Mobsters are people too....
This is probably an 8,75 show... so I may or may not up it to a 9... why purely for entertainment value, the story itself is nothing remarkable it is just the typical cop investigates mob a little bit to closely... gets trapped here and there and falls in love... All with a bunch of slightly underdeveloped intrigues , misunderstanding and more or less predictable twist...Showing us a lovely selection of types of assault (including sexual), gun shots, stabbing, kidnapping... you name it this drama has it.. However the main couple is actually pretty supportive and seem to listen in one another's needs odd but true this is actually possible even for a mobster...
The Mobster guy is an icicle combined with a huge sense of playfulness while the cop is mr thinking positive bubbly love boy... cute as a button and the two together are a blast to watch from start to finish... I love the way these two interact and even if there are some flags here and there it kind of works anyway...
The second couple is one part so naive I am impressed the guy is still alive with mysterious ether jacket! great combo, not so much consent... and a lot of flirting with food... again fun to watch indeed.
This drama may not have constantly kept me on my toes, but it was still a nice rom com without to overly annoying characters and a pretty consistent character and relationship development from the leads leaving most of the drama to the supporting cast... Which is what makes this a bit different than many other dramas.
Definitely too easy to binge, it latterly felt like i just started it when it suddenly said The End.

Bland main plot, great side plot
When society treats LGBTQ+ people as side characters and second class citizens so will the mainstream dramas... you get the story of a spineless dreamy hairdresser with magical hands and kissable lips bumps in to the goddess of his childhood, only to discover that his goddess is actually human in a not so thrilling but pretty decent display of clichés. Pleasing the normative eye and showing the viewers how mediocre mainstream stories that fit the normative eye will get more space than the truly interesting and good stories of those outside the norm..There are few dramas that show this relation as well as this drama, as society often takes the hetero for granted and is willing to both invest more money and give better spots to the norm. Reflecting perfectly the way society values the stories of the norm vs the outside the norm. is this pretty mediocre story a cover for the much better and way more interesting side story, in an attempt to get the story told without being labelled a BL, a type of drama with a great fan bace here and there but let´s face it much lower budgets and seldom given equal opportunities and space in mainstream media... Or at least that would explain how this otherwise pretty a decent but kind of bland main story was completely outshined by the side story and second couple romance. A story that was in no way perfect but caught my attention a lot more than the main plot. A story making me wish for more and hoping for a spin off, or extra scenes.
The Side Couple:
Slightly homophobic player falls in love with loyal, strong and forward guy... As we get to see this typical enemies to lovers type plot it takes time for this couple to pick off but once they do we get all the right clichés. done right... ok not all right as there is a forced kiss that is actually cheered on by a crowed... but other than that the story is interesting. The couple is fun to watch , their interactions make way for some pretty decent humour and they seem both relatable and human in a way...
The Best Friend
Is su much fun, she is bubbly, forward, scared, relatable and says what most of the audience is thinking. Her interactions with both couples are priceless.
The ML
Sweeter than sweet but in a way that it hurts people, however he is kind, he may not have a spine but he is pretty cam and sturdy. The type not to get intimidated by strong woman and the type who will stay loyal in to absurdity.
The FL
Smart, vulnerable yet strong and seems to have some pretty decent values and good lines here and there.
The Mom
Not they typical mom but needs to learn about boundaries...
The Second FL
Needs to get a clue, a life and has more red flags than may day in china.
The Second ML
Very bland...
The colleagues:
These people rock, I love them and want them to be in the spin off, there is a lesbian side character that I would love to see more of.
Bingeablity: high
To be completely honest this drama has some pretty progressive scenes here and there but also a bunch that are so backward they need to be sent back to the 50's and stay there... Making me often at conflict with myself... However I do think this drama has more good than bad to offer and I would recommend it both for the side story (it starts getting good about episode 7 or 8) and for the lovely display of family and friendship.

