Youth can be boring this film was not...
And So We Put Goldfish in the Pool is as fun as it's name... While youth in a small town can be boring, I know been there tried that not doing it again... This film was fast paced, fun, interesting and has a whole lot of beautiful shots as well as a bunch of unexpected humour. When life feels meaningless and boring... there is nothing else to do but do meaningless s***... with your friends.
I love the brutal honesty and how well this portrays the feeling of boredom...
While I understand the artistic value of the shake camera and fast flashes of light with horrible sound, my sensitive ears and eyes (yes I am old) did not really appreciate seeing/hearing them.
I did however love the authentic feel this movie has, with the not so perfect people, and not so perfect voices...
So in short I would say this is more or less a short masterpiece doing one h*** of a job portraying completely average youths who just happened to Put Goldfish in a Pool...
P.s. I personally spent most of my youth in a big city but moved to a small town the a few monthes before I turned 17 and this brought back quite a few memories... But I will admit I never put goldfish in a pool... My grown up self loved it too mostly for this scene... " go out have sex... otherwise you will end up like us... still we are happy enough"

Put things in to perspective, and pretty good, but not very entertaining and hard to rate.
I am confused, very confused... not so much about the movie itself, it is pretty straight forward though it does have some interesting twists and turns pretty good cinematography for a J movie, it is not too hard to follow the story-line. So why am i confused? Well I just do not know how I feel about the message in this movie, and about how they portray this issue. Part of me thinks that it has a really interesting take on this that we rarely see. It is not like they over simplify the issue in hand or something like that, I find myself liking and disliking it at once... and wanting them to dig deeper yet make it simpler at the same time. Yes I am contradicting myself here (that is my point). What I do like is the people here, the side stories and the side characters seem to have made for a better story than the main one. The characters are relatable, not detestable, most are actually pretty sweet. Some may need a lesson or to in communication but the story would be pretty dull if everybody was perfect.
The entertainment value is not very high, but there are some scenes that may blow your mind and the quality to the production and story are high. And it does help put things in to perspective... In a lot of more or less subtle ways...
Honestly I could have rated this anything between a 6 and a 10 depending on what I focus on and the mood I am in.

3 minutes...
These are three minutes, that will probably get your emotions started even if you did not watch the original series the music is bound to get to you but if you actually do want to understand or feel something for these 3 minutes then do watch the original drama first, it is really well written, well preformed and has a lovely sound, these 3 minutes are just like the finishing touch, making you feel a sense of longing I guess...But as I wrote it is only 3 minutes long so I do not really have much more to write here... but it looked so empty without any reviews... thus I took my time to watch those three minutes again to write this review...

Too short, I want to see more of the main couple but pretty well executed and informative.
What can one expect of a 30 minute short film?Well apparently quite a bit, this is a way to short portrayal of mainly people with different visual impairments who are part of a photography club. Where they get to introduce themselves showing a variety of impairments as well as ways to relate to having a visual impairment.
I would have wanted to see more of these people day to day life, as well as see more of the main couple interact with each other so I would have wanted this to be full length. I will admit that the entertainment value is ok, but not great but they did have me laughing with them recognising situations as well as did a pretty good job in showing how people who mean well actually can do harm as well as some day to day struggles.
The leads are phenomenal, and I liked that they used A-list stars for this, I also like how they show different aids as well as a slight glimpse into why people who need them may choose to not to use them unless completely necessary to avoid unwanted help. And As usual Han Mins character rocked, she was straight forward, competent, fun and all rownd lovable. Even if the short film focuses a but to much on the visual impairity they did manage to humanise the characters, break some stereotypes and show them as individuals with ability as well as dreams capable of attraction, desire and affection.
All in all definitely worth 30 minutes of your life! And available on YT

Never has a movie had a name that fit it so well
I do not think I have ever seen a movie with such a wide rage of ratings some love it others hate it so going in to this I did not really know what to expect so my expectations where low. The beginning is sweet and kind of funny, the middle kept me wondering when, what and where something was going to go wrong and then came the twists and while they are obviously not everyones cup of tea I enjoyed them very much and found the ending pretty satisfying. The acting was god, the OST hit the spot, the romance was definitely sweet and sour and seeing its available on Netflix and only 1 hour and 42 minutes I recommend you watch it and form your own opinion about it will you hate it or love it,

