Just an orange...

This drama is a bit like the process of eating an orange a bit hard to get in to, some bitter parts here and there, some souer parts too, but overall pretty sweet and juicy... Or it could also be that it seems to be sponsored by the orange lobbyists of the world... Making me think of oranges...

The male leads ate a bit like oranges too.. as they have very sweet ores but seem to need quite a bit of help to let that sweetness out.

There is some pretty decent representation of several parts of the LGBTQIA community. however which parts may be a spoiler so I will just say that the representation was pretty decent (and write more under the spoiler tag) , however I do not know if it was something lost in translation but while most of it was decent. Again this could be due to something lost in translation/subbing but there is a part that is highly questionable (again more under spoiler),

The friendships, and relationships shown in this drama are both lovely and interesting, the mom is not the typical drama mom but is rather very lovable and the type you just want to hug and send to all those kids who may need her.

Bingabilaty: High
Annoying elements: too many flashbacks + repetitive montages but characters are all good.
Romance: 8

It does get some added points for oddly unique plot line even though it does have a whole bunch of tropes...

Defiantly worth a watch, but beware of the first couple of episodes.

I want more...

I was debating wether this is a 8, 8,5 or 9 title but considering it is a web drama it is actually pretty good, no not just pretty but really good compared to other web dramas as it actually has a pretty decent story, depth, interesting characters and quite a few fun scenes and dialog and my oh so beloved romance, even if the romance takes a back seat to the friendships and drinks in here.

The acting was ok, some actors were better than others, the cinematography good for a web drama, and the bingaebilaty very high.

The female lead is fun, bad ass yet vulnerable and though I may not support all her decisions she is pretty lovable

The other female lead is a blast, she is cool on the outside a fuzzy broken teddy bear on the inside, watching her attempt to heal is not only entertaining but heart fluttering to watch.., And yes i did ship those two... As I am sure most viewers did, as they have this great enemies to lovers/friends vibe and chemistry through the roof.

The Gay best friend is not an over the top stereotype, smart, a bit scary in a waym the type of person you truly want to stay on good terms with to say the least...

The dynamics between the three is a lot of fun!

The male lead has a gaze that can melt any one.. he is understanding, patient, and does not exhibit a single flag... just fuzz and hoodies all around.

The PPL is well incorporated and is part of the plot.

The other males are there to show us how society and men often gaslight and treat woman badly... the complete opposites from mr fuzzy hoodies... They have flags, they are flirty, they will make any girl doubt herself and seem to think woman were made for their pleasure and fun... yes they are complete #€#€%%%%# that are also completely full of them selfs... And serve great warning on what type of guy not to date...What I loved about this show was how they managed to show the girls as pretty vindictive and bad ass without making it seem to easy to leave relationships where psychological abuse is present. so an extra star for that!

So yes I recommend this drama, it is of course not flawless, but it will due for some entertainment and I admit I do feel oddly empowered after watching this... A show my younger self (before I got a fuzzy teddy bear of my own) would have needed!

I just wish. it had more episodes...

Fluff, a god, a dog and an unbelievable journey into the troubles of youth

An adorable Chihuahua on the outside BL-fan at heart presents us with the oddly real journey of 4 teens dealing with life and relatable issues affecting teens everywhere... This by letting two of these teens swatch bodies. However do not mistake the body swap theme here with punch down humour or trans identities as they do a really good job avoiding common punch lines and stick to the issues at hand as well as use this to show different types of love, gender identity as well as sexuality and do fit in a whole lot of equality not to mention a subtle wink to people on the NPF-spectrum.

In other words this has a whole lot of well done representation, as they also show that every decision in life will have consequences, and acting on them (teen or not for that matter) can much like the kid in home alone... seem all nice in the beginning but can also leave you with a whole lot of regret... Ans while some actions made by impulse can easily reversed others can't and or make way to a whole bunch of new consequences... as life, love, sexuality, gender identity, family, dreams... and what not pretty complicated...

While some people are afraid of people who are different than them, there are those who will not only accept you for who you are, but love you for being you... it may seem hard but find those people and try to move on from those who do'n't seems to be a recurring theme to this drama, a message any kid, teen, adult, senior citizen (in short human, heck dog, god and cat too) can need to hear over and over again...

Bingeabilaty: High
Friendships: 10
Romance: ok but not the main attraction in this drama
Annoying characters: no
Fluff: 10

This is definitely a youth drama I recommend to all and once my kid learns how read english well enough to follow subs I will defiantly show her this!

