is that most of the characters go thru allot of development and change making non of them truly lovable, some pretty dispisable but even they have some good qualities at times making you feel allot of disappointment.
Though the male lead is very charming most of the time he does not really measure up to Jung Hae In (sorry). He does come off as pretty charming and cool most of the time and is probably the most likable character in this drama but falls short towards the end and feels kind of pathetic.
The female lead, is supposed to be bad ass but is essentially just a selfish scaredy cat, with some fine moments but to be honest she is just not very lovable.
The friends are annoying at times but over all seem to be the voice of reason in this drama, and display some pretty good friendship goals so hats off to them.
The Second female lead kind of gave me sls at times she is pretty cool and actually knows what she wants unlike the female lead who well you will see if you watch it.
The parent bring out my inner anger so much that I had to take a break to look at puppies whenever they came on a sign of me actually caring about the drama enough to get angry.
So all in all if you want a show with big variety that will have you charmed by the male lead and mad at the same time this is most definitely worth watching. But be where you will probably feel a range of emotions including some deep, deep frustration.

Revenge of the kittens
This so called horror movie is among the most adorable horror movies I have ever seen! And actually has a little bit of everything in it. Thought the pace in the beginning may not be great , most of the effects make sure you do not think this is real and some of the actors where still in need of a lesson or two, Park Min Young and Kim Ye Ron rocked theirs roles and where a pleasure to watch, this movie has ALLOT of cute fluffy cats as well as some pretty scary cats and seem to try to convey several messages. The most important one being, be kind to cats or you too shall die, so it actually has some humour in it too.
All in all not a masterpiece but most definitely worth watching,

Short and sweet
This was really short and cute. The main couple is just adorable and really seem to care for eachother and are not afraid to show some public displays of effection. Every single act was consensual and tho they do face some obstecals the main focus seems to be their love and longing for eachother as well as the trouble of having to be apart during the mandatory military serviceAnd can you recognise the mains (without looking at the list) so cool to see them at the start of their very success careers.

This drama has a little bit of everything I like in a drama, it has sweet, sweet flirting, bad ass woman, evil parents, corruption, conspiracy, war, confronting abelism, domestic violence, activism, forced marriage, sports, friendship... As well as tackling issues of inequality in every aspect of life. I especially loved the way this drama portrays the different consequences rich v.s poor people face for their activism and so called illegal actions and demonstrations a topic that never seems to get outdated (so are the others).
This drama has an amazing pace and build up. with every episode adding parts to the complexity of the situation and adding new dimension to the escalating conflict helping the the viewers to gradually get in to and understand the the plot. Not one single moment was boring and my ayes where more or less constantly moist.
I often (not always, and not only) judge a drama over its ability to ability to awaken my emotions and this one did just that I felt sorrow, angst, anger, suspense, fluffy inside (tho they did make me cringe once or twice) and made me fall competently in love with this cast. The acting here was top notch, and so was the writing making it feel real. There was not one single character with annoying dialog, mimics or flat no matter how small their side-part was (not guest rolls). I did of course want to knock some sense in to people, screamed nooooooo once or twice at the screen but that is to be expected.
The cinematography was gorgeous and the music fit perfectly as well So yes I loved it and I gave it 10 well deserved stars.
So... If you are more of the no romance war type or if you are looking for a fluffy happy romance move along there is nothing to see here.... But if you are a sucker for tragedy and fluff like me this is defiantly worth a watch.
P.S. I like the fluff too, especially after watching something like this i need to cleans my soul with some pure fluff before moving on.