Everything I like in a k-drama but unfortunately one big flaw that drags it down
This drama has just about everything that I love in a K-drama combining important issues with humor and fluff. Not only does it have a very fluffy dog but also allot of fluffy moments and a sweet, sweet ost. the drama has great side characters who show typical K-drama development making you annoyed in the beginning but leading you to fall in love with them by the end. The drama also shows a person who likes to cross dress as a competent and complex human being who is more than just a stereotype, yet manage to show the reality this person faces in a day to day life. The drama also touches issues such as poverty, mental illness but mostly violence against woman in various forms. All things making this drama worth a watch. Add a great OST and one might wonder why I did not give this drama 10 stars. There is one reason, and one reason only for the lack of stars, though the female lead does show some character development, the way she is written is a bit off and rather adds to mental illness stereotypes than breaking them. Also conveying people who have dealt with trauma as completely broken, and yes that bothers me. I am not saying that there is a right or wrong way to deal with trauma. And can not say that I fully understand her state of mind. Some people may be able to identify with her and if that is the case all the power to you. what bothers me is that this is this feels to stereotypical and that I have seen this before adding on this notion of broken , crazy and paranoid woman also used as well as showing us it as an excuse to treat others badly. The state they show her in is one where she is so paranoid she needs allot of protection and though she is getting help her state is so extreme that it is letterly dangerous for both her and people around her to let her walk the streets = A person who should get more help and stay in an institution until she stabilises = not the typical victim. And yes I am team there should be no shame in going to a mental institution when needed. to add to this her character development is to extreme for the lack of help offered to her. And yes that bothers me.
She does however have allot of great lines. the male lead is a complex antihero but a sweetheart for most parts (but he does contradict himself) and the show overall is mostly entertaining with mostly good humor, but unfortunately also some humor that just makes me go oh come on, and how the h*** is this funny.
So overall definitely worth a watch, just dont judge it by the first episode.
p.s. Lee Su Hyuns character and singing rocks in this! gave me a new crush, not bad for a supporting role.

Beautiful, good at times, bad most of the time and annoying as...
This one is soooo hard to rate, almost as hard as it was to complete it...I would say that the characters where about 65% highly annoying and 30% amazing, great and 5% ok then highly annoying followed by ok than highly annoying again (the Female Lead) all due to writing not acting the acting was fina most of it at least not much worse than other stuff, but what was extra troubling was that the awesome characters kept interacting with the highly annoying ones, making it hard to skip if you wanted to see the awesome characters but also hard to watch because of the annoying characters. Such a SHAME and here is why:
The cinematography was beautiful, the scenery was mmmmmmm.... the faces were beautiful, the abs where not bad either... The second couple was adorable ans well so was the second male lead was just the cutest guy ever The umbrella here was such a star and it was used soooo beautifully! really enough to bring up the score. The dimple couple did look good together but their interactions where 50% annoying 40% cringe 10% cute and fun. Making my love for him fade because he liked her...
Kim Young Ok is an international treasure may she live long and prosper! the kids acting AND characters were great and one of the shows most honest lines was delivered by one of the most annoying characters.... yes it did have a bunch of good lines here and there I will give them that, but it was ruined by all the cringe.
Back to the bad, the way they make suicide sound easily avoided bugs the hell out of me, people who are close to people who have commited suicide ten to have enough what ifs as it is, making it seem like a person can hinder an attempt if they just call is just mean. And so are a bunch of other parts of this drama... cringe, superficial, highly predictable, very highly predictable in a bad way sais I who loves cliches but honestly about 80% of the twists where soooo predictable it was as if they were trying to throw us off but it was so clumsy made that any one who has seen a few dramas would guess it. Also great use of product placement as well as village feel and the found family trope thumbs up there!
Story as a whole is 8-9
Character writing 1-10
Dialog 1-10 stars
Bingebilaty 5
Extra points for some well done stuff are unfortunately less than the stuff done bad...
It is not the cast acting (most of it) that is bad it is the writing! I will probably try avoid that writer in the future...
So in conclusion if you like cringe and grownups acting like stereotypical children (an insult to children out there), or just love Kim Seon Ho enough to put yourself thru this than all the power to you enjoy! Me I am happy it is over...

A bunch of Liers,,some in Love others just obsessed
This is an easy binge, a binge that litterally brings nothing new to the table but is more of a 7,75 then a 7,5. It also has some moments of second hand embarrassment that made me almost drop it the first episode. As well as a slightly annoying childish obsessed second female lead.Bit it also has a smart female lead, fine se does seem to break a record in taking a wrong step in her heels, one moment she can run in heels the other she stumbles in to the arms of our male lead repeat... But she is fun, interesting and did not annoy me.
Our male lead spends a lot of time in the shower or just casually showing up without his shirt on. He is also mostly smart, fun to watch and slightly obsessed with both the female lead and some other stuff.
The second male lead is guaranteed not to give you SLS.
And the main villains are pretty evil.
This drama also setts a record in using truck of dooms little leathal sisters. Oh they died in a car accident, that person too, and that one, and yep... another gone and another one gone another car gets hit by a small truck...
As for chemistry and romance Id say its decent. They offer a lot of ok kisses, great ooops I caught you and now I shall stare intensely in to your eyes in slow motion with a look of "I want to devour you".
The black "I want to protect you" umbrella is well used almost to much and ends up on the ground a lot.
And we do get our beloved Co- tropes Cohabitation, Contract relationship, Coworker s...
As for the liers, we get a whole range of them as there is probably only one person who is honest in sight...

