I thow this is not my question but Cannot resist answering. Acc to me, its till 30 and afterwards. I was so much into transmigrated heroines from lightnovels (Ming Lan in the novel is also one) that i found it so good when she took revenge in the dark. Well we knew. Being that ruthlessly evil reminded me of those leads from the book. Ming Lan is one of a kind to me for that and so the first part. I usually skip parts without romance. But this was so different for me. (Not all the 30 epis are revenge driven. It is just towards the end but the stage is set from epi 1)

It is not her developing ...it is us developing to understand her in the later episodes.. There is so much delibration and pain that goes into her every action... after the series when i look back at the first 5 episodes(which i liked less at that time) i sort of admire her. She never gave away......not even ....one thing......Only XFN understands and plays along with everone else. Sigh*
And no shr doesn't become physically strong in this season. We will have to wait till next to see her weilding that sword. And yep the lead characters are teenagers

You can cut them into half . I think it is at epi 30. Before 30 GTY is just a supporting character and the highlight is minglan's revenge... After 30 comes the romance and politics mainly. For joy of life too first 30 can be regarded as part 1 if you want to for the sake of breaking it up.
Now i know (among other reasons mentioned here) why this drama reminds me of The Story of Minglan. The music here..... has a similiar playful charm like the music in Ming Lan. esp the polo playing scene.

I think her intentions are not limited to just disciplining her lil brother... I hope she exacted personal revenge too 🤭 But the camera didnt stay long enough to copy the myriad of expressive emotions that might have flashed through her face. I just glimpsed her tearing up a bit. It should have been an epic moment with all those conflicting feelings rushing in - the good the evil, the personal, the public... I love the fl so far.