P.S. The fan subber who subbed this is a saint! I love how they add small comments here and there, not to much to take over but it is (as always that little extra sprinkles on top)

If Women Ruled The World...

This drama is just bursting with hope, positivity, empowerment and fluff... while it does have some common ground with other dramas within its tags... It stands out for it's slightly naive execution mentioning a lot of the issues that face mostly woman both at home and in the workforce by making it seem just a little bit to easy to overcome these and move on... Something that can be really dangerous in real life yet felt good at the same time...

The relationships and especially the romance in this drama are slow paced, slightly frustrating at times but it also leaves time for things to change, showing us that thee is a process behind every change, with ups, downs the regular cliches... Making this more of a business, self development, friendship type of drama while the romance gets to take the passenger seat... or maybe even the car behind the friendship... with lots and lots of groundwork, great chemistry, bickering fun that does not really seem to end...

What i l loved the most about this drama was how they showed the importance of a nurturing environment... As a person needs support to find the strength within... The toxic environment will more or less kill you, and it is hard to develop on your own. But Jus meeting one person who believes in the good in you may just change not only your life but also the people around you... fluffy, lovely and all nice giving me butterflies and making me just feel all good inside... even without the romance.

There are some parts that seem a bit boring here and there, I am not sure how necessary they actually were for the plot but seeing how everything comes together is actually pretty impressive.

Bingeabilaty: 9
Power to the women: 10
Romance: 8
Friendship: 9
Annoying characters: medium low
Consent: it has a unicorn but also a pretty bad way to handle the unicorn so,.. maybe an 8

A show i do recommend, just remember that not everybody has access to this type of environment, but it is nice to dream now isn't it... so go dream away, do not let me stop you...

Mirror, mirror on the wall who has the most character development of them all?

Honestly I did not think I would rate this drama this high when I started watching it... But as the plot and characters developed, they set record after record in character development...

As it started out as just another privileged kids, do mean things/use others for fun without realising that what may seem like a small deal for them could mean the world for another... (this was shown really welö btw)...

We also get the whole people pushing others against walls, forced kisses, punches, and questionable consent here and there... But unlike many others these guys seem to show remorse, showing I know, but they do, then they do s*** again but over all there seems to be some type of penceive behaviour.. And. a will to understand the others point of view. Again SHOCKING I know.

The weak male lead is smart, mature and as weak as he may be he does still have the ability to stick up for himself and what he believes in.

The Jerk Male lead is probably the guy to win the prize for most character development in all of Dramaland.

And the boy crew are as lovely as lovely gets... fine the are over protective, impulsive and way to loyal but they give off this feeling that you can be yourself and they will love you no matter what... a brotherhood worthy of its name.

I have laughed, I have been furious, I have blushed, I have had my heart flutter and I have cried, not just lump in chest but ugly snot cried with all that it entails making this drama that could have gotten anything between a 7,5 to a 9 in the beginning go full on 9,5.

Bingeabilaty: 10
Emotions: 10
quality: 7
Characters: 6-10
Annoying characters: bearly noticeable

Definitely a drama I recommend others to watch, just make sure you have tissues or a good sleeve to wipe your tears with.

A touching story with a slow start but a powerful ending!

This movie is moving and slightly painful to watch, though I would say it starts off as nothing special and kind of slow paced once it gains momentum it becomes really good... The first half (or so) is not bad or anything, it actually shows inner struggles, internalised homophobia, fear and the troubles of living in a not so accepting society pretty well it is just not that entertaining (sorry) which could have ended with a 7 star rating.

However once the movie paced up the pace, threw in some drama it was not only interesting but a whole mix of touching, eating, sweet, luna and everything all at once. Though I did not cry, the tears where defiantly not far away making the second half story a clear 10 for me.

Though the writing is mostly good, the acting and directing was inconsistent, while the girls acting was great most of the guys could have done better... The guest appearances outshone the leading men, especially Yoo Yeon Seok who is really good at playing a "bad guy".

This is definitely a movie I would recommend all, just prepare yourself for a lot of emotions (mostly pain and anger).

Youth can be boring this film was not...

And So We Put Goldfish in the Pool is as fun as it's name... While youth in a small town can be boring, I know been there tried that not doing it again... This film was fast paced, fun, interesting and has a whole lot of beautiful shots as well as a bunch of unexpected humour.

When life feels meaningless and boring... there is nothing else to do but do meaningless s***... with your friends.

I love the brutal honesty and how well this portrays the feeling of boredom...

While I understand the artistic value of the shake camera and fast flashes of light with horrible sound, my sensitive ears and eyes (yes I am old) did not really appreciate seeing/hearing them.