Blue and Beige Fluff...
This is such a treat for all us icicle meets bubbly fans out there.... As the cold male lead in this is probably the ultimate cold male lead... expressionless popular coooool and very straight forward. While the bubbly male lead is bubbly on the outside completely devoured by insecurity and fear on the inside.Together they take us on a journey filled with both respect and jealousy... But without the toxicity we are otherwise used to seeing in a relationship where jealousy resides. On our journey we meet some pretty interesting friendships and very beige and blue scenery. As the sea, the pavement the walls... Yes all seem to match the kids school uniforms. But also kind of boring to look at.
We also get invited in to the boys inner thoughts and shameful dreams (perfectly normal for teens) with added fluff and subtle humour here and there subtle enough to be funny and not annoy me.. We also get to see them show care for each other in very particular ways. I could actually see myself as a teen in the bubbly male lead...
The time line is is all mixed up and the drama is a bit oddly edited, but if you just try to pay attention and have some patience I am sure you will figure out both the time line and what is going on. If not you can always replay some of the scenes (I admit I did that a few times and they were just as lovely the second time as the first).
This drama may not be perfect and is not really ground breaking but I laughed, I awwed and I binged it in more or less one go.

Pretty faces, pretty voices... odd choices
I am not really sure what story they are trying to tell, I am not really sure about the quality of the humour here... Maybe it is something about the hardship of being at the bottom surrounded by popular people and trying to survive.... Maybe it is supposed to be about the trainee/idol industry as a whole...Maybe they are trying to tell us the lonely story of the idols... The lack of friendships at the bottom top... or maybe it is just a bunch of talented people doing what they do best...The music and dance was good, the dialog had a lot of good one liners and medium low humour... there was one scene that punched down a bit too much for my taste and thru gay people under the bus... making me lower the score for this. They ddi try to save it, but the damage was kind of done...
What can I say... it is pretty much meeh... with some good highlights here and there.
Annoying characters- medium
Bingeabilaty- medium
Heart-flutter - medium low...

Cute and fluffy but overcrowded with annoying elements
I would like to thank We-Tv for giving me the possibility to watch this in double speed as anything else would not have made completing this drama possible.I will start with the mostly good
Dr Gu/ Xiao Zhan starts off as sweet icicle, and is the sweetest male lead ever about 80% of the time, the rest are some pretty big red flags and lack of something but the rest is just dreamy... kind, helpful, adorable, caring... With a smile that will melt any other icicle in to a puddle of sugary gu...
His acting skills spao on, his charm is just overwhelming... Almost making me forget that he is actually kind of controlling, childish and jealous in a not so great way... And way, way to conservative slightly misogynist kind of dude... but d*** those dimples and the way he acts the rest of the time can easy confuse anyone to think he is mr. Perfect, but it also reminded me of all the good non misogynist male leads that have been in c-drama lately that may have spoiled me.
His Chemistry with Yang Zi/Lin Zhi Xiao was over the top great, their kissing scenes fluff scenes, and about 70% of their interactions are just amazing, fluffy and everything nice... the other 30 is her not listening ,not letting him talk and misunderstanding him + being very, very, very annoying.
She Is otherwise mostly smart, fun and a pretty ok character, especially when she is interacting with her mom, and not misunderstanding Dr. Gu... She is not to timid and does seam to actually have a brain... If only she was less annoying that would have been great.
All their friends are highly annoying, Though the girls mom has some sweet scenes the rest are just so annoying. Especially the dad... from start to finish the way he acted, talked did stuff jus made my blood boil...
So on a scale of 1-10
Bingabilaty- 3
Annoying elements- 9999
Fluff- 11
Values- -9
Chemistry- 9
So to sum it up.. A lot of fluff but mostly highly annoying

I guess this could be what one would call an aftershock
I do not really know why this is a spin off and not just part of the show... but then again I did not make the rules. This little extra episode is just like the first season, sweet found family and awkward insecure men who let fear, assumptions and jealousy take away form the fluff and fun they could have had.If you loved the first season you are sure to enjoy this as it is indeed in line with the rest but if you found the first season pretty good but not WOOW masterpiece... this will probably feel kind of bland. Still a good watch. as long as you did not hate the first season you should probably watch this too. Just do not expect anything revolutionary to happen.