When society terns us in to our worst enemy it can be hard to know what to tell sunset...
This is a very sweet yet at times emotional roller coaster drama, breaking your heart over and over again. Telling the story of a journey with many victims on the way to figuring out what is true in ones heart. Actually showing how every singel person and choice matter no matter how insignificant he/she/thy may think they are. This story shows surprisingly few signs of prejudges from the outside world and has full fokus on the inner struggles of a person trying to figure out his feelings and the affect on both himself and the people around him who become collateral damage on the way to self-acceptance. Honestly a journey that would have been allot easier if people where taught inclusion from the start, but well that is probably to much to ask for, but hey one day...
It is at times easy to get mad and frustrated by the lead for making so extremely poor choices while lacking communication skills, but what is youth if not that a series of poor choices while learning to deal with the consequences of ones actions. Plus even if the drama shows very little signs of prejudges from the outside world, Tahs struggles are most definitely a result of growing up in a hetero-normative society. So it is there while not being there... kind of like a ghost in the background whispering do not forget you live in a hetero-normative society over and over again.
What makes this drama special is that every singel bad choice was called out and had a realistic non sugarcoated consequence, giving a realistic feel to this drama. I also loved how friendship and different types of relationships are portrayed in this drama, as well as the way they portray the value of a living in a supportive environment for growth and in the long run self acceptance.
This drama has allot of playful fun scenes between the heavy emotions, swimming and running around on beautiful beaches making studying seem FUN, and you might just learn a word or two in Chinese.
All in all this is defiantly a drama worth a watch, I am looking forward to season 2 but hope Tah has become more comfortable with himself so that the relationship can grow and hope he can stop hurting himself and the people around him.
P.s I want to make a side note about the existence of people who are pansexuall as well as bisexuall, just because you fall in love with a person with the same assumed sex as yours does not automatically make you a lesbian or a homosexual. A man can fall in and out of love with a girl and then fall in love with a boy... That boy could be assumed to be a boy but actually be a girl too. Sexuality and gender identity are a spectrum, sound complicated but it is not.

A lovely romcom that will make you wanna kiss, kiss, kiss a consensual kiss
I do not always rate dramas solely on how they make me feel but this one probably is 90% feels 10% quality. Because I did feel a range of emotions with everything from, happy, nervous, hot, tickled, sad, angry to confused. To be honest the production was mediocre and the best acting skills where probably shown by the child actors in the later episodes (though most of the skills improved with time). This drama was mostly an easy to watch, sweet, steamy, fluffy drama with a cold and awkward main lead along side a worm and loving other main lead. Some episodes dealt with important issues showing the importance of living in a supportive environment and the harm a joke can make. Giving this otherwise extremely light, fluffy, steamy, funny rom com a slight serious core between the laughs.
This truly has the makes of a classic rom-com drama with all the parts including a love triangel, jealousy, mild stalking, consensual relations, childhood sweetharts and misunderstandings all topped off with an OST that setts the mood for each scene and a theme song that just will not leave your head no matter how hard you try.. I wanna kiss, kiss, kiss.... I wanna kiss you, do you wanna kiss me too... so it may kind of make you want to kiss just a bout any one.. okay not anyone but it will awaken your wish to kiss, so if you do not have some one who you can kiss in a consensual way you might want to prepare your self. A big plus is how this drama deals with the issue of consent and the complexity of finding trust in another human being. I loved this dramas take on the classic scandal/celebrity relationship theme probably making viewers mad but staying true to the characters personality, as well as the problems that may occur while facing the harsh reality of facing pressure from others. Can love survive anything? And how much would you be willing to forgive/sacrifice for love?
Another plus was the way this drama portrays femininity, masculinity and sexuality showing a spectrum not playing in to traditional gender roles and stereotypes. As well as criticizing both the industry and the female gaze in a very smart way,
All in all this is defiantly a lovely rom com about a actually not so lovely writer but a lovely actor that just seems to want to be kissed by the not so lovely writer...