I did however love the authentic feel this movie has, with the not so perfect people, and not so perfect voices...

So in short I would say this is more or less a short masterpiece doing one h*** of a job portraying completely average youths who just happened to Put Goldfish in a Pool...

P.s. I personally spent most of my youth in a big city but moved to a small town the a few monthes before I turned 17 and this brought back quite a few memories... But I will admit I never put goldfish in a pool... My grown up self loved it too mostly for this scene... " go out have sex... otherwise you will end up like us... still we are happy enough"

Put things in to perspective, and pretty good, but not very entertaining and hard to rate.

I am confused, very confused... not so much about the movie itself, it is pretty straight forward though it does have some interesting twists and turns pretty good cinematography for a J movie, it is not too hard to follow the story-line. So why am i confused? Well I just do not know how I feel about the message in this movie, and about how they portray this issue. Part of me thinks that it has a really interesting take on this that we rarely see. It is not like they over simplify the issue in hand or something like that, I find myself liking and disliking it at once... and wanting them to dig deeper yet make it simpler at the same time. Yes I am contradicting myself here (that is my point).

What I do like is the people here, the side stories and the side characters seem to have made for a better story than the main one. The characters are relatable, not detestable, most are actually pretty sweet. Some may need a lesson or to in communication but the story would be pretty dull if everybody was perfect.

The entertainment value is not very high, but there are some scenes that may blow your mind and the quality to the production and story are high. And it does help put things in to perspective... In a lot of more or less subtle ways...

Honestly I could have rated this anything between a 6 and a 10 depending on what I focus on and the mood I am in.

So bad it is funny

This short film has so bad quality it is almost impossible to see who is actually in it, it has no subs that I know of but if you have seen enough K-dramas you will not need them.

It is hard to know if it the sound or the acting that make the lines badly delivered, but the music is fun, you will probably recognise Lee Jong Suks voice more than his appearance (that is how bad the quality of this is). But in less then 15 minutes you will get too se a portrayal of the lonely life of a teen living alone with a depressed, possibly alcoholic and possibly unemployed father who does not really seem to cara much about his son but is served hangover soup...

The music here is fun and is the perfect contrast to the depressing life of this lonely teen.

And that is about it, I gave it 8 stars for the so bad it is fun to watch as well as what those 15 minutes actually include, as you may guess not for the high quality, but I do think this may be a must watch for any fan of Lee Jong Suk... or maybe not if you want to stay his fan... your choice I guess...

3 minutes...

These are three minutes, that will probably get your emotions started even if you did not watch the original series the music is bound to get to you but if you actually do want to understand or feel something for these 3 minutes then do watch the original drama first, it is really well written, well preformed and has a lovely sound, these 3 minutes are just like the finishing touch, making you feel a sense of longing I guess...

But as I wrote it is only 3 minutes long so I do not really have much more to write here... but it looked so empty without any reviews... thus I took my time to watch those three minutes again to write this review...

Too short, I want to see more of the main couple but pretty well executed and informative.

What can one expect of a 30 minute short film?

Well apparently quite a bit, this is a way to short portrayal of mainly people with different visual impairments who are part of a photography club. Where they get to introduce themselves showing a variety of impairments as well as ways to relate to having a visual impairment.

I would have wanted to see more of these people day to day life, as well as see more of the main couple interact with each other so I would have wanted this to be full length. I will admit that the entertainment value is ok, but not great but they did have me laughing with them recognising situations as well as did a pretty good job in showing how people who mean well actually can do harm as well as some day to day struggles.

The leads are phenomenal, and I liked that they used A-list stars for this, I also like how they show different aids as well as a slight glimpse into why people who need them may choose to not to use them unless completely necessary to avoid unwanted help. And As usual Han Mins character rocked, she was straight forward, competent, fun and all rownd lovable. Even if the short film focuses a but to much on the visual impairity they did manage to humanise the characters, break some stereotypes and show them as individuals with ability as well as dreams capable of attraction, desire and affection.

All in all definitely worth 30 minutes of your life! And available on YT

Everything I like in a k-drama but unfortunately one big flaw that drags it down

This drama has just about everything that I love in a K-drama combining important issues with humor and fluff. Not only does it have a very fluffy dog but also allot of fluffy moments and a sweet, sweet ost. the drama has great side characters who show typical K-drama development making you annoyed in the beginning but leading you to fall in love with them by the end. The drama also shows a person who likes to cross dress as a competent and complex human being who is more than just a stereotype, yet manage to show the reality this person faces in a day to day life. The drama also touches issues such as poverty, mental illness but mostly violence against woman in various forms. All things making this drama worth a watch. Add a great OST and one might wonder why I did not give this drama 10 stars.