Fun, sweet, interesting plot
I am trying to find the right words to describe the first part of this beautiful duo (both movies and characters). The movie starts off showing us two very different beautiful boys.
One is known for disappointing the ladies by having a beautiful face but never living up to the charm the girls expect from him. The other is known for being more of a fantasy than a man, who will give more or less anyone a chance to live in the dream of dating him for one week, before he ends it in a beautiful way leaving all his exes happy with the experience. While this behaviour has become well known and more of a joke, this wounded soul really is just trying to mend his broken heart and fall in love.
The first guy is of course cureus and seems to have the approach "Ill try anything once" having this set for a week seems to make it "safe" for him to enter and have fun with it....
The dynamics between these two very different characters is really sweet and fun to watch as they try to understand each other.
And is definitely an interesting start making you long for more... luckily this is from 2015 so part two is already out there and fully subbed...

Beautiful visuals but missing a plot...
This review will not contain any spoilers because even if I try there really is not much to spoil... for this combination travel and food show and Line Man commercial... The Shots are slooow and I can not complain the least bit about the visuals in this whatever it is, beautiful food, beautiful people and beautiful potential...The acting or is it the lines I do not know... ranges between really bad to pretty okay from 1 side character that feels natural and fun and all round interesting (Bie) the rest just fall short in both skill (shown, they may be great actors just not here) and seem to just be there to show off food and the beauty of Nan (not the bread, the place).
The character are pretty flat and uninteresting, and I can't decide if the son daughter relationship is good or just odd... They actually start off with great potential during the first half of the show so I was hopeful but then just did not develop at all + made an out of character move that just felt all off... I did however enjoy the voice of reason in the show even if his lines where awkwardly delivered. But the poor guy was subjected to quite a bit of sexuall harasment from most of his colleagues yet not a single person seems to react to it why?
Then it also turned plane boring with under developed side stories that seemed to just be there to take up space but did not really lead anywhere, come to think of it so was the main story, underdeveloped and well I am not really sure if it did lead anywhere other then to Nan... ok this is back to making me hungry...
They also seem to use the words we will always be together more than the song from Grease, If it weren't for the beauty of the shots and the first half this would have gotten a lower score

Relationships are hard and complex
This is one of those hard to watch but beautifully made dramas. every picture frame is a work of art every emotion feels real and every person is complex. What I love a bout this drama is that it is realistic, much like season one every action had realistic consequences and thought behind it. Showing the difficulties in both maintaining a long term relationship as well as finding ones place in college and well life.
The friendships portrayed her here are also a big + and we get to see allot of character growth in both of the leads, and if there is something I do love in a drama it is definitely character growth,
This is however not a happy, sweet fluff lovey dovey kind of drama though it does have its fluffy moments a big part of this is dark lonely and filled with conflicting emotions and mistakes. There is also a very upfront hoest side to this drama saying that some couples who overcome hardship will love each other more while others may become toxic. unlike the otherwise drama truth: as long as you love each other all will be well...
So if you are looking for something rugh, beautiful and real this may just be it.

Bloody, brilliant, brutal, bad-ass. beautiful...
This movie starts off very bloody, to be honest it has a pretty bloody yet surprisingly boring start but when it gets good, it gets really, really good...Both the females lines in this drama are just gold, every singel one of the females lines in this drama are truly brilliant, convention breaking greatness! Making these characters so much cooler then the bloody gangsters with their fists and knife fights. Honestly I could not care less about the bloody fights I loved this for the dialog, the dynamics and chemistry between the leads. That and though this is not a romance the tension and the humor between them was great (I want to see these two in an action rom-com drama).
The male leads voice was extremely hoarse and in that very sexy in a bad boy that can ken easily kill 20 people kind of yet stil have this adorabel teddy bear heart kind of way...
The female leads look on life, death end respect towards the elders is not only refreshing but also makes great comedy. She is also incredibly good with guns! And the perfect match to the male lead.
All in the gorgeous setting of Jeju island with just beautiful scenery and cinematography that is just lovely. The ending is very interesting, and is the perfect combination of happy and tragic ending.
This drama also teaches us, stay in school, do not join a gang, but if you happen to find your self in a gang do not trust any one and to all just keep being suspicious and know you can never truly feel safe!