Cinderella meets Dark Magic and some other stuff...
This started off kind off meeh, with an abundance of over the top annoying characters and the some kind of familier vibe that took me back to 100 days my prince (same writer) that had me waiting for Rowoon to start saying Hoho in this kind of awkward I am above you kind of tone... Just that I never got the Hoho...In this modern and anciant Cinderella meets black magic and stalking drama. Equipped with the evil (highly annoying) step sisters in the form of colleagues, an evil step mother (the second female lead) and yes a prince (our lead). Some may find this drama messy with a lot of subplots and stuff that don't really add anything to the plot. which is kind of true but if you can just ignore that stuff and instead think of it as diversions that are there to make it harder to guess the main plot and have you guessing (done kind of poorly) you may find them ok...
What ups the score is the character development of our leads, the mom, the grandma and the fact that I love my messy clichefests. And I do feel that I have to warn you that even though Rowoon did a good job and looks like he was created to look to perfect, there is a high probability for SLS as Ha Joon plays his character to perfection and makes a damn good second male lead.
So this is not for those who need the plot to actually make sense or have some kind of consistency.I would be lying if I said this did have any of that. This is more of a watch for those who can appreciate turning off their brain for a while. Just watch some pretty scenery, one of dramalands most beautifully filmed bloody death scenes as well as a bunch very good looking leads. In a place where those who are evil are really evil and you can never be fully sure about those who are supposed to be good.
And as you can see this works perfectly for me in my current mood, but is defiantly not for everyone.

Could have been so good without the romance...
I am conflicted about this drama, there is a lot of goodness in it pretty faces, funny scenes, decent acting, lovely gazes and some pretty deep thoughts between the fluff.Had they only made this a story of friendship support, pain and healing, though I hate the word healing this would have been great and would probably have gotten a much higher score, however having a romantic plot line between a dog and a human does not work for me at all and makes me feel really uncomfortable. I am trying to understand this phenomena as I do see it from time to time? Is wishing one pets became human a real thing? Do people actually want to have a romantic relationship with a human with the the mentality of a dog? Hot and muscular as the person may be, knowing this is the human form of the pet he once cared for? Seriously? Why? I get that there is a lot of love but romance? Really?
Losing my dog was one of the hardest things I have ever been through, going home to a dog less flat was unimaginable several years later I still miss my dog a lot. I have had pets most of my life, so I do understand that there is a strong bond between a pet and their owner, but the pet is completely dependent of it´s owner and is more like a toddler than a lover. Lee Jae Bin did an amazing job showing us that he indeed was a dependent dog that loved his owner unconditionally. Kim Seong Hyuk who played the cat was hilarious to watch, his love line was a bit more acceptable, as he was mentally less dependent and more mature. While still keeping cat qualities + his love interest is not with his owner.
Seeing these side by side made it even more clear that the romance between Choco and his owner was disturbing.
The production itself was pretty good for what I assume is a low budget production. So basically Sweet and interesting story but kind of disturbing... that could have been great if they just left out the romance.

Captivating story that made me feel stuff...
This is the type of drama that will both keep you on your toes, and make you fell stuff... a lot of stuff... As we follow several people in several timelines giving us just enough to not be too confused but not enough to figure out the whole story letting bit by bit unravel as we go along. What we do know is that the two main characters were each others first love and that they somehow drifted, got torn, splitt, ended... All spiking my own curiosity. The leads both young and less young are lovely, fun, relatable, human basically the type you want to get to know better and can not really get enough of. Their chemistry is great, their interactions both playful and deep Very well preformed as they managed to convey a whole lot of different emotions.
The kids in this drama ara adorable and so are most of the family bonds seen here and there, with the exception of a mother or two who I would gladly have shoved off a cliff. I truly loved the rest of the characters and wished them all happiness. Though I got to see mostly pain, and a bunch of life does not always turn out the way you want it kind of deal. I found myself rather relating to them and did not find myself overwhelmed by it but rather found it real in a way or as real as it can get, it is still a drama based on a song. The story is told in such a way that all the characters come off as real humans, with real fears, emotions, inner conflicts... and so on and so on...
One of the supporting characters has a hearing disability, she is there to move the story along, show us glimpses of the past and be part of the build up for the main characters she also gets to be portrayed as a caring sister, a mother and a lover giving us some deaf representation done right.
I love the OST in this and am fascinated by the idea of adapting a song to a drama, I do not think I have seen anything quite like that before.
To sum it up this is for the romance lovers out there who enjoy a mystery, and can take a bunch of pain, slice of life realism... And not a story for those in need of joy and fluff, so if you are just looking for fluff step away and look for something else. And though I did not fully cry I did get the lump and a tear so if you are sensitive you may just want to have some tissues nearby.

