Toxic but too much.. Unbelievable
I ubderstand that we eatch series to live in a fantasy world, and I was very excited for FortPeat to try something new, and I am hapoy for them. They did try something new and this script was good.However, Peat's acting was wanting. Fort did a good job. Ken, the antagonist, made us hate and question him, so he did a good job too, ig.
Peat was chasing, for a change, and that premise was good.
The problem was: TOO MUCH DRAMA, TOO MANY TWISTS, LOTS OF NEGATIVITY AND IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE. Peat's character was actually borderline psychopathic, it seemed.
And the script just keep on flowing uncontrollably, mindlessly like a river. Kelvin (Peat's character) just kept on going.
The problem was that the writers made him do every toxic thing that audience falls for... And they made him do all those actions.
They tried to recreate the Wicked Game but this show jusy turned out to be even more wretched than the Wicked Game, which was good and enjoyable till at least 8 episodes.
This one I could only continue watching because of my guilty pleasure: FortPeat. The NC scenes were good, a notch higher than Love Sea. The wine scene, especially, took my breath away and I had to pause a few times. Similarly, another scene where Vier gifts pyjama set to Kelvin.. My my!!
Overall, one can watch this if they have nothing else to watch and admire FortPeat's chemistry.
Sidenote: TOO MUCH MAKEUP. FORT LITERALLY LOOKED LIKE A DOLL. Dumb it down makeup team.

Acting Chops!!!
It truly was the acting and tje complex wanna-be artsy story, showing extremely intricate characters, that reeled me in. I wanted to watch their acting as I love Gun's acting beyond anything. He is a marvellous actor and super cute to look at too. That cutie really did play some truly antagonising characters, but his character, Jira, in this show, was so complex and so less understood. The show becomes one of the more mature storylines for me. Not as reckoning as Shine but still, not a fluffy cute drama, and actual story. Dew's acting was too good as well. Plus, I was constantly rooting for PheemJira because Dew's chemistry with Gun was on fire. Shows how great actors they are! I think it deserves a watch.Was this review helpful to you?
BEST OF 2025!! (After Shine the Series)
WHAT A MASTERPIECE! What a satisfying watch! Played like exactly it should have played. CBLs are no joke! Everyone got their due.Happy ending and truly just one of the most satisfying storylines.
Truly Wicked BLACK FLAG ML, Bodhisattva partner, and lot of chaos but well-dealt by creators and writers. Amazing story! Mustwatch.
The ML repented and there was real understanding and contrition. Fan Xiao really did atone a lot, although it will take him a lifetime, but still, the love was always there, even when he couldn't recognise it. You Shulang was such a powerful but miserable character but he did not take anything lying down and fought back hard. The comeuppance for Fan Xiao meted out by You Shulang was so satisfying to watch. He didn't just fall back into the arms of Fan Xiao, he made him grovel and work hard years for it.
The production quality was so good, pacing was perfect, acting was amazing, Everything just fantastic!! Better than Revenged Love for sure, I was truly invested and wasn't bored for even a single minute.
No rushed ending like ABO Desire.
It truly was one of the best BLs of 2025!
Kept me on tenterhooks all the time!

Truly one of the best BL series of 2025! Absolutely loved it! What a great plot, what mind-bending and heart-wrenching twists, Pin truly came out to be a bitch.I have watched till episode 11 and the starcast is such an eye candy and everyone is acting so well!
OMG, Pearl looks too good to be true and Peak is just like a heavenly angel. Peak can improve much more though in intimacy scenes and acting.
I believe chemistry was there but much more could have been there, it felt like two straight actors doing their job. I wasn't truly fooled by their acting, so I think this could have been worked upon. Perth was, as always, a delight to watch but her character Pin truly was a bitch, sorry.
But all came to naught as they got happy ending in ep 12, I have heard. I am yet to watch.
Still, I loved the drama and series. Real and hardcore. Melancholy all around.
Truly, a must watch! Loved the screenplay, the acting the cinematography, the plot -- just everything!

Possibly, one of the best Kbls out there with actual passion!!
Mustwatch series. Great story, great cinematography, marvelous KISSING (First in KBL) and great NC scenes (for a KBL). WETV did a great job with this one and actually made a really good story! I am so satisfied that I decided to watch this!I was so surprised by the great kissing and the beautiful scenes altogether! The story is also unique, refreshing, and just makes you fall in love with all the characters!

The beginning is so exciting but The Ending is Bad
Till Episode 6/7, I loved it and was truly excited for it. But the way they just rushed the ending and everyone just kept on dying without any head or tail to the matter.. It was just senseless violence and nothing made any sense after the father's death, it was just chaos and an absolute disaster. The acting was overall okay and the production too but the shooting sequences, the blood, even the acting from male leads ... Everything just kept getting worse and worse.The DaouOffroad kiss and intimacy scenes were lacklustre. The kisses seemed so awkward and passion-less.. They were kissing with pursed lips, their body language or anything else didn't scream 'longing'..
The show after episode 7 truly felt like formality. Disappointing, to say the least. To my dismay, it left a sour aftertaste when the beginning promised me a rollercoaster ride and an exciting, diff storyline.
Unfortunately, not every series is KinnPorsche or has its level of logic.

ABSOLUTE MUSTWATCH! Staggeringly affecting and will leave a lasting impression!
Truly well-directed, well-acted, well-produced piece of cinema which moves even the last part of one's heart and soul.What a master script and story! The acting and the cast.. The young actors, the teenagers and the adult ones portrayed Yuan so well! Wow!
I am in awe! My heart is still beating fast after that intimate scene which was more a clip of all their thoughts abd moments..
The story was so well-crafted. I am moved to read Priest's actual novel on which this series is based.
Please watch it. Be patient. It is true korean cinema, with its own slow-burn and patient storytelling .

Another mindblowing series from BOC
What a great plot, greatscting, NC scene, and marvelous direction! Absolutely a mastetpiece! Must-watch!Just felt that chemistry was missing in almost all the pairs, especially, in the lead pair. Acting was great but romance was quite rushed and underdeveloped.
However, the plot nd cinematography cover it all.

Everything was perfect! The acting, the story, the writing, the direction, the heartbreak, the ending, couldn't have been better! The screenplay, the cinematography.. I am in awe!
Shine the Series is easily one of the top BLs out there and the goated BOC delivered a masterpiece with this series. It served it on a high-end mature platter and upped itself. KinnPorsche seems a child in front of this series. BOC promised and it delivered.