Sad, funny and absolutely beautiful
This drama is a bit like the last walk on a gorgeous beach att sunset with the dog you love but have to put to sleep... Its a walk you will remember, the scenery is breathtaking, the waves will tickle you and make you laugh, the dog will look at you with its sweet innocent ayes reminding you of the joy and laughter you have sheered all while you are constantly aware of the end a head. While eating Ice cream (one each, since its the dogs last meal) some bird will scare you and make you angry... but you will also feel comforted by the dog, the taste of the ice cream, the last warming sunbeam and the sound of those amazing waves... or something like that... what I am trying to say is that this is a drama that will simply make you feel allot of emotions while beautifully portraying some of the worlds most important and relatable issues. To be honest I do not really care to much about the message of it never being to late or what not that many seem to appreciate NO, I fell for its humor and its way of portraying both gender issues, ageism and ableisem in a humanizing and humoristic way. Showing that people of all ages and ability can be competent, fragile and have hopes and dreams...
This drama is packed with witty dialog such as:
70 yr old: What about your parants?
23 yr old: My dad lives somewhere else and my mom is dead
70 yr old : I se both my parants passed away
(Yes this mad me laugh, and is just my type of humor)
Confronting gender issues:
23 yr old: When a man announces he is going to do ballet his family's response is similar to that of the five stages of grief
I love also the way it shows different kinds of relationships and the importance of finding at least one person who believes in you and is willing to support you threw hard times, as well as showing the other side of the coin. Conveying the importance of communication and beautifully showing the negative effect lack of support from the people we care most about have on us. No matter how much we try to deny it or look away we get hurt (even injured) and accomplish allot less if the ones we care about do not support us. Oh And we also get to learn a bit about ballet.
There is one side story that feels a bit unnecessary that could bring down the score and I won't say this drama is perfection or even close to it but as a whole this dramas extremely beautiful cinematography, representation, dialog and feel to it makes up for all that and makes it worthy of ten stars and a place among my favorit dramas.
So yes this is definitely a must watch!

The Yellow Umbrella At Its BEST
Do you believe in The Yellow Umbrella? This must be THE ultimate YELLOW UMBRELLA drama, putting ones faith in the power of the yellow umbrella in dramaland to the ultimate testThe drama has some of the best parts of Twinkling Watermelon meets Some Day or One Day . All covered in a yellow umbrella. And while it does have a lot of the good parts of these two excellent dramas it does not fully reach the greatness of both.
I love the different timelines, the friendships and the grandmother. The female lead has a lot of fun lines, at times a really cool attitude and is fun to watch about 70% of the time however the remaining 30%offer a few to many moments of annoying/ second hand embarrassment for me to fully understand what our fantasy to perfect to be perfect male lead sees in her. As for the other male lead male leads are a blast to watch, they are sweet, have great interactions both among themselves and with the female lead and aside from a few moments of jealousy really seem to be to good to be true. Also the girl tries to run away from the male lead so many times that I am sure that is why the drama is called Lovely Runner, but it should have been lovely umbrella...
There are a lot of twists (some better than others), sweet fun moments between all of the characters, eye-candy for as far as the aye can see and I do believe they have a thing for men (the male lead) getting out of the shower, pool, rain showing the viewers his very well chiselled abs in most of the episodes. So if you are sensitive to abs you may want to look away or make sure you are in a safe environment while watching.
Besides the abs, the cinematography is gorgeous, the use of umbrellas breath taking and the plot was wrapped up a lttle bit to fast towards the end, and it may have a hole or two but is overall pretty decent. Kisses are top, top all in all definitely one of those dramas that I will rewatch scenes from now and then.
An easy binge that will-indeed cater to all your romance, umbrella and watery needs

Easy to binge cringe
This is such an easy binge, short, sweet, fun characters and a pretty okay story. Nothing really stands out as you have probably seen the pretty much every part of the story before, just with higher budgets and not all in one show. The cinematography is mediocre at best, the acting could be a lot better but the food and the smiles of the leads are captivating... though some are probably due to embarrassment over cringey lines I can not deny that they did keep me watching 9 episodes in a go...