Agonizing to watch but brilliant and worth the pain
This drama is excruciating and agonizing to watch, there is no doubt that you will hate every single person in this drama at some point or another and find it extremely hard to understand the choices they make (at least I did since this dramas reality is pretty far from my own but still interesting). So if you are looking for a feel good love story move on this is NOT the drama for you no matter how cute you may think Jung Hae in is, if you are not ready to deal with the pain there won't be any gain so you just might as well move on.Yet still I gave this ten stars, why you may wonder am I a masochist? I don’t think so… Am I completely biased by Jung Hae In Probably, but I only gave a piece of your mind a 9 and it an allot easier drama to watch. To be honest the second time I watched this drama I skipped some scenes and stopped watching after the eleventh episode. So why on earth would I give this drama a 10 If I did not even want to re-watch all of it the second time around? I think I have several reasons:
1. Jung Hae Ins acting is brilliant in this, his flirting, his emotions, almost every single scene with him caused an emotional reaction, mostly happy, heart fluttering cuteness.
2. Jung Hae Ins smile the guy smiles allot in this drama and that smile is definitely contagious.
3. Jung Hae Ins styling, gorgeous sneakers and long coats matched beautifully with casual clothing (he is also shirtless once or twice) .
4. Jung Hae Ins character is just very lovable.
5. Did I mention Jung Hae In is the lead in this drama?
Junf Hae in aside…
6. The chemistry between the two leads, the humor between them and the way their love just reaches out beyond the screen is amazing and will make you feel all gooey inside.
7. The realism, unlike many other fight the patriarch dramas this drama actually shows the painful and harsh reality and consequences one may face while fighting back, no we can do it feel to it here no.
8. The issues this drama addresses are both interesting, important and complement each other well and show haw different issues relate to each other such as sexual harassment, domestic violence, prejudice, social class and controlling parenting...
9. Son Ye Jin doues an amazing jobb portraying this very conflicted character and has great caracter growth.
All in all the pluses out did the minuses by a landslide so even if I didn’t enjoy every single part of it, it is definitely worth a ten in my book.
As you see I loved this drama and I recommend it to anyone who is willing to watch it but I warn you it’s a slow paces, difficult to watch, easy to fall in love drama that will make you feel every single emotion out there (probably mostly anger) but if you are willing to ride out the hardships and focus on the cuteness it is definitely worth the watch, oh and did I mention Jung Hae In is really cute in this?

Is it really unknown?
This is a really interesting slice of life found family drama, with pretty decent acting and interesting characters who seem to be able to survive more or less anything... So I am not really sure about how realistic this portrayal is but it does manage to convey hardship, growth and bonds beyond... anything.I am not really sure how I feel a bout the romances in this, while they where very predictable and do a really good job portraying the development and events leading to the romances... I can not help but wonder if the story would have been better if the relationships stayed platonic.
But then again we would not have gotten to see Xiao Yuans fantasyes which would have been a shame as those where the cherry on top of this drama.
A good story, well portrayed but with enough iffy elamnts to keep me from giving it a higher score.