There is one reason, and one reason only for the lack of stars, though the female lead does show some character development, the way she is written is a bit off and rather adds to mental illness stereotypes than breaking them. Also conveying people who have dealt with trauma as completely broken, and yes that bothers me. I am not saying that there is a right or wrong way to deal with trauma. And can not say that I fully understand her state of mind. Some people may be able to identify with her and if that is the case all the power to you. what bothers me is that this is this feels to stereotypical and that I have seen this before adding on this notion of broken , crazy and paranoid woman also used as well as showing us it as an excuse to treat others badly. The state they show her in is one where she is so paranoid she needs allot of protection and though she is getting help her state is so extreme that it is letterly dangerous for both her and people around her to let her walk the streets = A person who should get more help and stay in an institution until she stabilises = not the typical victim. And yes I am team there should be no shame in going to a mental institution when needed. to add to this her character development is to extreme for the lack of help offered to her. And yes that bothers me.

She does however have allot of great lines. the male lead is a complex antihero but a sweetheart for most parts (but he does contradict himself) and the show overall is mostly entertaining with mostly good humor, but unfortunately also some humor that just makes me go oh come on, and how the h*** is this funny.

So overall definitely worth a watch, just dont judge it by the first episode.

p.s. Lee Su Hyuns character and singing rocks in this! gave me a new crush, not bad for a supporting role.

Blue and Beige Fluff...

This is such a treat for all us icicle meets bubbly fans out there.... As the cold male lead in this is probably the ultimate cold male lead... expressionless popular coooool and very straight forward. While the bubbly male lead is bubbly on the outside completely devoured by insecurity and fear on the inside.

Together they take us on a journey filled with both respect and jealousy... But without the toxicity we are otherwise used to seeing in a relationship where jealousy resides. On our journey we meet some pretty interesting friendships and very beige and blue scenery. As the sea, the pavement the walls... Yes all seem to match the kids school uniforms. But also kind of boring to look at.

We also get invited in to the boys inner thoughts and shameful dreams (perfectly normal for teens) with added fluff and subtle humour here and there subtle enough to be funny and not annoy me.. We also get to see them show care for each other in very particular ways. I could actually see myself as a teen in the bubbly male lead...

The time line is is all mixed up and the drama is a bit oddly edited, but if you just try to pay attention and have some patience I am sure you will figure out both the time line and what is going on. If not you can always replay some of the scenes (I admit I did that a few times and they were just as lovely the second time as the first).

This drama may not be perfect and is not really ground breaking but I laughed, I awwed and I binged it in more or less one go.

Cute and sweet but the male lead is a bit to much...

This drama truly is such an adorable dose of cotton candy sweet fluff... A drama that actually mentions the word consent more than once as well as calls lack of consent for what it is, that on it's own should probably give this a 10... However there is something about the "unlucky" male lead Kota that get's on my nerves at times even if he also has this adorable awkwardness to him and a playful side it is slightly drowned out by the over the top mimics and gestures. The other male lead is just the sweets, well acted out not over the top guy ever, I get why everybody loves him and wish we would have gotten to hear more of his inner monologs as I am pretty sure they would have been just as great if not better then Kotas.

The supporting characters are barely noticeable but the do fill their function making this a very main couple centred plot, which I like, especially for a show as short as this.

Fluff: 10- it even has fluffy filming
Chemistry: 9
Romance: 8
Consent: 9
Suspence: 7
Annoying characters: Kota at times but the rest are decent
Bingabilaty; 10

Definitely a show I recommend to all in need of a dose of sugar between the hard stuff...

Pretty faces, pretty voices... odd choices

I am not really sure what story they are trying to tell, I am not really sure about the quality of the humour here... Maybe it is something about the hardship of being at the bottom surrounded by popular people and trying to survive.... Maybe it is supposed to be about the trainee/idol industry as a whole...Maybe they are trying to tell us the lonely story of the idols... The lack of friendships at the bottom top... or maybe it is just a bunch of talented people doing what they do best...

The music and dance was good, the dialog had a lot of good one liners and medium low humour... there was one scene that punched down a bit too much for my taste and thru gay people under the bus... making me lower the score for this. They ddi try to save it, but the damage was kind of done...

What can I say... it is pretty much meeh... with some good highlights here and there.

Annoying characters- medium
Bingeabilaty- medium
Heart-flutter - medium low...