Jealous men pushing other men up against walls
If you are looking for any sign of healthy relationships and I don't know heart fluttering fluffy romance then you may just want to turn around and look more or less anywhere else...Some good names for this title would be:
1. The Jealous and the Horney... - There are a lot of sex scenes as well as masturbation
2. Possessive Men Without Boundaries- Not a single person here knows how to set or respect boundaries and once someone claims dibs on a person they are not permitted to look at another guy...
3. If he is Jealous it means he loves you.... - As the answer to, does a person have a crush always seems to boil down to if the person gets jealous or not.
or Just: The Wall - As at least one person per episode is being forced something against a wall per episode. I honestly think MAME (the writer) has a thing for walls.
However it is oddly entertaining at times, and is a decent manual in what to avoid... checking every single point in the checklist of my articles on non consensual behaviour...
Ae seems like this super sweet, understanding love, a dream lover and what one may call a mother in laws dream... However he is actually extremely jealous, possessive and well has about as much self control as a 2 year old in a toy shop... He also seems to think that kissing/f*** is a decent way to punish people. But in a really sweet way... Making me just want to send him off to therapy and maybe a class or two about self control.
Pete- Mr timid, sweeter than sweet, is shown as someone shy who needs a man to take charge and force himself on him so that he dare say yes... Romanticising the non consensual behaviour of Ae....
Then we have some stories and characters that re appear (completely differently, both character wise and casting) later in Tharntype.... that is a spin off of this, but feels like it came first making those who have seen TharnType slightly confused. But comparing the two the non con is more subtle - more dangerous in my opinion. But the over all story is less dramatic, and actually seems to lack a core plot.
Tin and Can- Tin Can have some sweet moments as characters but are also self contradictory... as Tin seems to want to buy Can, Can is supposedly opposed to that but still seems to get sold... Can is the voice of reason at times and a complete idiot other times. And lets face it Tin may have his moments but he is kind of a jerk... However he may be the only character in this whole drama that actually experiences some kind of character development.
There is no snack ppl so the boys didn't have to force seaweed down each others throats, they kept that strictly to tongs.... But there is some very obvious Samsung PPL that even made it in to the plot...
I would also like to point out that if you do watch this you may want to bare in mind that: no matter what gender or where you put things... if it hurts someone is not paying enough attention to the other persons signals... And may just need to take a step back... That said there is also pain that is pleasurable and that is ok too...
Bingeablity- Medium to high
Guilty Pleasure- maybe an 8...
An ok watch but not much more...

A Shoulder to Sleep On
This drama feels a bit like watching to a dream, it could of course be due to my personal cold, but I am pretty sure. they also used a fluffy dreamy filter while filming this,The story has some good old fashion cliches a love at first sight/hate to love type of deal but also a bunch of new tuned down slice of life takes on trauma, self harm, athleticism and internalised homophobia done pretty ok. The acting could be better, but the boys are charming, funny and have pretty decent chemistry + a lot, and I mean a lot of lip gloss. I am however missing an episode towards the end, not only because they left me wanting more but also because most of the pacing was decent the ending + time skips was rushed.
There are some parts that lack logic and I am pretty sure one of the guys is related to Marry Poppins or at leas stole the blue prints for her bag.
If you are looking for steamy kisses or stuff like that this is a teen romance and definitely not the right place to look for it as the only steam you will find is on the filter and most of the flirting is more of the funny and sweet kind.
All in all an easy drama to binge, not only because it is short but also because it is sweet.

She didn´t make my heart flutter but it worked anyway
This is yet another a bit too short and a bit too low budget show, showing us the struggles of trying to run a lesbian bar without actually being prepared to step out of the closet. As well as a bunch of other struggles, generation gaps and types of relationships. As the show offers us several interesting relations, aunt-niece, employee-boss, friendships, co-workers, exes etc... etc... And does make for e some decent representation of ways lesbians can act and look like. There are several couples in this show, some are playful, others more shy, opposites attract all done pretty ok, however there were a few annoying moments with over acting and though I am more or less starved by lack of lesbian representation there was not much in here to truly captivate me.
However it is short and truly does only have very few moments of annoying elements the rest are pretty decent. Making me wonder what would happen if they had a bigger budget and got to truly explore these issues?
Also people, remember do not out anybody, never assume another persons sexuality, and do go watch this, if for nothing else to support the cause of making more lesbian centered shows.
