This show has a yellow filter even in Korean scenes 🤷 In fact many scenes are desaturated and sombre. It isn't a "happy" show in tone, for the most part. And yes, different filters are constantly used in dramas to set the mood. Blues and yellows especially but I have also seen greens for sci fi.

If you think this filter is giving a negative reputation to Turkey I can only say it's silly. The shots were gorgeous. If they wanted a negative image, they could have filmed in Tarlabasi exclusively. They didn't 🤷

Not to mention that the wider context is that they show their own society as very dark, corrupted and rotten at the core. This isn't a show that is using Turkey to show how great Korea is.

What USA does when they portray Mexico is not connected to this drama. Anyway, I have said my part and it is useless to repeat it continuously.

Yes, racism absolutely exists and it's very visible in some Korean shows (there was recently that romcom where the idol went to Africa, now that is racist).
