Romance and fantasy dramas are my usual go-to but I like to watch thrillers now and then. The first couple eps are pretty sad with the ML being a mess, but it starts to pick up as it goes along.

Just give it a try, the ML looks better in the drama itself and the romance with FL isn't a main point, as you can see there's no romance tag, it focuses more on his family dynamics and his political aspirations.

In what way is the ML average looking? Also i kinda agree with the age gaps but in the show from what I remember they were at uni at the same time, so he plays a character that's around a few years older than her, both in their 30s.

I'm so confused by this scene 19 minutes into the last episode where Su Jeong and her family visit her mother’s columbarium. It shows her mom was born in 1979, but that makes no sense. Su Jeong was 19 (18 in international age) in 2009, which means if her mom were alive, she’d only be 30 at that time. That would mean she gave birth to Su Jeong at around 11… Did I miss something, or is this just a major timeline error?