Bloody, brutal, beautifull... ha ha
This drama really has a little bit of everything showing humans at their best as well as at their extreme worst.. Showing us that some people truly are scary, but in a good way...What I liked about this drama was that its twists where slightly less predictable than I thought, don´t get me wrong some twits where highly predictable and at some point I found myself telling my husband not only what but how the next scene would be cut, sunds and angles... And well I was not that far from it... Even tough there where a few characters that were annoying at times I kind of got used to them and actually started enjoying watching them develop and humorously adapt to their extremely evil nature.... And was a lot less annoyed at the character portrayed by Baek Hyun Jin here than I was in The Devil Judge.
The message here is not very clear but kind of sweet in a way, and so are the interactions, choices and relationships between the characters. Who are the real monsters? Will you try to eat the person you love if you get infected with a virus that effects your brain? Will a person with rabies just bite any one or do they have preferences too? How much stress can a person take before they loose all sense? what is being the building rep really worth? are some people worth more than others?
The female lead is as cool as cool and fun gets, she has humour, she is strong and she does not take any crap from any one..... The male lead is just too cute, also strong but more willing to take crap, actually he is said to have a bad temper but considering the people around him I am willing to say he is more of a saint than anything else. Even if I do not agree with all his decisions...
The kid is sweet and a fun addition to the cast.
All in all this is a show that will keep you biting your toe nails, make your heart flutter, make you laugh at the evil and have you yelling profanities' at the screen while hiding your face from the blood splatter and those bloody teeth... yuck...
Edit: I forgot to mention that I have renamed this drama zoom zoom because they LOVE zooming in and out...

Sweet and dorky
This drama is kind of sweet, well atleast the main couple is but more or less everybody else with a few exceptions got on my nerves one way or another. The main couple is this really dorky immature, self conscious guy who falls for this super sweet (that is actually super sweet) guy. His best friend mr super popular has however had a huge crush on the dork for the longest time. Mr popular tries hard to get the attention of mr dork but mr dork just will not believe his efforts no matter what he does. But mer popular is VERY persistent borderline stalking him or is it getting him out of his shell... Well what ever it is most of the show revolves around mr populars attempts to get mr dork of his best friend and in to him instead while facing intense shipping and other peoples looks. Mr popular is however extremely sweet and caring and if we can look past the being way to persistens he is actually a model boyfriend and probably one of dramalands sweetest guys (so is his best friend).
The dorks brother is probably one of the most gross and stupid guys in the land of the bls, he had 4 good friends that may or may not be a mix of the guys in boys over flowers and fab five (ok 4) they are kind of sweet and do allot to help the plot move along. But also offensive and use unexeptable punch down, CA humor.
The highlight of this drama is the dorks parents who give us a lovely display of a happy marriage.
All in all sweet but not much more.

A Tale Of a Spoiled Little Prince and His Caregiver I mean Lover...
This is the story about Saint Akk and The Spoiled Little Prince Theo... Who Go on an adventure to find Enchanté a mysterious creature who lives inside a book... ok not inside a book but a guy everybody wants to be so they can get close the The Little Spoiled Prince... If they only knew how much of a spoiled little brat he is they may change their mind...The story itself is kind of new and pretty interesting ,the side characters and Enchanté wannabes are mostly skippable, except for Saint Akk´s family who is so sweet, fun, lovable and the icing for this drama . Especially Akk's little sister she is a just so cute, fun and bad ass, unlike her scary cat brother...
Spoiled Little Prince Theo start off pretty ok, but as the story progresses it becomes more and more obvious that we are dealing with a spoiled and insecure little prince in need of a lesson or ten in communication.... (both may need that lesson come to think of it).
The chemistry between the leads is good, there are A LOT of playful fluffy scenes... Akk is truly a fun character to watch 90% cool, fun, the type of guy who all people regardless of gender can dram of as he is both caring and entertaining giving us such lovely scenes as dancing in the shower or caring for the ill... He is also the most forgiving guy on the planet thus named Saint Akk...
In numbers:
Frustration: 9
Bingeabilaty: 10
Cuteness: 9
Annoying elements: 8
Lovable family members: 9
Deffenetly a drama I recommend, but you can probably skip all the scenes with the Enchanté wannabes and focus on the leads and their family.