A lot of Drama
This short little series is PACKED with drama, misunderstandings, conniving, betrayal and well all things sneaky... It also has a bunch of gangsters who fight a lot, some of them are cute others kind of meeh. ..The appeal of this drama is the faced paced cliche so bad it is entertaining drama as well as the amount of slow mo shower scenes focusing on the male leads naked upper body and his fast healing skin with a side of some pretty impressive scars, Our female lead is not bad herself setting a record for the amount of times a person can get abducted per minute of show airing. As well as another record for changing her mind and finding herself embraced by the male lead in slow mo...
I can not say this was good, but the leads are good looking and there is a lot going on so its not a bad choice for those days you just want to watch some good looking people kiss and fight (though most of the kisses are kind of meeh)

A decent remake, yet incomplete
This remake has some similarities with the original but switched out most of the testosterone, impulse, lack of consent and lust with a whole lot of found family, slices of life, fluff and dare I say romance.Do not get me wrong there is still the need to own the other person and signs of addiction towards each other, just not as hard core and where there once was pinning down, and more or less kidnapping we now have playful games and kisses on the cheek.
How this made it though the notorious hands of Chinese censorship is beyond me but I thank who ever let the obvious gayness slide and called it "bromance" instead. there are som pretty decent friendships, an odd use of crossdressing, and whole lot of meals. The star of this show is however the boys little sister.
The things that drag down the score are the over use of flash backs and never ending montages, the uneven pacing and odd ending leaving me with a feeling of incomplete, which is a bit to bad.
All an all a decent watch but just a little bit incomplete...

Could have been so good but...
I would probably rated it a 9 or a 9,5 if they only cut it down to 24 episodes and cut out the best friends couple... as this has so much great in it I feel sad to have to rate it below an 8 but I just can not ignore all the annoying elements, fillers and unnecessary confusion in some of the episodes. The female lead is probably one of my favourite fl in all of of c-dramaland, smart pretty, witty, fun to watch has great humour and spunk without being mean or toxic.
The male lead is sweet, considerate, vulnerable and also all lovely about 90% of the drama but those 10% of WTF completely ruined all the other amazing 90%.
The people around them range from ooh my why are you so annoying to oh I like you... Some people start off as these great characters bubbly, smart and fun but just take a dive to self centred and annoying making me think of the meme "I was rooting for you.."
The use of hoodies, ppl and umbrellas is lovely, the turtle pets are just the cutest turtles ever and there is even a guest appearance of a fluffy dog.
The visuals and colors in this are amazing, it is fun to watch how often the clothes and PPL communicate with their surroundings people keep matching either each other or the decor... it is like an explosion of couple outfits for all (couple or not).
The romance is decent, gives a bunch of feels, loughs and kisses... not the best kisses I have seen and they all seem to get cut oddly... but they do the job.
So what can I say, watch it but keep in mind that it has a lot of unnecessary fillers and annoying elements so speed watch and skip scenes are your friends....

A lovely selection of glimpses in to peoples lives... done right
Things I do not generally enjoy: Healing, multiple mains, episodic/antholagies, emotional banter... So I was basically about to drop this after the first quarter episode... But then someone got me to think again and oh am I glad I did because between the annoying emotional healing stuff there are actually a whole bunch of interesting fun stories... Stories of people standing up for themselves, people making mistakes, regret... Chasing dreams without the whole against all odds b.s. that often follows...Happy people, sad people, not so many annoying people... a whole bunch of broken people who just need to take a break to be able to either move on or move back...
What I love about the drama is the cast, yes I am shallow and I have seen many of these people before and more or less love em all so yes I am bias, and I am not ashamed to admit it. I also love the complexity of each story it is not all black and white, good, bad. I finally fell in love and if I do don't get that person I will never love again type of deal... that I admit to enjoy watching too... however not always giving people the happy ending with the person the story built up to be their happy ending felt really refreshing. So I would say the romance in this was really diverse and interesting. The family ties gave interesting stories and came from several angels, not all my cup of coffee but they did work as a whole...
Okay this may be my messiest review yet, but in short, some of the stories here had me tearing up, others made my heart flutter and some just got on my nerves (sometimes the same story for all). So I did indeed enjoy watching this and defiantly recommend this to all you romance and slice of life lovers out there.