Is it human nature or just evil?
If you are here for the romance then back away... and do not come back... or just watch the first two episodes and then back away that works too. This has more or less everything I love in a drama making me feel more or less every emotion possible, intrigues, dark humour and Jung Hea In... (JHI) yes JHI flirting, JHI smiling, JHI on a bike, JHI working out, JHI acting cold, JHI acting soft, JHI with a suit, JHI without a top...
It also has some annoying elements that annoy the "#"#¤ out of me with luckily just a few scenes with these unnecessary annoying characters only there as comic relief but there is so much else to make me laugh that I deem them just an unnecessary pain especially when laughed at for wearing "women's" clothing after being peed on. Just annoying...
The drama starts off a bit disneyish, making the female lead and her dorm seem like some kind of Disney type princess dorm... only missing birds and talking pets... The acting and music seemed very disney as well something that if allowed to continue would have ruined the drama but instead became a clear thought out move to set act as a contrast enhancing the very dark and evil plot.
Besides JHI, Ioved how this was made, how it kept me on my toes with more or less predictable twists (some more than others), the many aggravating characters as well as well sitting punches and punchlines... and well the darkness of the plot. I loved most of the main characters and loved to hate the others (not the annoying ones) the evil the bad ass agents with soft spots and the oh so pure evil... a feast for the eyes of any conspiracy lover... all with a well fitted ost and well lighted settings. 90% of the drama is in the same building and though I will admit that it at times I just wanted them out of there they did keep it interesting and the setting was actually very pretty with lighting and colors thru windows and what not...
TI think this also has that sky castle complexity to it... that is hard to explain to those who have not seen it.... Where greed, humanity. fear, lust and love meet... with absurd lines and absurd situations...
I am not going to say that this was perfect in anyway and yes it probably got an extra star ot 2 for JHI... but it is definitely a well written, well casted, well directed drama worth a watch. It may not be worth all the hype but it I am pretty sure the controversy around it was resolved...
Also Yoo In Na rocks!

K-ghost meets K-medical with great side characters...
K-ghost meets K-medical with all that it entails... like a mix of Oh my ghost and Dr. Romantic, with good acting, predictable story but not really enough to keep you on your toes or truly make your heart flutter... There is nothing wrong with it, but not much truly amazing either. Actually the side ghosts and their story kind of stole the show, and left me wanting a lot more or them, something that is truly rare for me since many side characters are often written in an annoying way.-Good stuff:
So side characters, great, sweet, fun, interesting!
Not a single truly annoying character!
Amazing acting from the main villain, hats off, I secretly found myself hoping he will jump out of a window...
The female leads, to little screen time but they rocked.
-Mediocre stuff:
The romance, the characters on their own were great but non of the romances felt fully developed and as the romance buff I am it felt meeh... This was probably caused by lack of screen time together.
Bingeabilaty, it did not keep me interested enough to long for the next episode.
-The stuff that made me go, oh come on...
Eternal cringey monologs, and recaps... that just did not seem to end...
Showing the ghost when inside of the person instead of the person... felt cringe in a way...
So what can I say, it was not bad, not great... if you are new to K-drama land you may actually love it! If you have seen these types of stories, you will probably think this is a well made, well casted lighter version of the stuff you have seen before...
But again the ghosts and their friendships stole the show! If they do make a rom-com spin off for the actor and the scholar I'm in!

Smile Code to Bug Code
This drama has a great cast, an interesting premise and a bunch of representation that could have made this a masterpiece...It starts out pretty fun but then it just takes a huge dive in what I assume a search for depth but just ends up boring, packed unnecessary never ending monologs and gestures that had me ruling my eyes over and over again... making it almost impossible to finish .
the story could have just ended after 15 great episodes but no they had to go an try to find some kind of justice balanace whatever thing to it... Girl chased biy, now boy must chace girl... Boy was broken and depressed, now girl must be broken and depressed... full circle nonsense annoyance...
But i made it to the end...
